Ok so we were on a trip and wanted Pizza. We read the reviews and thought we would give it a try. We ordered it for pick up and arrived early. Got our food quick, hot and took it. The portions are normal. We grossly over ordered due to the other reviews stating the portions were small. The pizza's looked SO good, I went to grab a slice and the crust just separated and came off. The entire middle of the pizza's were soggy(too much sauce? Crust not crispy?) One pizza was just cheese so it was okay, hard for kids to eat. Our other pizza with 3 toppings was only edible with a fork. I'm not kidding at all, It was cheese slop with soggy crust. We also had a calzone, nothing too great and a salad. Salad was a normal portion and pretty average for a pizza place. We planned on saving the pizza for the following day but when we pulled it out of the fridge no one wanted it. We ordered Indian food(which was really good). The besides the reviews regarding the portions the rest seem to be true to form. Just know what to expect when ordering. I don't like to review places so poorly in Big Bear but with the tourism they might want to step up their game. Throw some flavor into the dough and put the appropriate amount of sauce and toppings. read more

Love this place. Eat here almost every time I am in Big Bear. (in the Vons shopping center) I have never tried the pizza. We saw this place was just around the corner from where we were staying so we thought we would try it out. I can't say much for the rest of the menu, but we thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, the staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean. I went in with really no expectations of anything great, just wanted some dinner. Just a stinking good pizza. If you are staying in Big Bear and want pizza come here. Very reasonably priced, a 16" pizza fed four of us. It was divided into 8 pieces so good size and we had some pizza left over. Big seating area so it can accommodate a large crowd. Decided to try their pizza since their sandwiches were so good in previous visits. I got house special with thin crust, definitely one of the best pizzas I have ever enjoyed. The crust was wafer thin, and crispy, and the topping were fresh with absolutely no grease. MOUSE TRAP in the bathroom!!!!! Wonder what was in the kitchen? Overpriced. Lots of butter on the bread and oil on the pizza. Meat, marinara and Alfredo sauce just ok. Nothing special. Plastic table cloths. Bistro chairs. Get your own utensils and napkins. No kids meals. They do a single slice of pizza for just under $3. This is a nice neighborhood pizza and pasta place. This is a good place for families. The salad we purchased (antipasta) was a medium listed for 2-3. My wife barely eats anything and she finished it. Maybe if your sharing the salad before a main course it works for two. read more

WOW. We were only in Big Bear for 3 days, but we ate all our meals out, mostly at high-end restaurants, and this was the best of all in my family's mind. It absolutely tasted the best, certainly better than the Peppercorn Grill, and the warm family-like atmosphere made you want to stay and hang around. Regrettably, I didn't eat all my lunch, leaving room for dinner at the Peppercorn. MISTAKE! Next time We're in Big Bear, we'll definitely stop by. read more

When I saw that this place was advertising what sounded like some amazing gluten free options, I called ahead to be sure it was also Celiac friendly. The staff person who answered said yes, so we drove 15 minutes and settled for pizza as a group to accommodate my dietary needs. When I got to the restaurant the staff said we had never spoken and that their gluten free options are all cooked together with the regular wheat and flour ingredients. I don't expect any restaurant to accommodate my needs, but the problem is the way the misunderstanding was handled by the rude staff. They were extremely rude and made me feel unwelcome in their restaurant. Not only will I never be back but I will also be sure to let people know about my discouraging experience. read more

Great pizza and amazing staff! They made a small mistake on our pizza order, caught the mistake before the pizza was given to us, and made us a new one before we were aware of what had happened. Then they boxed up the pizza with the one wrong topping and gave it to us for free. It's hard to find customer service like that nowadays..... We'll be back. read more

Tasty, inexpensive Italian food. Kinda cafeteria style. Staff is very Friendly. Tip: Order your food when you put your name down for the wait. We waited 20 min for a table and then they told us at our table that we order up front. If we knew that from the get go, our order would have been ready by the time we sat down. I'm giving this a 5-star even though they lost my phone in order. I placed my phone-in order on MLK Sat night 5 pm. They told me it would be 45 min to an hour. When I got there the place was slammed with people, standing room only. When they realized my order had been misplaced the manager stepped up, took responsibility and said my order would be moved up to the front and it would be no charge. I tipped them $20, not as much as the bill would have been but I appreciated their attitude and their effort. They were extremely helpful with my son's food allergies!! The pasta was good, definitely liked the marinara better than meat sauce but it was a tad too sweet for my taste. Their homemade Italian sausage is excellent, but they neglected to mention it was spicy even though they knew it was for my toddler, but no buggy, just would've been nice to know. Poor food quality has kept me up all night. Ate here yesterday at 2 pm. It's now 3:30am and still unable to sleep due to stomach pain thanks to the food. Since I'm awake, staring at the walls, might as well write this review. Had the spaghgetti and meatballs. It comes with buttered bread, which was the only good part of the meal. The sauce taste like cheap store bought spahgetti sauce from jar. The spahgetti noodles were ok. The meatballs taste exactly like the frozen bag kind. I am a semi-local, as I live in OC and own a place here in Big Bear. This is the best pizza I can find anywhere in SoCal. Their other Italian dishes are solid too. I have probably eaten here 40-50 times and I have never been disappointed. The only drawback is the weak wine selection but that can be remedied by bringing your own bottle--watch out for their steep corkage fee of $3.
