I ordered the veggie curry lunch special which contains thick lentil soup, salad with ranch, appetizer, rice and NAN bread. The soup and NAN bread were amazing! I was left disappointed as the veggie special was more of a potato special with two pieces of broccoli. The portion size was great for the cost ($9.99). There was no wait even thought it was lunch time and the food arrived quick. The tables were clean, but I did notice that there was no disinfecting the area after customers left. It was just a wipe down of the table with a rag, nothing for the seats. One server did not wear a mask as they were attending customers while the other did. The employees in the kitchen area also did not wear masks. This currently is against city mask mandates which is why I am making note. Overall rating: Food: 4/5 Wished there was more variety with the veggies but the soup and bread were amazing. Cleanliness: 3/5 With the virus going around it would be reassuring to see better measures taken. read more

It's unfortunate I have to give this location such a low review but here's why: * The waitress let us know our garlic naan was delivered to another table but was still going to charge us (it was included in the total) until I pointed out that we shouldn't have to pay for something we didn't receive. She mentioned though she delivered it to the wrong guest she "didn't charge them soooooooo," and that's when I let her know I'm not paying for it, after which she removed it from our bill. * We asked for medium spice on the food and it came out extremely bland. * When we asked why the dosa wasn't crispy, our waitress let us know the stove was not on all the way but they had to make the food. In addition to that, if we wanted a crispy dosa we were to let them know. Never had a had a soggy dosa shaped like a cylinder . Those are the crispy ones and the ones shaped like a triangle are the soft ones as they are folded. My boyfriend and I were waiting for our car to finish getting an oil change at the Walmart across the street and I stumbled upon this place on Yelp. No regrets! When we got there it wasn't super busy so we were seated immediately. I never know what to order, but I saw a review saying to order your meal Thali Style... so I did just that! My boyfriend and I ended splitting their Chicken Tikka Masala Thali Style with some Garlic Naan and it was absolutely delicious. At first I was weary with the small serving of Chicken Tikka Masala, but it was definitely filling with all of the extra items they added. Everything tasted amazing and I truly enjoyed the entire meal from start to finish. After we finished our meal we were given some dessert, which was Kulfi! Again, absolutely yummy! This was the first time I have had Kulfi and it was so good. Very creamy, milky, and rich! We didn't get to pick our dessert, so I believe it was already preselected for the day. when my friends and i walked in to pick up our order, the person at the front desk had their mask under their chin talking on the phone taking another order. it made me feel kind of uncomfortable and iffy about the covid sanitation measures this place was taking. despite having ordered ahead of time, we were standing inside waiting for about 15 mins. we ordered a chicken tikka masala with garlic naan, saag paneer with garlic naan, raita, and samosas. i thought that this would for sure be enough food to satisfy 3 people, but the quantity we received for $40 worth of food was so so small. we were so disappointed by the portion size and were all left feeling unsatisfied at the end of our meal. it really is such a shame bc the food was good!!!!! the samosas were really unique and tangy and flavorful and the curries we tried were tasty as well. i understand that it's hard for small businesses right now during the pandemic, and i hesitated to write this at all, but i also felt scammed by the price in relation to the quantity. i would come back if the portions were not so small :~( read more

Went here for the first time with my sister for dinner last night. The place is clean and airy so you don't smell like Indian food when you leave, definitely an A+ for that. So they have your typical Indian food and come in two different dinner choices. They have the "thali" which is a full course dinner, comes with 1 entree, 3 small soups, rice, naan, yogurt salad, and dessert of the day. The 'a la carte' (honestly I don't even think it's called that) comes with 1 entree and your choice of rice or naan. This place is family owned so different people were serving us. There are no refills on the ice tea (which I thought was weird), only on the soda. The mango lassi is pretty good, but way too sweet for me. For appetizer we ordered the vegetable samosas. They are really good. I like the fact they put it in a pastry dough that is made there and not a puff or philo dough like most places. The samaosa isn't strong with spices like 'Curry in a hurry' in Redlands, so some may like this place better since the spices aren't so strong. The sister ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. The soup base for this is excellent. Very good, but the chicken was white chicken breast so it seemed a bit dry and didn't match well with the broth. I ordered the Aloo -something- -- it's exactly like the Saag Paneer but with potatoes instead of cheese blocks. This dish has spinach, potatoes, onions, tomatoes, and spices. This was a bit salty for me, so for me I didn't like it too much. The soups that came with the dinners were lentil soups. There was one sour/spicy soup (it was tomato based) I didn't like. The other two were ok but not my cup of tea. The yogurt salad that came with the meal was good though. It was strangely good. lol. Naan is naan, garlic or not. You really can't mess up naan. It came out fresh and had spring onions on it. Wasn't too thick like Gul Naz down the street, but wasn't too thin either. Good naan. Probably something you want to order separately since you get 2 pieces for each person. The food they give you is enough to fill you up even if you think "that's it?" All the meals that come with rice is just regular Jasmine rice. If you want the Bastami rice you need to order it separately. I found this odd because every other Indian place I've been too has only been Bastami rice. The dessert of the day was a homemade ice cream with (condensed) milk, pistachios, and cardamon. I'm sure there was other stuff, but this is what the guy told me. This dessert was oddly good too, but they should warn people before they give it to them, because some people maybe allergic to nuts (as you may not see them) and/or lactose intolerant. I actually ate my all and was in the toilet for a while T_T No bueno. It was good, but no bueno on the stomach. From what I could taste they used 2 milks, reg and condensed, and I dislike condensed because of the sweetness. It's like a pure sugar cane in there. The bathrooms were nice and clean. Decorated so no quams there. Service wise, they attended to us throughout dinner service, it wasn't until we were done and ready to leave is when they fell off the face of the earth. Not sure what it is with places that give you good/great service the entire time, until you are ready to get the bill. I would definitely come back here, but I would try other foods. read more

My family and I have been eating here for a long time and recently, the quality has really gone down. 1. The chicken in the curry isn't fresh. It feels mealy, like it's been sitting for a while. 2. The takeout portions are SMALL. They started putting the lunch specials into one box and the curry is now a side dish! The curry portion is literally the exact same size as the side dishes. I came here 3ish years ago and I would have given it a 3 star review. Then we have ordered Punjabi dishes and it was decent/edible. Today it was not the case. Today I had the worst experience. I wouldn't even return if they offered me a free meal. We first got appetizers (chilli chicken and veggie pakoras) and they were clearly cooked in bad/old oil. Chilli chicken was cold, too salty, and just had this nasty after-taste to it. I was hoping to move past the apps and trust that the dosas would be good. But no, they also had a bad after-taste. And they were cold. Our table ordered a total of 4 dosas and all of them were whack. Rava masala dosas are usually served with this crispyness to them. Mine was cold and had such poor taste. I would have been better off making it at home with the GITS mix. Save your time and money and go to Delhi Palace a few miles away for 1000x better quality experience for Punjabi indian food. My wife and I came here one evening since the Yelp reviews here looked pretty good. This review is solely based on my dinner experience here. We were greeted by this young man upon walking in and we sat fairly close to the Cashier desk. It looks like a family owned business and there was an old lady that was just sitting behind the cashier desk the whole time probably doing paperwork or whatnot that I really didn't pay too much attention to. There wasn't a lot of people at the time and after looking at the menu, we decided to go with the royale feast ~$20 which had a bit of everything (tandoori, chicken tikka and small chunks of lamb/beef), garlic naan and the samosa appetizer. My wife also tried one of their mango lassi drinks which wasn't bad, but a little strong on the yogurt in my opinion. First, the samosas came out which actually tasted crispy and was really good with the sauces they provide as it has just the right blend of stuffing and outer crispy layer. The meal came out on this hot skewer type plate and it was good enough to feed both my wife and I as we actually couldn't quite finish it. The garlic naan wasn't bad as well, very soft and golden with a nice blend of garlic. I expected the chicken tikka to be more creamy but maybe it's because it's not a curry or that's how their version was for the royale feast. My wife and I think we should have ordered 2-3 servings of the samosas instead of the meal we couldn't finish lol and the service wasn't too great tbh I'll have to come back here for lunch which I feel might be a better option to try out their lunch specials and update my review later if I get the chance. read more

I am so happy this place is within 5 minutes of where we live!!!! We did order to-go and was maybe about a 15-20 minute wait. The restaurant itself seemed clean but we were simply waiting at the front for our food. The woman who took our order was wearing a mask however there was a male who set the food at a table for other guests and we never saw him wearing a mask. We both got the chicken Tikka Masala with rice, garlic naan and two desserts for 41 dollars, worth every cent, portion was excellent. I've always been a little intimidated by Indian food because of a bad experience when I was a kid but this place has me rejuvenated in trying new foods, especially from this restaurant. The depth of flavor was just so sublime, I completely cleaned my plate and to be honest haven't stopped thinking about it since we first had it. The lunch specials come on a platter that includes a hefty portion of rice, half of a whole naan bread, the curry of your choice, salad, and lentils. It's great to have so many different flavors, never allowing the meal to get boring. Specifically for the goat curry, I thought it just burst with flavor! Spices, aromas, everything you'd want from fine Indian cuisine. The naan also complemented the curry fantastically. Moreover, the additional side dishes were pretty good as well, but the real star was the curry. As for how spicy it is, they give you a scale to choose from--something on the lines of mild, medium, spicy, and Indian spicy. I got medium and you'll definitely feel the spice, but it was a perfect level that really elevated the curry. Regarding the lunch specials, even though they're at really great price points, they're limited to only four options which is a little disappointing. Hoping they expand this menu in the future.
