Combo #3 is the way to go! The chicken sandwiches are perfect size and great flavor! I chose the mild & it was just the right spice level, it was spicy but not sweating level spicy. My husband is more of a spice fanatic & he did medium & it was a good spice level for him. The sauces are homemade and delicious. The fries were a bit over seasoned, but not a deal breaker for me. Got take yesterday based on a friend's recommendation. Have driven past often, but thought they only had 'hot chicken'. We don't care for super spicy chicken. My friend assured me that was not the case. They have 5 spice levels - we tried Naked and Mild, both were good, if a little greasy. Don't miss the Cole slaw - one of the best I've ever had! I love Nashville Hot Chicken, and I was driving by this new shop and figured I'd see what they had going on. This is the best hot chicken I've had hands down! I get the tenders and they are a perfect size, not too big or little, but just right. I tried the hot and medium and both were awesome! Perfect spice and flavor. I liked it so much I had Main Chicks AGAIN the SAME WEEK! I asked for extra, extra pickles that time and they gave me a huge cup of pickles, which I don't usually get at other places when asking for extra. The only downside was that their fountain drink machine didn't have ice, but that is such a small thing and the store is still pretty new so there's bound to be some growing pains. Still 5 out of 5 and I'm sure they will only get better! read more

I'm giving this four stars because it's early yet and I'm sure they'll work out the bugs eventually. We ordered a medium spicy chicken sandwich and tender combo. The sandwich was a winner! Good spice level and tasty bun. The fries were okay, but coated with spices too. It would be nice to have a non spicy fry to balance the chicken, and to make it worse the soda machine wasn't working and there was no ice. So spicy chicken and fries, and a little cup of warm water wasn't ideal. I'm sure the ice issue will be resolved, but I think they should also consider a plain fry option. read more

Went with my chef friend and I'm also a professional. So this is a legit review haha. This is the best chicken both of have had for years. Basically it can't get better, ideal seasoning, heat, sweetness, crunch on outside and moist inside. No artificial or weird pre-made type chicken tricks. Took 15 mins because clearly they made the food to order and correct techniques unlike almost every other chicken joint and even a lot of nice restaurants. We will be coming back many times trust me, as North County has few great and consistent chicken places of any kind haha read more

I order lunch from their website, and when I came in to pick it up, the guy at the front told me that someone had already picked up my order. I explained to him that when I ordered it online I ordered it to be picked up not delivered. I even informed him that I never gave an address so there's no way someone could be delivering my food. After about 30min of back and forth in front of the whole restaurant. He had them remake my order. I'm like you're a restaurant in Carlsbad, you're really going to argue with me over a chicken sandwich? He made it seem like I was trying to get a free meal from them. The chicken was WAY over seasoned, and so were the fries. The mild was super spicy. The spicy was not even edible and I love spicy food! We could have gone on an off night.
