Came here for dinner with my boyfriend on Monday night. We wanted to try this place for awhile. The atmosphere is very nice and it reminds me of a classic Italian restaurant. The service was fantastic. Our server was very nice. The menu is pretty simple and has the classic Italian dishes. We ended up getting a clam chowder, Caesar salad, Shrimp Scampi, and Chicken Parmesan. The dishes were very plentiful and very generous. Everything tasted very yummy. This is one of my favorite places to eat of all time. The food is amazing and priced really well. We made a reservation but showed up early, and were immediately sat. Our waiter was wonderful! We had the mozzarella marinara which is definitely my favorite part of the meal, and something I make sure to get every time. Then my husband and I both had pastas and enjoyed them immensely! We finished with a wonderful piece of New York style cheesecake that was to die for. We were even treated to a free glass of champagne as we celebrated our first wedding anniversary. The atmosphere is wonderful and romantic, the food is amazing, and I cannot recommend this place highly enough. I will always make it a point to dine here whenever I get the chance. read more

As we get older cousins get together at funerals. We decided to change this and 12 of us had lunch here. (Before another one of us died) Spoke to Ryan and Haley setting it up. My husband and I came here for the first time a couple of days ago and had the best experience! We had made a reservation and when we got there they sat us right away. We got the meal for two which included an appetizer, two meals for that night, two meals to go and a dessert for $45! Everything was delicious, and our service was EXCELLENT. We tried different bruschettas, had the risotto Parmesan balls, ravioli, lasagna and chocolate cake - EVERYTHING was perfect and came out in a timely manner. Had reservations for noon on a Monday. I showed up with my party of 5 and informed them of our reservation. We were shortly seated therafter and that's about it. The restaurant was not crowded and was not overly busy. Fast forward TEN MINUTES and no water, no orders, no further acknowledgement from the staff that we had been seated. When we first came we didn't have a great experience. But have since given it a few more tries and it's more consistent and flavorful.

We were out shopping and decided to give Maggiano's a try. This was our first time dining at Maggiano's and we learned that the original location is in St Louis. As usual, we dined at the bar and had attentive and helpful service from the staff. We started with warm and soft bread with dipping oil personally mixed for us my the bartender. The menu offers a wide variety of home style Italian dishes. We played it easy and had the lasagna (me) and tortellini (wife). The read sauce has a hint of sweetness and was very tasty. Large portions! The offer a variety of side salads. Had an apple pastry with vanilla ice cream for dessert. To top it off, we were provided two entree's, of our choosing, to take home for dinner the following night! (Apparently that's the new trend in Italian dining) read more

Ordered a full set up meal for 20 persons at 11:00 in the morning. The girl gave us great service and wrote note for staff for the full set-up instructions. Prepaid the order and advised would pick up at 5pm. When arrived didn't know I had prepaid the order and didn't have pans, plates or anything ready. Went back to get them and were out of large heating pans as they explained orders came in after mine that used up all the pans. We took smaller pans and finally got plates, etc and left 15 minutes later than originally scheduled for. Very disappointing when you preplan. read more

We celebrated my husband's 61st birthday last evening. The food and service did NOT disappoint. The appetizers and salads were so filling , we had little room for our main course "spaghetti'. First off I was thrown for a bit of a loop having only eaten at Maggianos on the east coast before. I didn't realize that some dishes vary regionally. The atmosphere compared to other locations was overall the same this location presented as a more upscale style. In addition, I noticed the prices were on average a dollar more. The service was amazing, it's been a long time since I've experienced that welcoming and attention to detail in the service industry. Almost would come back just for the service. However, the food was lazy especially compare to other Maggiano locations. If this was my first time here having never experience Maggiano I wouldn't be back. The garlic bread wasn't bad the flavor was all there but the bread was drastically different. I expect a boule style Bread that's absolutely saturated in that cream truffle butter to the point it melts in your mouth. However, what was served was a baguette-style crostini which wasn't bad but doesn't hold a candle to comparison. For the entree, I went with comfort pasta the baked ziti, which I wouldn't call baked let alone baked ziti even if it's made with ziti noodles. The season meats were more of sliced Italian sausage, added to a bowl of tomato sauce-covered ziti noodles. With the finishing touches being a glob of cheese melted on top but I wouldn't go so far as to claim this was truly baked, let alone a baked ziti but more of a lazy renditioning of the dish. Overall, if this was my first time at a Maggiano I would rate it 3/5 but because I expected so much more compared to the three different locations I had prior it's a 2/5. read more

Last midweek night we went there for dinner, it was not busy at all. This was our first time there. The Server did not explain anything about the resturant menu or what options we have or the special of the night. After my wife mentioned about what she heard about the place, she pulled out a smaller menu from the middle pocket of the main menu and informed us that is what we can also order from and get to have another entree to take home. She was not personable at all, very dry and to the point, she even drops off our water glass like robot passing by our table and leaving a glass at our table, mind you, she only had our table to attend, we had to ask for doughy bread every time to bring. She would disappear for so long that we had another server to fetch her to bring us the bill! It would be great to train and hire people that fit to be personable enough and like to interact with people, since this is not a fast food place. We visited Maggiano's for the first time with my husband for a date night. I was skeptical to go because of the pervious not so great reviews. We had a wonderful experience. The food was amazing and so was the service. We had reservations at 7:00pm and left the restaurant at 7:25pm. My husband got the Chicken Parmesan and I got the Rigatoni Arrabbiata. Both extremely good and highly recommended! The bread with olive oil that is served before the meal was also fantastic. We will be going back to Maggiano's! read more

Came in here for dinner a couple of weeks back. Check in- the Hostess couldn't find our party's reservation. Luckily one of our party was comping back in and saw us. Dress- casual to nice, depends on time and day Ambiance- seemed a bit on the loud side on our Saturday evening but it was pretty packed. Service- our server was very friendly, patient and helpful Food- I ordered salmon salad- it was average. The salmon was lukewarm when received which wasn't a huge deal for me because it was a salad. The server offered to take it back. It was also pretty bland. The plating was nicely done but I'd rather it be tasty than look good. The Caesar salad my table mates received looked yummy and they confirmed it was tasty. They don't have Italian spice for the bread dipping - I did find that a bit odd. The food quality was not all that bad, but then again, it was a little uninspired. For the food we got, it was also a bit expensive. However, we REALLY did not like the lack of service since serving two entrees, one salad, and one glass of wine took around one hour (around 2PM on a weekday) when getting service and food should never take this amount of time. The wine order alone came in about 20 minutes after that order was requested. So given we have really enjoyed the Maggiano's in Bethesda, MD, and in Indianapolis, IN, and so we originally anticipated our visit in Overland Park, KS, but most unfortunately it was a bust. read more

We went in on early Friday afternoon for dessert and coffee. A stressful week and just wanted to talk and treat ourselves. We sat in the bar and the bartender was great describing the desserts and we had a great Bailey's cappuccino. The chocolate cake could feed 3 people as well as the huge cream brulee. The bar was relaxing with four other groups. UNTIL the manager sat at an end table and the hostess came in to complain about how a waiter treated her. THEN the waiter came in and the three continued their conflict resolution. We could hear it all. No one goes to a restaurant to pay to hear employees reprimanded and the atmosphere ruined. Thinking it was over, the hostess came back to him to continue to air her complaints so I finally walked over and told him we could hear what was happening and it was ruining our dining. He said he usually does it in his office?!?! The waiter, food and drink was all great but he put stress back in our day. The waiter apologized and took the cost of drinks off. Held my son's rehearsal dinner here last week and chose family style. We had our own room and the food kept coming. Everything was delicious. The wedding rehearsal ended earlier than planned and I called ahead and they were able to accommodate us arriving 30 minutes prior to what was scheduled. My husband and I chose to celebrate our anniversary at Maggiano's for a late lunch/early dinner (we dined around 3 pm), and are SO glad we did! The restaurant is very open and full of light; it makes it so inviting to linger over a meal. Our server was Lora, and she was absolutely SUPERB! When she found out it was our first time at Maggiano's, she took time to lead us through the menu, talk about their specials, and find out if we were celebrating a particular event. Because it was our anniversary, she gifted us with a complimentary order of lemon cookies, which were DELECTABLE! Lora was very attentive, checking to ensure we were enjoying every course of our meal and filling our drink glasses as needed. Our meals were completely, utterly DELICIOUS; everything was fresh and flavorful. The marinara sauce on my eggplant Parmesan and my husband's spaghetti and meatballs was robust without being too spicy, and both our meals were cooked to perfection (which is not always easy with eggplant!). We ordered the Marco's Meal, so in addition to our entrees, we each enjoyed a salad and dessert. I had the chopped salad and my husband had Maggiano's salad; both were extremely tasty. We finished our meal with an order of tiramisu, which was the real deal--ladyfingers, not cake, and genuine mascarpone cheese. Bene! As part of Marco's Meal, we were also given two entrees to take home with us; I ordered the mushroom ravioli and my husband chose the fettucini alfredo. I waited to write this review until we had our to-go entrees, and I can say that both were just as delicious as our meals at the restaurant; the sauce for both was silky-smooth and amazingly creamy. Maggiano's is upscale without being intimidating, and would be equally appropriate for an everyday meal or for celebrating a special occasion. We'll definitely be back! read more

I had the rigatoni and it was incredible.......but the best of all was the sauteed mushrooms in the dish. I wish I could learn how to cook those as they do here, I am 59 yo and have been at my share of the finer restaurants in town, but this was honestly one of the most fabulous flavors I have EVER tasted many good things here.
