Obviously a place for locals and enjoyed the people watching. The food, THE FOOD, however, blew us away. Fresh whole fish on display in ice, live lobsters crawling around the display, and the largest head-on shrimp I have ever eaten that I personally picked out to have cooked, along with a whole perfectly seasoned red snapper, and melt-in-your mouth eggplant with tomato. Plus some very large and juicy clams in a garlic butter sauce that you want to scoop up with a spoon! This place will forever be in my dreams and I cannot wait to go back as it will be a focal point for my next visit. Thank you! Oh, and very reasonably priced too!

Despite that, our drinks took ~20 minutes, the appetizers took 30+ minutes, and our entrees 30+ minutes after that. The Mint Lemonade was so small and tasted artificial. For ~$9, I expect more. The only appetizers worth trying are the Hummus Baba Ganouj, and Falafel. Everything else sadly missed the mark. The Fatoush & Tabouleh were promising but pretty sad. It lacked dressing (lemon and olive oil), flavor, and there were way too many unnecessary lettuce leaves on or around the bowl. I did enjoy the Zikrayat Mix Grill. The meats were tender, well-seasoned, and juicy, the rice was light and fragrant, and it was filling. I found the appetizers to be overpriced and along with the extremely slow service, I didn't leave feeling like it was worth it. I don't think I'll be back.

This place used to be really good and reasonably priced when the owner used to be there. Ever since he's left, the business has seriously turned downhill. His employees are literally garbage. They have such a rude attitude and no regard for customer satisfaction. One time I asked the employee for a extra fork, and he acted like I stole his wallet. After arguing with him for two minutes over a fork, he then proceeds to hand me the fork with his bare hands. Dude, where's your freaking gloves? I've been coming to this place ever since they opened but stopped visiting as much when the owner stopped coming. But now I've had enough. On top of that, they give you small plates and charge you $10 each. They have the audacity to throw in yesterday's leftovers into your food. Not to mention the food is pretty bland and the sauce is literal garbage. Dude had a problem giving me a extra fork, what else can you expect? What they call "lamb over rice" is legit 10% meat and 90% fillers. They'll throw in the weirdest things into this platter. Fries and eggplant? Are you that desperate to save every penny? read more

My favorite corner spot for years. I recall leaving to Florida and they're working out of a hot dog stand. I return two years ago and they have a nice clean food truck. Really proud of my boy Mahmoud for his hard work and dedication he's able to take care of his family and his great respectful crew. I usually like to watch my food being cooked if it's take out but I trust them and enjoy their service that if I'm a little hungrier then normal I'll call for a pick up. Very responsive and dedicated to good service. Recommend any of their dishes all cooked with care and devotion. read more

This is the best halal food I've ever eaten. In my life. I swear!!! Honestly, they are better then Halal guys too. I had the combo (chicken and lamb) and it was amazing. Their food has actual flavor, and it tastes amazing. Not to mention that they add eggplant and fries for free. They are genuine people who are also extremely kind and care about their customers. This is Greatest HALAL Cart place better then some of Restaurants in the city. Crew very friendly and they cooking fast and fresh and taste so much juicy then other halal cart. I love lamb and chicken kebab over yellow rice, they're adding salads on top and adding some delicious white souse and hot souse and they're add fries too. When you put everything into the pita and eat it, it's mixes well and I devoured my portion very quickly. I really did enjoy the food here.

Anyway Alam's halal' kart is such a great food kart to get food as you know I reviewed so many halal joints its unbelievable. But theirs a reason I do it I can't get tired of the food and this place is another great example of great food I got my self a chicken over rice with ketchup and white sauce and am definitely going to go their again its cheap it's good the dude was respectful and my plate was 7 dollars for all of that. It's clean and location it's located is great due to fact that you could go get the food and sit down and look in to the pier the food was cooked perfectly and the food was hot. The only downside is yea you have to pay a dollar extra for the pita but it's only a dollar extra that's nothing for good food with a great price. I recommend anybody who is around the area go and check out Alam's halal kart you will not be disappointed. My favorite part of the meal was the rice cause it was balsamic rice and it taste amazing mixed with chicken white sauce and ketchup and the salad was fresh so go get some good food and enjoy the view.
