I probably don't need to add yet another five star review for how great this Kevin and Caruso Magique show is. Friends suggested we see it, and thinking it was just another illusion show, we were blown away by the scale and quality of the performance - not just "magic", but beautiful dancers in amazing costumes. Kevin Jeffrey is the host of the show and has the perfect look and voice for the part. (He reminded us of actor/comedian Jeff Daniels.) Lord Caruso plays his silent stunt partner (like "Teller" of "Penn and Teller") and is the creative genius of the elaborate costumes. You would never expect such an amazing performance at an intimate theater next to a supermarket in a little strip mall. In my opinion it outperforms most of the shows at Reno's large casinos!

The jewel in the crown of Reno performing arts is The Theatre! Home to Kevin & Caruso's Magique and so much more. We went to see the candlelight event, and even tho it really wasn't our jam, we were struck by how impressive The Theatre is. The history of this space is so unique and fun to those of us who've always called Reno home and have seen shows here (ahem, Rocky Horror waaaayyy back when!!) From greeting to the ticket window, concessions to the ushers, its a lovely, intimate place for shows like the candlelight series and surely, Magique slays here! The decor in the lobby offers a glimpse of the glamour of the show. If you have a chance to see something here, go! Feel decades of performing arts history surge through you and take in the talents of Kevin & Caruso!

Amazing experience for my friend and I. All the performers were so kinda and so so fun to watch. Definitely worth going to if you want to have some fun. A performer even came up on our booth area which was very exciting!! For "food" they have popcorn and a mini bar inside a side room! The ambiance was really nice, seats comfy, perfectly arranged for everyone to see.

Black box theatre in a strip wall exceeded my expectations! We saw Magnifique on a Saturday evening. The illusionists, dancers, costumes, music and show were entertaining and high caliber! Not really a bad seat in the theatre. The show is two 45-min halves with a brief intermission. Drinks and snacks served. They make it fun!

Pro's: No bad seats in this intimate and fun venue. Con's: I found their website did not list ALL upcoming shows...just their long-running Magique show. I would like to see everything that is coming. Go back? Absolutely More... I love this venue so much, I am likely to buy a ticket to the Magique show...and I do not typically enjoy magic shows. This is the second time I have been here and I will go to ANYTHING interesting that is going on there. They have a nice bar and some snacks, too.

Fantastic illusion show. It was much more than I expected. The seating is great and no matter where you sit is a great spot. The show was 2 hours long and they keep you entertained the whole time. The people who check you in and help you find your seats are very smiley and helpful. It did get a little warm in there about halfway through but overall comfortable. They do have snacks and drinks available for purchase.

Won tickets for the Magique show and took friends to check it out. Lots of free parking since it's in the shopping center with the Savemart. We arrived before the box office opened at 7 pm and there was already a dozen ppl in line. The entrance looked like a hole in the wall place but once you enter it has a classy feel to it. All of the staff from checking in at the box office, concession stand, and ushers were awesome. They were super helpful getting into the lobby and keeping the crowd organized while lining up. And right before they opened the doors for seating, Ethan, one of the ushers, went through the line to let everyone know how things would work. Appreciated the courtesy and communication! It's a small performance stage but comfy seating, just a little narrow for walking through the rows and aisles. The show was amazing and very entertaining with humor, beautiful and bright costumes, and choreography to great music. Our families took the kids 8-10 years old and they enjoyed the show. Definitely would go again and tell my friends about this fun show!

A must see! The location is in a strip like mall and the ambiance was intimate. It's pretty small so there aren't any bad seats. We actually really like the small setting. Entertainment is on par with Vegas...and I think even better. I've seen quite a few Vegas shows. They do have a little pop up drink and snack area.

I am not sure any one of us were prepared for what we all witnessed last night in this intimate theater in a shopping center. Do not be fooled!! This was an absolutely mind blowing highly technical show of incredibly talented Illusionist , Dancers and Costume Designers . Kevin and Caruso take there exact show that they have performed for thousands in Venues, Casinos and Cruise ships around the world and bring it to an intimate theater .. NO SHORT Cuts. We had an unbelievable time being teleported into their magical vision . Family friendly but anything but a kids show . This is the real deal . Do not miss the opportunity to have your mind blown for a fraction of what it would cost to see it in a 2000+ person theater. read more

The show was sold out when I went to buy tickets. I emailed them in case they had a cancellation. Luckily for us they did. It was an amazing show that was every bit as good as the last magic show I saw in Vegas. I'm so happy they returned to Reno and started doing magic again. read more

I just went to se the Magique show, at The Theater in Reno this Saturday, with my husband and 5 of my close friends. We all loved every second of it. The magic was top notch, and the dancers were gorgeous!! I highly recommend going to see this show. We are going to take some other friends in a few weeks. read more

Great time. First time at a magic show, and although I really tried to see how they did it, every illusion was seamless. The costumes were great as well. Surprised to find any sort of live entertainment in a strip mall, and even more surprised it was worth the ticket price. Recommend going to this show before they head off somewhere else. read more

Small venue about 200 max. Clean and comfortable seating. We had front row seats and it was perfect. They have snacks and drinks for sell but we were able to bring our own in. The performance and choreography was great. Packed full of entertainment, I was wowed and shocked over and over. read more

This show was so fun!!! The costumes were gorgeous, the dancers were beautiful, and the magician was clever!! I would definitely recommend for all ages! We sat in the black box and has great service and VIP treatment. Our seats came with 4 item tickets, and since we were kid free, we opted for alcoholic beverages ;) It was a fun date night experience for us. read more

Must see show when in Reno NV, We optioned for the VIP package which was well worth the price and includes plenty of drinks! The show began at 8:00 PM and was sold out, and ended around 10:30 then because we had the VIP deal we met with the performers and took the back stage tour! The staff did a terrific job keeping things organized and could not have been nicer. They answered all of my questions before and after the show. When asked "what is the craziest thing you have seen here recently" our host told me occasionally we get an intoxicated guest and rather then exclude them we incorporate them into the act! What a great answer. These are truly amazing performers doing what they love and do best! Our host has been at this for 20 years and it shows. Best date night out in a very long time, one last thing there is an intermission with in out allowed, so no worries you're not going to miss a thing. Kudos to Kevin, Lord Caruso, showgirls and all the staff... you really made our night enjoyable as we are planning to see this show again! read more

We headed out of town to Reno for a long weekend and were looking for fun things to do. A quick Google search turned up the Magique show. We checked out a video on YouTube and decided to buy tickets. Upon arrival at The Theatre we were a little skeptical - it's smack dab between a Save Mart supermarket and a Port of Subs. This wasn't exactly the glitzy venue we had in our minds. But looks can deceive. Once inside The Theatre we forgot we were in the middle of a strip mall. Fast forward to the show and it was absolutely spectacular. Kevin was a fun host and the illusions he, Lord Caruso and the cast performed were entertaining. But I'm honestly not sure what I enjoyed more, the illusions or the dancing. We had a great time, either way. The costumes were gorgeous, the dancing mesmerizing, and the illusions entertaining. Highly recommend! read more

I want to share what a fantastic time my 12 year old daughter and I had last night at "Magique". Having recently moved to the area from LA I was looking for local theater experience that I could enjoy and support on a regular basis and boy did they deliver! Let's start with the music. The soundtrack for the show was very dynamic and captured perfectly the essence of "Magique. Truth be told, I was actually "Shazaming" the music a good portion of the show while pretending to take pictures as it was THAT good. And then there were the fabulous and extravagant costumes that wouldn't look out of place at the biggest of Vegas shows, all hand-made by Lord Caruso himself. Kevin, the ring leader, kept the show moving with his larger than life personality and incredible illusions. You can tell these guys really love what they do and that really shines through. And last but DEFINITELY not least were the beautiful showgirls who added a unique and tasteful sexiness to the whole production. So whether you're a local or visiting from out of town, go by and check out Kevin and Caruso's "Magique". And spring for the VIP tickets if you can. You'll be in for a highly entertaining evening of art, magic and performance. Something Reno and all of us really need at the moment. read more

Pleased to have found this hidden gem of a performance! My roommates and I took a quick weekend trip to Reno (from Sacramento) this past week, and we're looking for something to do on a Saturday night. Tickets were reasonably priced for the performance we got to experience. The illusions had my full attention, as well as well as the dancers! Loved the music/soundtrack that was a part of each act as well. Would definitely see the show again if given the opportunity! read more

Hell yeah love GSR. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained…read more The food at all the restaurants we ate at was delicious. Staff are all very friendly. Pool is nice, needed a cleaning after the hella windy day blew debris in it nonstop. Life guards were attentive. Spa level had the kids arcade, bowling alley, shops and white rabbit theatre. So much to do. Housekeeping was very short staffed, our room wasn't able to be cleaned daily, needed to call for towels etc. Valet is busy as hell too. Takes 10-15 minutes to drop your car and 20-30 to get it back.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but after two disappointing experiences, I feel compelled to share…read moreours. Last year, Grand Sierra overbooked our reservation and was unable to honor it. To their credit, they arranged accommodations at another hotel, although it was not comparable to the one we had reserved. Wanting to give them another opportunity, we booked another stay this year. Unfortunately, the experience was even more disappointing. Our check-in was delayed until 5:00 p.m. because the room was not ready, despite the advertised 4:00 p.m. check-in time. Once we entered the room, we discovered the air conditioning was not functioning properly and the desk lamp was broken. We called for assistance at approximately 5:30 p.m. and again at 8:30 p.m. after no one responded. Someone finally arrived around 11:00 p.m., after we had already gone to bed. The lamp was replaced, but the air conditioning was never addressed during that visit. The following morning, we discovered the bathroom floor was soaked due to a leaking toilet. Maintenance confirmed the issue, placed towels on the floor, and returned later to repair it. During that visit, they were also able to fix the air conditioning. Later that morning, we found that one of the mugs in our room had not been properly cleaned. While this would normally be a minor issue, it became part of a pattern of poor housekeeping and maintenance. When we returned to our room that evening, we found another leak--this time water was coming from the ceiling. To make matters worse, my friend discovered blood stains on her comforter that had been concealed beneath the sheet. When we reported these issues to the front desk, there appeared to be no record of our previous maintenance requests or completed service calls, which was extremely concerning. A manager later offered us a $100 dining credit. While I appreciate the acknowledgment, I do not believe it adequately reflected the extent of the problems we encountered throughout our stay. Grand Sierra positions itself as one of Reno's premier hotels, and with that reputation comes an expectation of quality, cleanliness, and responsive service. Unfortunately, our experience fell well below those expectations. I hope management takes these concerns seriously because guests should not experience repeated maintenance failures, cleanliness issues, and communication breakdowns during what is supposed to be a relaxing stay.

The play was truly a great experience for women and it reminded me of Menopause the Musical they have played 8 shows with the last one tomorrow night! I almost want to go see it again, but because it will be no more. Almost, Maine…read more Running the first two weekends of August 2024. A play based in a small town called Almost. It's several romantic events that all are actually happening at the same time. The cast of six mixed and matched, playing all the characters needed. In the one and a half hours, you went through several emotions with the characters- sadness, heartbreak, love, realization, and happiness. The minimalist set allowed the audience to focus more on the actors to tell each short story. This wasn't my first experience at RAT, I have seen a handful of productions here. It's a great small theater with individual tiered seats. A very enthusiastic staff. And easy parking. Still time to catch this show.

I saw that they were advertising this show...and I like a good magic show. It did not disappoint. The sleight of hand and on-stage demonstrations were incredible. I was still banging my head of how they did it or maybe it was the cocktail at the bar that was playing tricks on my mind. As a guest of the hotel, I had a 20% coupon and promptly used it at the ticket office, though I think I should have picked my seat better. Nonetheless, I was in the second row and I was able to get a good look of the magic up close. If you arrive early, you can hang out for Happy Hour, they had some unique drinks including the local standby beers and cocktails...and mocktails for those attending the all-ages show. I recommend seeing this show on a Friday or Saturday night if you want a bit more rambunctious, racy show.

After happy hour ended a bud light and high noon was $18. I can't believe they turned the old movie theater into a magic show theater. I sat there thinking about all the movies I saw at the Hotel and the first time I had a drink in a movie theater so long ago, 1989. It was fun in the bar prior to the doors opening they have a magical experience for adults and kids to set the mood for the evening. Tracy the bartender was awesome! She also works at Blitz during the day. She has the kindest soul and such a people person! It was like I had known her for years. They have a box office where you can purchase tickets. Very hard to hear the gal! They definitely need a microphone to speak to each other. If you think you're going to save a few extra dollars on those service fees - you may have to think twice, just purchase on line. It's much easier. Also, they have a snack bar with fresh popped popcorn $9 -$13 and huge pretzels $14. Chase Hasty and his wife have traveled around the world to over 25 countries sharing their magical talent and ballet dancing skills. My favorite part of the show was when Chase brought out a locked box and Hoisted the box with a rope up to the ceiling and told this guy to watch the box. Later in the show they opened the box, it was a pretty impressive trick!!! One not to be forgotten!! It's a small production but well thought out with couple extra dancers and costumes changes. I love that Chase, picks people out of the audience to help with the show. Maddox was a return kid that had been practicing his magic and Chase let him perform in front of the audience and what is that called "That's Magic!!!" It's nice the performers will met you afterwards in the hallway to have pictures and ask questions. It's a great family night or you can come to the later show at 9pm for a little more risky nocturnal show. I'll have to save that one for another time!

I have been taking classes at the Reno Improv for about 8 months now, and WOW. What a life changing…read moreexperience. Through the Reno Improv, I found friendship, fun, comedy, and courage. Back in August 2025 I lost my job, and was feeling pretty down on myself. My wonderful wife Savannah said I should look into the Reno Improv. I always have been a fan of improv. I have been a fan of shows like Whose Line is it anyway, Saturday Night Live, and Comedy Bang Bang, and always wondered what it would be like to try it myself. So I took the leap and signed up for Improv level 1 class with Amelia Giles. What an amazing teacher she is, and wonderful human being. Through this class I was able to have fun, learn how to improvise, and support my fellow improvisors! After that I took level 2 with Tim Mahoney, and level 3 with Jason! Both great teachers and great people. I am really enjoying being a part of this little theater. And it has given me an insane amount of confidence. Also I get to participate in shows all month long! I now am in Musical Improv and it just keeps getting better and better. Great spot. I love Reno Improv.

I was told we could only use them Sunday thru Thursday. Kind of peculiar that they are limited.

As I went back to the front to explain what had happened , the lady up front even tried to reason with Amanda to open up one of the showers but instead of being any kind of decent, rational individual she started to explain her side of the story which was all switched up and not the truth at all. I unfortunately didn't get the lady working as the cashier in the store that was very polite and tried to help me out with my situation but Thank You I used to love coming to Alamo/Petro especially when I needed to pay for a shower very very sad as I will never be coming back again for anything & I don't recommend it to others due to how I was treated also Its very unprofessional that it's not mandatory for their employees to be wearing their name tags on shift !

I had an absolute blast while there, the production value is incredible the lights, sound, pyrotechnics where so beautiful and don't get me started on the costuming one of the insanely talented magicians is also the costume designer and you can tell he puts his whole heart into these art pieces, these artists have worked incredibly hard on this show and it absolutely shows. In all my years of living in reno I have yet to see such a magnificent show and I'm so excited to share this with more friends of mine- if you're looking for a fun night definitely go see Magique these magicians and dancers are incredibly talented and deserve all the love!!! Just an incredible experience from. Start to finish. We went for our anniversary with friends and didn't know what to expect. The moment we walked into the theatre we were impressed by the decor. The atmosphere the setting were all incredible. Upon entering the theatre we were impressed with the intimate setting and everything g about the venue. The music, the dancing the magic and the performance of everyone involved all were top notch. Everything about this show was over the top and worth it. I was beyond surprised at how great this show was. I went in with no expectations and left with the best experience. The costumes themselves, to begin with, were a spectacle. The dancing was interactive and so fun! We went for a work party and it was a perfect place! Bathrooms were clean, snacks were great. Usually the magicians are kind of weird, but I was actually pleasantly surprised he had such a great sense of humor and had a fantastically planned out show, that definitely did leave you on your toes. Absolutely the best! I was looking for a Las Vegas style show to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday but couldn't find any in South Lake Tahoe or in Reno. My daughter and I found this magic show so we booked it for 8 of us and kinda planned on being mildly entertained. OH BOY did we luck out! The magic, the illusions, the comedic moments and the music were drenching us in real entertainment. Every part of the show was professional and timing was perfect.
