Great googalie moogalie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really like Maggie's! I really like their specials! I liked the chicken pot pie I had today enough to write another 5-star review for the place. Check out the picture I posed to see this wonder of the culinary perfection. They take their pie dough (a work of art itself) and lay it over a molding form of some sort before filling the ensuing cavity with a rich mixture of chicken, vegetables and that goo you always find in a chicken pot pie. They close it up and bake it until it is golden brown and perfectly flaky. They use a good amount of tender, moist chicken breast meat that was nicely seasoned to ensure it isn't bland. Vegetables that were obviously fresh when added to the mix are in there also. Goo that was more of a gravy than the typical goo and full of fall flavors rounds out the inside components. They offer a regular or Caesar salad on the side. I went with the Caesar and found a pleasant lemony flavor on top of the anchovy and cheese normally present in a proper Caesar dressing. Fresh greens, blah, blah, blah...the real star of the meal was the Chicken Pot Pie!!! Apparently, this gem comes back around on a monthly basis during the winter months. January, February and March appearances of this masterpiece will most definitely be added to my calendar. read more

"Business Park Oasis" Driving up I felt like I was picking up equipment. Once inside, the place is actually pretty nice. Service- I got in line, order my food, filled my cup then sat down. The food was actually delivered to me at the table on real plates with silverware. I got my own refills. Unsweet tea- well made & needed no sugar/sweetener Salad- The special salad of the day was grilled chicken, strawberries & caramelized walnuts on mixed greens with poppyseed dressing & a sliver of toast. The strawberries were fresh, full of flavor, sliced & seemed hand picked without imperfections. The rest of the salad was great, but the chicken was just OK. The chicken reminded me of canned or boiled & not grilled. Desert- I got a chocolate pudding type filling on top of crust dessert that IDK the name. It was interestingly different. I thought of it as a browny mix pudding pie... (?) Too rich for me & took my 3 attempts to eat just a little square. Next time I need to try a cookie like many others. read more

All I can say is wow, Maggie where have you been all my life! Just like me you are going to need to do a little bit of work to find Maggie's, as its not in one of the most high traffic areas. I have to give credit to both Allen C and Kat V for turning me onto this place, if it wasn't for the two of them talking about a the Chicken & Waffle special last fall I would have never known about Maggie's, luckily I have been back a number of times since. For those that don't know Maggie's is hidden in the midst of an industrial office park in Fenton. Not exactly the place you think of when you quality food. Maggie's serves up quality sandwiches and other American fare along with desert items like gooey butter cake, Dutch apple pie, English toffee blondes and cupcakes! Breakfast options are also available which leads me to believe that this caters to the local workers. Lunch rush is usually pretty busy with a steady stream of people, I can tell that this place is a favorite with the workers in the area. The daily special usually offer a large variety, however their daily menu is pretty simple. I tend to stick with the Chicken Club Sandwich, which is a large chicken breast served either fried or grilled served on a artisan bun. Overall this is a great sandwich, however the real surprise is the sweet treats. The Gooey Butter cake is great and usually a huge portion, so it's perfect to cut in half and save for later. read more

Wanted something different than fast food near Fenton and here are. We were able to sit outside on this 75 degree day in June and couldn't be happier. We ordered the food and sat outside. In about 5 minutes we were eating. The Cuban sandwich I enjoyed had about a lb of meat on it, the Dijon mustard had great flavor and the pickle have it great tang. The wife had their Cobb salad, great portion, and super fresh. The real treat was the very rich Gooey Butter cake that had signature texture. Oh, one last thing. The herb garden out front is utilized and has exceptional aromatics while you enjoy your lunch. Don't pass up Maggie's Lunch Box if the hunger arrises. read more

I work in a pretty industrial part of Fenton, so when I heard my coworkers talking about a place called Maggie's Lunchbox that was literally seconds from our building, I was a little wary. I was expecting a hole in the wall spot filled with construction workers and sub-par food. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into Maggie's Lunchbox and was instead greeted with a HUGE, brightly lit, cute space! Diamond in the rough! I was greeted by a friendly worker, and decided to take a few minutes to study the menu. I settled on the grilled chicken sandwich. Served on a fresh roll with lettuce, tomato, and mayo, it was exactly what this hungry girl needed. It came with your choice of sides (potato salad, cole slaw, pasta salad, or chips). I went with chips. They serve Billy Goat chips (only the BEST chips in STL) so that's another plus. The sandwich came out pretty quickly and was super tasty. I'm not going to wax poetic about a chicken sandwich, because seriously? It's just a chicken sandwich. But it was a GOOD chicken sandwich, and that's all I can ask for. Maggie's also has a nice selection of desserts; cupcakes, pies, cookies, and gooey butter cake. Against my better judgement, I bought a piece of the gooey butter cake. READ: do NOT get the gooey butter cake. I usually love the stuff, but this was the worst gooey butter cake I've ever had in my life. Remember those packets with the crackers and the little tub of processed cheese we all used to eat as kids? I think it was called a Velveeta snack pack or something. Well, the 'gooey' part of this gooey butter cake tasted JUST like Velveeta cheese. JUST LIKE IT. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they used. It was foul. I took a bite and threw the rest away. My waistline thanked me, but my tastebuds were sad. Anyway, bottom line: go to Maggie's if you're in the area. It's good food at a reasonable price. Maggie tucked away her lunch box in a nondescript office park in MO. Thanks to the magic of Yelp, I was able to grab breakfast here before a meeting. The food was excellent. I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a croissant, which had a great homemade touch, and everything was nice and fresh. My colleague had a salad and we both got coffee. I think lunch was under $10. In New York, it would be that much just to purchase the rights to a chair. The other food (lunch and dessert) also looked appetizing, and I will definitely be back if I'm in town! read more

I was at three stars, but then I remembered this cookie and just had to bump them up. Yes, it was THAT GOOD. Otherwise, I had a veggie sandwich. If you're ever in need of a delicious coma inducer, head to Maggie's and get the Banana Walnut Pancakes for lunch. Fresh slices of banana and chopped walnuts are found within these thick and fluffy cakes. I could have sworn that they were packed with bananas, nuts... and sedatives. I got back from lunch and wanted a nap so very badly. The side of potatoes was good, but a little on the burnt side. I made the mistake of ordering sleep inducers for lunch, but you can be saved for the low, low price of.... well, nothing. That's pretty low, right? I can't say were the best I've ever had, but overall, they had good flavour and texture. I am advising that it's not a good idea for when you need to be productive after eating them. I met some friends for lunch. This is such a great place with friendly staff who have so much patience with every order. You order up-front and pay there. They give you a number and bring the food to your table. I got a ham and Swiss sandwich without bread, adding cucumber, pickles, coarse-ground mustard, mayo, tomatoes, red onion, avocado, lettuce and portabella mushrooms. I didn't want one of the sides. I wanted the creamy mushroom soup. He offered it as a side replacement for a mere additional 50 cents. I did that. Lunch for $8.02, including tax. Man, oh man, was this a stupendous lunch. I knife-and-forked the non-sandwich sandwich. It was all fabulous . . . such fresh ingredients. And they put the mayo and the mustard on the side in little containers, so I could use as much or as little as I wanted. The creamy mushroom soup was so good and creamy, a wonderful earthy taste. Served appropriately hot, but not tongue-curdling. EVEN with pickles on my sandwich, I got a fabulous pickle spear on the side . . . I always eat the pickle first, and it was delicious. I appreciate so much that they serve their food respectfully on real plates and you have real tableware to eat your meal. On my way out I got 2 "Mostess" cupcakes and two turtle brownies for the boys for $10.76, so they were $2.50 each. They were HUGE. I never got to taste either one of them. They were consumed so quickly. I'd say that's a winner. read more

I stopped by this place on my way to a haircut appointment. It's tucked away in an industrial warehouse section just south of 44. I actually drove by the place because I was looking for something that resembled a restaurant. From the outside, this place looks just like all the other industrial warehouses in the area. Inside is spacious, well appointed, and modern and staffed with friendly people. They have lots of pastries, cookies and desserts right up front. It's hard not to notice them. But I needed a sandwich... not sweets. I ordered a veggie sandwich and a bowl of creamy vegetable soup. Both were just ok. Cost was around $13. But really, how can you screw up or improve on bread and veggies... or soup for that matter. I'm sure the other items are better than my selection. Cute little cafe in an unsuspecting location. The restaurant opens up nicely on the inside allowing for lots of lunch time diners to sit comfortably. I elected to not have the special of the day and ordered the Cuban with a tea and chips. My lunch partner had the chicken pasta special. Both lunch's were adequate in portion. Maggie's is tucked off the main road in a little strip center in the middle of nowhere, down in Fenton Missouri. Service was great, quick, fast & attentive. Maggie's Lunchbox is a restaurant that is in an industrial park which makes it a rather odd place to have a restaurant; however, when you go inside, it's completely different than what one might expect. It seems small when you get there, but it's not really that small. There are two large rooms toward the back with plenty of seating for customers. Also, they do a large amount of business at lunch time, too. There menu is on the wall above the counter. You go in and order at the counter, and then they bring your food out to you when they have it ready. The food was good, and I liked it because it was a little more than I expected. The bacon was larger than average pieces and cooked crispy the way I liked it. The bread was slightly toasted and like that, too. The salad was fresh and crispy, but more importantly, cold and crunchy; that I liked, too. It was a good price for what I got. I am planning to return when I'm in the area again. read more

Stopped in here for lunch with my son on a snow day. It is kind of tucked back in an industrial park in Fenton. I saw it a couple of weeks ago while visiting another company in the industrial park. I had the Cuban Panini and my son had the BLT. Both sandwiches were excellent and pretty large, large enough that two people could split one. My son had a side of chili that was pretty good and I had the chips. I was glad to see the restaurant using Billy Goat chips, a local St. Louis chip maker. Their pastries looked great although we did not partake and the Ice tea was good. Something I have come to appreciate recently. There are a lot of places that serve crappy tea. Maggie's is not one of them. The atmosphere is clean and innocent looking. Many lunchboxes on the wall of all different types. Much of the art looks like kids paintings but it all works. If your in the area, definitely worth stopping at for lunch. read more

Excellent locally owned restaurant in Fenton, Missouri. Incredible breakfasts. Omlettes feature a large choice of ingredients and the breakfast pastries are incredible. My only complaint is that the omelettes could be larger, but that has not stopped me from dining at this establishment or recommending it to others. Lunch items are also prepared freshly and are extremely tasty. The coffee is excellent. The owner told me that it's locally sourced from a company called Stars. I have not been to this restaurant for its new dinner menu but I'm looking forward to the experience. read more

The cuban panini combines roasted pork, ham, pickle and dijon mustard on french bread. Wow...it was good. The service is pretty quick and the staff is friendly.
