Our family had a great experience at Olive Garden in Olathe. A big shout out to Lydia our waitress. We were there in advance of our grandsons pre k graduation. Lydia was most attentive to timing and the needs of a large group. The restaurant has a great menu and the food was tasty. The service was prompt and courteous. I was running my errands one Saturday and was jonesing for pasta. It was a little after 11 am when I got there, but the parking lot was already starting to fill. I walked in, was greeted, and asked how many in my party. Since I was on my own, the greeter asked if I'd like to sit at the bar. I took a booth in the bar area and was approached in under a minute by Ryan. He was very nice. I hadn't had a chance to look at the menu yet, so he said he'd check back on me in a few. The rest of the booths filled pretty quickly and I saw a steady line of people coming in, heading into what I'm guessing is the dining room. The whole restaurant was filled with the sound of a lot of people casually interacting. It was cheerful without being intrusive. When Ryan got back he took my order. I decided on the Build Your Own Pasta - Spaghetti Noodles, Meat Sauce, and ordered Asparagus side. Ryan was very friendly and knowledgeable. He was quick and attentive. Anyone who's seen the commercials knows Olive Garden is famous for their endless soup or salad and breadsticks. I chose soup because it's still too cold out for me to eat salad (that's my story and I'm sticking to it). Ryan made suggestions based on his favorite, Chicken Gnocchi. He even asked the kitchen to hold my entree for a a few minutes, so I'd have time with the soup. The chicken gnocchi was a little too salty for me. So Ryan switched it to the Minestrone, which I liked a lot better. The Spaghetti with Meat Sauce was good, a lot better than I can do, and that's exactly what I was looking for. And since it's Saturday, I even splurged with meat. I liked it. I would order it again. The asparagus wasn't anything special. Sad, thin-looking, with a stringy texture it wasn't worth the money. The manager on duty was walking around, consistently checking on people. That's something you don't see a lot of these days. He circled by me twice during my lunch. Ryan mentioned they have a survey when you use their kiosk to pay, and it would help him to have me answer it, but the survey is so short and the questions so vague, I don't know how Olive Garden can identify strengths and weaknesses based on the feedback. It asked nothing about the quality of the food or the service. "Do they have a wide variety of sides?" What am I supposed to do with that? I have gone to this location many times before and never had an issue. A few nights ago my family decided to order in. When I received our food I found MOLD in my son's kids meal! I then called the restaurant and the manager working that night apologized and offered to refund our whole meal and I was going to just leave it at that. But I received my "refund" a whole whopping $10. My biggest issue is first and foremost the mold in my son's food makes me wonder what else goes on in that kitchen. Service was great, and the food came out very quickly. I really enjoyed the soup, bread, Fettuccine Alfredo, and shrimp appetizer. The only downside was that the salad didn't taste very fresh. Stopped in for dinner with some friends, two of us at the table got the never ending pasta. I am not sure why this come with a side but... I got the soup and my buddy got the salad. You would expect a small side salad, nope they brought the big bowl. After we put in our orders it did take forever to get our meal. You almost need to just order your second dish as soon as the first one arrives. The food was absolutely delicious and is why it got 4 stars. After our food came our server checked on us once and then disappeared. Abigail was our server on this trip and she was delightful. Very helpful and attentive. For 6pm on weeknight, it was very busy and very noisy (lots of kids), but the food and service was good as usual. I ordered the seasonal special, Calabrian Steak and Shrimp Bucatini. While spicy, I didn't get any of the familiar Italian flavor profile I have come to expect from Italian based dishes. I did enjoy it and have no other critiques of the meal. I have not been to Olive Garden in ages. There is not in Lawrence, KS where I live so it requires a drive out of town. The occasion presented itself to go with several friends so off to Kansas City I went. After some intense discussion about which restaurant to patronize, Olive Garden got the final vote because my friend liked their soup. Lol Soup on a scorching summer day was not on my mind, however. There were too many other dishes to enjoy. The menu is extensive and they have all sorts of fare to sample. I waffled between the chicken carbonara and the chicken marsala got the final vote. It was superb. The chicken was so incredibly tender and moist. It was a huge portion but I wanted more. It was so good, I might even travel back to KC just for this dish. It was my friends birthday and they brought her a chocolate lasagna that we shared. It was delicious but oh-so-rich. There is no way someone could eat a piece without serious repercussions. Lol. Totally decadent. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. There was the traditional salad and breadsticks which we also enjoyed. I had completely forgotten how truly good the breadsticks are at the restaurant. Simply delicious. The decor was lovely and classy. This is a huge restaurant and nicely decorated. There is an ample parking and this restaurant is easy to access. Interior and exterior were nicely done. All the staff seemed super nice and accommodating. Our servers were great and very professional. One nice touch was they brought out to-go containers before we even asked. Portion sizes are more-than generous! The only negative that I noticed is that it seemed a wee bit high. I thought things were somewhat pricey. Yes, there was a lot of food but it seemed that every dish was at least $20. That's not bad for the quality and amount you get, though. I think I just had sticker shock at first. Great evening, terrific food, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended but bring your wallet. I don't think anything has changed here in 15 years. If you're going on a busier night, you actually need a reservation. I walked into Olive Garden expecting unlimited breadsticks and left questioning every decision I've ever made. The hostess Aniya.. looked like I'd personally offended her by showing up hungry, and we didn't even get seated. They took us off the waitlist once, as they claimed was a "mistake." They then told us we were restored on the waitlist and then we waited another 20 minutes, after 20 minutes I go up to ANIYA and ask where we are on the waitlist, and i was given a nasty smirk, she then proceeded to tell us we weren't on the waitlist after telling us we had been restored earlier. She proceeded to then tell us to wait another 15-20 minutes, so we left. 10/10 would recommend if your hobby is standing around questioning your life choices while watching other people eat carbs. read more

I actually like this Olive Garden a lot more than the others I have been to over the years. The interior is decorated much better and it just has more of an Italian restaurant feel to it. Olive Garden is a good place to try Italian food. It's a nice & comfortable place to eat, and the food is good and the prices seem very reasonable for what you get. Along with each meal you get your choice of endless Italian salad or a selection of soups. Because l have difficulty deciding what to order, I'll order the Tour of Italy. It comes with a trio of Chicken Parmigiana, Lasagna, Fettuccine Alfredo. Believe their pastas are made in-house and are very good. But I get an urge and have to really come for their salad, and then get whatever else I order. read more

We eat at Olive Garden periodically- dine in and take out. I still enjoy their food. The soup is delicious as are the bread sticks. I usually get the Eggplant Parmesan. The servings are plentiful. We used Olive Garden to cater our wedding and it was very disappointing. They charged us over $200 to "serve" the food but showed up way too early, pressured us to hurry up and serve the food, then stacked up the trays 5 and 6 high so the top ones were all cold. And they didn't swap out when empty so we had a lot of food left over but people left hungry. Also left all of the trash under the tables so we had to deal with it. read more

I think this is the worst service I've ever received and I never even ended up being seated. We joined the waitlist with a 30 minute wait. We received the text saying our table was ready, so we went up to the host, ANAYA , and she told us we'd be seated soon and to just wait a few minutes because they were a little behind. We waited 10 MINUTES and we went up to ANAYA again and she said we'd been removed from the waitlist and she said she'd restore it and it would be another 20 MINUTES . So we waited that 20 MINUTES and when we went up to ask ANAYA if we'd be seated soon, because it had been 20 MINUTES, she laughed in our faces and said we hadn't been added to the waitlist and we'd have to wait another 20 MINUTES. MIGHT I ADD this happened to almost all the other people who were waiting. ANAYA sweetie, I don't care if it was your first week, the way we were just disregarded is something I have never had happen to me in a restaurant before. I've never felt so disrespected in my life. We started off with pretty decent service, we started to notice that our server Megan R started to wonder around and not serve us any water and had to ask for a refill ourselves. At this point I was pretty mad when I got my food I asked for a steak and a side of asparagus, pretty easy to remember right? but no Megan forgot to even put the asparagus into the system. After we all ate our food we had to pay there was 3 people and two of us shared a check and one paid separately, we ordered a fried Mozzarella and we wanted to spilt the Mozzarella between two checks, Megan MESSED IT UP NOT ONCE NOT TWICE BUT THREE TIMES. I don't know if that improves time efficiency for the servers or what, but it was tedious and kind of confusing. $17 zoodles? Next time I'd ask for half of the sauce to be put on the side. I have not been to this location in years and this was my experience: Customer service: Our server, Heather knocked it out of the park with her awesome customer service! She was attentive, kept our drinks filled, and was beyond kind! She was one of the best servers we've had in a long time! Sadly, I cannot say the same for the front of the house staff. One staff member in particular was taking a to-go order to a car and did not thank my husband when he opened and held the door for her. Staffing: This location seemed fully staffed and there was a lot of diversity among team members. We did not wait a long time for a table, breadsticks or the main entree and the manager on duty was present. Crowds: It was Saturday evening around 6, so it was crowded. There was a 10 minute wait and it did thin out considerably once we finished our dinner. Parking was a nuisance though. Food: We ordered the cheese ravioli and lasagna fritta. The lasagna needed salt and pepper and tasted better after getting past the slightly overcooked end pieces. The cheese ravioli had good flavor and needed more meat in the meat sauce. The salad had way too much dressing on it but the breadsticks were on point. For desert, we had the Italian doughnuts and tiramisu. Both were fantastic! On my way out of Kansas City to the airport and in 20 degree weather and a sleet storm on November 11, 2019, my friend and I decided on meeting up at this Olive Garden for lunch. It was the first time in a while that I've been personally in a place where it was snowing and sleeting. It was cold, blustery, and interesting. With that said, I was here around 11:30am on a cold Monday morning, Veterans Day 2019 for lunch. This Olive Garden was full of life, but thankfully, we were seated right away and didn't have to wait. Ironically, you could fill yourself up with the salad and breadsticks combo, but we opted for an entree along with the aforementioned combo of salad and breadsticks to complete the meal. I ultimately ordered the steak with fettuccine Alfredo, along with a beer I don't recall, but took a photo of it. Olive Garden Italian restaurant is one of those places where if you don't know where to go to eat, chances are this is a good place to go. Thankful that my friend recommended this place, even though it was in Olathe and not in Overland Park. We spent about a good hour here before parting ways. It was a simple lunch, but enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo, as I rarely have that unless I'm traveling to run 13.1 or 26.2 somewhere around the country. The overall experience here at this Olive Garden in Olathe, Kansas was quite nice and relaxing. The service here was friendly and casual. It was like having a friend with you at all times. Making friends is a fun thing to do while traveling. The ambiance at this Olathe Olive Garden was quiet and calm. While there were people there, we sat in a quiet corner of the restaurant and didn't feel like we had to yell to hear each other. The restaurant set up is like any other Olive Garden anywhere in the country. Quite clean and busy to serve everyone. This Olive Garden is located at 15090 W 119th Street here in the heart of Olathe, Kansas. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. They have a generous parking lot available for y'all who do drive and live local. For those of us who don't drive, I'm not familiar with Kansas City's public transportation option, but best bet is to either get here via rental car or try to find uber or lyft on your phone for lunch or dinner. For the most part though, I enjoyed myself here and hope you will too. The steak was ordered rare and it was an 8 oz steak, I think. It was cooked beautifully and tasted great. Didn't need to have any A-1 sauce or anything. It was just that good. Combined with the fettuccine Alfredo, it was a dish that was purely the best thing to have on a cold sleeting morning in November 2019 in Kansas. The beer was good and crisp. Pretty sure it may be a Heineken, although I can't be too sure on that. For the most part though, this experience to Olive Garden was essential and happy that my friend made the trip from Shawnee to pick me up in Corporate Woods / Overland Park, then came to Olathe for lunch that day. It was a nice lunch that was the highlight of the day, although seeing snow on this trip was a surprise as well. If you are in the area and love Olive Garden, consider this location in Olathe. You'll be glad you stopped by. Went to take my wife out for her birthday with the kids. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated. Server was fairly attentive taking the order, but apparently that's when service here stops. A different person brought out our food and left. Daughters food was Luke warm at best and didn't taste too great. My wife's food was also just barely warm and unappealing looking. I got the soup and salad, can't really mess that up. Server never came back to check on us or see how the food was. Never received refills on soup or our drinks or the breadsticks. Could visibly see our server just standing around talking with coworkers. I hunted down a manager who tried her best to correct things. But all in all it was a bad experience. read more
