This is the best gluten free pizza I have had so far. I've tried several over the past year or so since I've had to cut gluten out of my diet. A thinner crust for sure, but the great thing is that it's not soft and soggy like most gluten free crusts I have tried. The only other crust that is even close is the cauliflower pizza crust at CPK's (which is bomb also). If you didn't know it was gf, you wouldn't know it was gf. Thanks Maggios!!!! read more

We usually enjoy coming to this restaurant as we are locals and enjoyed the food, but lately making a request for our food order goes unheard even though they wrote it down and the cook should be looking at the order ticket it's not being done we returned the dish to them they argued about what we ordered and brought it right back out the same. 2nd visit ordered something different to avoid the issue it was the baked salmon. It was dry and was not seasoned we it was supposed to come with grilled peppers and mushrooms they were absent and the side of pasta was not what I ordered either. I hope that Maggios. Will begin to take pride in their food again and take the time to make sure the orders are right. read more

Wow were we disappointed! Our family friends told us they'd heard great things about this place so we all went to check it- a whole party of 6 equally blown away by this experience. Service was terrible! The staff were very rude and made the experience a lot worse. The way the young team members were speaking to a whole party of adults was outrageous! One of our friends is sensitive to gluten and so he was looking forward to gluten-free pizza and pasta, unfortunately the gluten free pasta had pieces of regular gluten-containing spaghetti! And he described his gluten free pizza as disappointing at best. The entire working staff didn't seem bothered by any of his complaints, they only continued being extremely rude and impatient. All of our regular food was underwhelming as well. Overall terrible experience and would not recommend for anyone with gluten sensitivities to get anywhere near this place. Regardless, for all of the people reading this who can eat gluten, there are much better restaurants in Big Bear. read more

Absolutely love this place. They are friendly and quick everytime I order food here. During the holidays they are super busy and even then I will gladly wait for my food because it's totally worth it. Love there Pastrami sandwiches and lobster ravioli. A must try place ;-) read more

Very strange system they have, they seat you and then ask that you walk up to the register to place your order. Then you come back to the counter to pick up your order when your buzzer goes off. We have 4 people in our group and all of us were in agreement that the food was about as bad as Italian food can get. Not sure why all the restaurants in big bear are so bad but your best bet is to go to Denny's and stay clear of this place. read more

This restaurant was recommended to us by two local residents working in one of the stores in the village. My wife and I went with our adult daughter and her husband. We all love eating out and have, we think, excellent taste. This place is awful! First of all you have to stand in line and kind of stand your ground so that no one buts in front of you just to order at the front counter. You are then assigned a table. We ordered the baked mostaccioli which was inedible, the butternut squash ravioli which was smothered in a tasteless watered down marinara sauce, the fusilli pasta with meatballs and meat sauce which was very bland, maniccoti and a flat bread pizza with olive oil and cheese which came out like a burnt cracker that broke apart in pieces. The only dish that tasted decent was the maniccoti that my wife and daughter split. They said it was OK and finished it. Our overall impression is that this is the McDonalds of the italian fast food restaurants. It was packed with families on the weekend and is a very popular place but we will never go back. read more

We ate here during a short stay in Big Bear. We were looking for a restaurant that served anything GLUTEN FREE since a member in our party has celiac disease and is very sensitive. Worst Meat Lasagna I have ever had....was like cardboard with 2 week old cheese. My wife's Spaghetti looked and tasted like it had been cooked 2 days prior then put under a heat lamp to warm. This is probably why they make you order and pay before you seat. read more

My family and I were hungry after a bike ride and stumbled upon this place in the Von's shopping center. We were welcomed by a very friendly woman who allowed us to choose where to sit for our party of 12. The menu had very good selection and was very well priced! We ordered a couple pizzas, salads, and sandwiches! Every bite was delicious. The pizzas were thinly crusted and had so many goodies on them. My family and I would highly recommend the Mediterranean and the BBQ chicken pizza, along with the hardy meatball and Philly steak sandwiches. However, we were more impressed with the service. They treated us like family and were very very welcoming and helpful. We all agreed that this is our new favorite Italian restaurant to dine at every time we visit Big Bear! I'm a local and I've been here before. Usually it's a place I recommend but not anymore. The service was absolutely awful. There were about 4 staff members walking around, getting paid to do nothing. I waited in line for a super long time just to order and two people cut in front of me but the staff didn't care. I ordered a medium pizza with one topping and a basket of fries. They charged me wrong (had my sister not noticed, I wouldn't have gotten my money back). They asked if I wanted my fries first, to which I said yes. The pizza took about 30 minutes (which tells me they make it fresh! So yay, one point for Maggios). But the fries didn't come until I was done eating my pizza. They were well over fried... dripping in grease and dry. The pizza was just okay. So if you ask me, I think Village Pizza or Saucy Mama's are the better places to go. Cheaper, much nicer service and probably even better quality pizza tbh! read more

Walked into a small crowd to be gritted by a large grumpy woman with no smile. Ordered a pizza that looked like a sandy beach that the tide didn't quiet cover all the sand. Waited for 35 minuets then arrived the unsightly pizza with all the olives in all of they're oil in a pile in the center of the pizza, and then waited longer for plates and silver ware. My family and I arrived at the restaurant at exactly 8:30 PM. We were turned away by the manager because they were about to close.... The restaurant does not close until 9:00 PM. We loved that the pizza had a crispness to the bottom of it. We also ordered the garlic bread... it was more of a bread with Parmesan cheese on top of it but the dough was so unbelievably fresh and soft that we didn't miss the garlic. Would definitely come here again. read more
