We attended a bowling party at the facility so can't comment on all the other things offered other than the bowling. We had a nice time bowling but I think the staff was a bit overwhelmed. Our balls kept getting stuck and sometimes it took awhile to find someone to get them out. To their credit, they gave the party extra time on the lanes to make up for the time we waited for maintenance. The food and drinks were good; reasonably priced; and the wait staff very nice. Things took a bit to get but like everywhere in Albuquerque, they are trying to hire more staff. If you like these kind of places with all the different activities, check it out! Ps. Went in for the first time tonight for a date night after dinner and we were not impressed. First off, no one was enforcing masks at all. A majority of the staff working the desk had them below their chins. That's been the normal around NM lately so it's not too shocking but worth a mention. The main problem is it seems almost every game we played had an issue. During buck hunter, one guns accuracy was so off that you had to shoot way above target- and that's the times it was working. The other gun didn't work at all. The kung Fu panda game had a pad that didn't respond at all. The skiball wouldn't accept our game card even though it had 200+ points (only game we had this problem). A majority of the basketballs were flat and/or had part of the gripped texture ripping off. If it had only been one game we had issues with then it wouldn't matter, but it seemed almost everything we tried had something wrong (except guitar hero- that worked great). We left without using all the points on the card because after 2 hours of disappointment after disappointment it seemed like a better idea to go to Dave&Busters. We didn't anything other than the arcade, but after this I don't really have high hopes. On the positive side, we had a bartender who was nice and efficient when we got 1 beer. read more

Ya know, I have mixed feelings about this place. I mean, it's cool in general for what it is....but man....the staff is soooo lackluster! Lots of flashing lights and noise, of course. This is a safe place tweens & teens could burn a few hours and have fun. We attended a birthday party for a friend, and were assigned a party coordinator who made sure we stayed within the time limit for bowling (there was a long wait on the bowling for those who didn't have a booked party), eating (pizza was subpar, but I guess it was better than a chuck e cheese or peter piper), and on to the lazer tag and video games. Overall, the experience was meh. The music was SO freakin' loud, with mostly pop tunes from the 90's. They seriously need to take it down a few notches on that volume. The staff is completely uninterested in really serving you, just a bunch of teens half heartedly doing their jobs and chatting it up with one another until they see that you've been standing there and then let out an inconvenienced sigh and a slight roll of the eyes as they say "do you need something?" There is a bar area, pool tables, shuffleboard, air hockey (my fav) and a bazillion tvs showing all the games which is great during March Madness. The ropes course was cool. The regular menu looked decent, especially the burger and fish n chips (at least it looked that way in the pictures on the menu LOL). We did sample the nachos and they were tasty. It is nice to have had the opportunity to grab an cocktail, but boo to the fact that there were no local beers offered. The video games are $1.50-$3.50 on average, so, be prepared to burn through some cash unless you take advantage of one of those pricing specials. read more

I'm giving this place two stars because I love the atmosphere and to bring my friends here. Unfortunately this place is the most mis managed place I've ever been into. Games are broken and The bar staff is so understaffed that you cannot get a drink and they are super busy the entire time. It's not their fault I can only blame it on management. I'm pretty sure I'm watching the manager walk around right now doing absolutely nothing but chewing on his gum and staring at people awkwardly. There's probably 75 people in the bar area and the pool tables with only two bartenders able to take orders and make drinks for all of them. I'm not sure how much they think they are saving by understaffing the place but it is not the best way to operate a successful business. Once again I think the employees are great but the management really need to step up their game. read more

We arrived before noon on a Tuesday and went straight to a table so that the kids could eat before playing. I chose a table by the bar so that we'd be highly visible and hopefully get faster service. This was not the case. They only had one person working and serving food which was the bartender. After 10 minutes, I had to flag someone down and ask for drinks. I think he was the manager and he told me that he'd get a server, I told him that we'd been sitting here for 10 minutes and we hadn't been greeted yet. Right off the bat, bad start to an unmemorable visit. I will say that Chelsee, the bartender was trying her best, but when you're by yourself, there's only so much you can do. Management should've moved people around or cross train people in the future. I would give this experience 1 star but the staff that were there were trying their hardest and made this visit a little better than what it could've been. read more

There are a lot better choices for going bowling, but for an impromptu get-together with a big group of friends for a moving party, we'd hoped this would be the best choice. We waited 30 minute for a bowling lane, even though I counted the empty lanes (11) and tried ordering drinks and food. We got water fairly quickly, but food and alcohol were the biggest issues. We arrived at 5 pm, ordered right away, it took until 5:45 to get some of the alcoholic drinks, the rest of the group had to wait and before we got nachos or our plates of food, our lane was ready. We closed out with our server to be polite and went to our lane. The service was a little better at the lane and the rest of people ordered there. Cashing out was an issue because many of the items listed were wrong or had multiple amounts or orders. It made no sense. It's pretty expensive. Overall, I think a more divey-lower class bowling alley would've met our needs for less money and the same quality of food/drinks. I prefer Ten Pins in Rio Rancho and they have almost as many options for food. read more

The full service bar or the dining area are great places to relax with free WIFI. The height limit for the gravity ropes is 48", the attendant will secure you well into a harness and joins the group on the ropes. Easily viewed and accessible from I-25, with plenty of parking available. This place is clean and the service staff appeared to be friendly and helpful. I will start by saying there are some things I haven't tried here: the laser tag and the high rope course. Food... yikes. This is your classic, captive audience dining. The dishes are not clean, with old food sticking to them when they are brought out. The food tastes like sysco reheat specials, and because it was a particularly busy Saturday, the service was just as bad. The only thing we enjoyed were the fries. We enjoyed the bowling. We have a young child, and the dino bowling ball slides were a HUGE hit for her. Balls were well organized, so it was easy to find the right weight. However, I really wish there weren't PG-13 music videos playing so loudly on such large screens literally everywhere. It was unnecessary. I imagine tweens, teens, and even college kids would love this place. But as a family, we found it to be over-hyped, under-staffed, and over-priced. I came here with a small group and was definitely not impressed. A group of seven shouldn't have to wait almost 45 minutes for a couple of lanes. I was surprised how busy it was on a Wednesday. They ended up squeezing us all into one lane, which made one bowling game for seven people last an hour. Actually, our time ran out on the last players last game and the damn computer shut us off. It is $7 for a beer, reasonable priced food. I do like paying on the computer screen. It speeds up the process so we don't need to wait on the waiter. Prepare for sensory overload immediately when waking in. Kids running around all over. Loud music, video games, music videos, etc. I had a headache writhing 15 minutes of being there. The management and staff at main event is extremely unprofessional. Went on a Sunday afternoon and ordered a beer and sat at the bar. A server came over and rudely told me I needed to move bc they needed the table for a reservation. I protested and a security guard escalated the situation. I was then grabbed and dragged out in a headlock to the entrance. Called the manager and he did not care. Never going again and will tell everyone I know about my experience. read more

Came here with my company for reaching office goals, Spent over $1000 on tickets and games for everyone then proceeded to purchase food and drinks, when ordering my drink the bartender looked at my iD and told me he wouldn't accept due to "company policy" mind you it is vertical however I am from California the iD was Valid and we spent so much money so I then asked to speak to a manager and if I can't enjoy my time here can I receive a full refund they said "No refunds cause you should know the rules", "you can call the GM tomorrow or just go buy a bottle and drink in the parking lot" That doesn't help my immediate situation and isn't this a business that makes money off it's bar why would you want a customer drinking in the parking lot. It's the third time we've tried to go, for my daughter's third birthday today, and have gotten awful customer service each time. This time we waited for over 20 minutes at the host station in a long line just to be finally told after going to the ticket station that they had no one manning the host table, they told us to go to the bar (with 4 kids) and the bartender said it would be a few minutes to get some tables together. Then he said it would be at least 20 minutes more waiting because other people seated themselves ahead of us. They didn't tell the other people to wait their turns or that they couldn't be seated. And he said there is only one server so we would be waiting a long time to get food (which is what happened the last 2 times we went). It's like they don't even care that they have customers or want to serve them. We left and will never be going back to try again. We don't recommend this place to anyone. Pizza looked big, but a a little greasy. Prices are a little more than I'd usually pay for the arcade portion, but the bowling is my favorite (even though the floors are a little slippery). It seems this place is busy no matter what day or time! We recently had a birthday party here & had a blast. This place is super loud & stimulating so just keep that in mind. My 6 month old slept through the noise with cotton in his ears though. We had my daughter's party on an early Saturday afternoon. There is so much to do here from laser tag to bowling & lots of arcade games. I would suggest making your bowling reservation a week in advance on busy days. We were lucky enough to get 6 lanes for all of us at the time we wanted. If you have a party they reserve the lanes for the kids in the party. Our party host was friendly & was helpful with the kids. She got them set up with their bowling shoes, helped with arcade games, got their drinks & food, & set them up with laser tag. I thought she did great. I didn't realize the tip was already included with my party bill so I tipped extra. The food was very average. The drinks were good. This was a good place for a party since it was so entertaining for both kids & adults. The adults were able to have some drinks & do their own thing while the kids were off doing their activities. Main Event is an ironic name for a place without a primary activity. Upon entering, you'll immediately notice that there's plenty to do. There are also a lot of people so be prepared to wait if you want to do something specific. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the wait for a bowling lane was four (4) hours. You could drive to the local bowling alley, play a few games, and come back in that time. You can always entertain yourself at the arcade while you wait but be prepared to pay a fair bit for each game. The average appeared to be about $1-$1.50 per play. You also have to get a card and there's a $1 charge for that card when you first get one. No refunds so put whatever you intend to spend on there and just recharge the card as needed. On the plus side, Main Event has more to offer than the local Dave and Busters. This place can be a good option if you're willing to spend a little extra money to enjoy the mix of a restaurant, bar, and youthful leisure activities. None of it will be great but you get it all in one location. read more

When he brought the check to sign along with 1 gaming card, but we bought 2 gaming cards! He darted off so fast and couldn't get his attention. I took another 5 minutes before we got our second card. This place is awesome if you come for the bowling and beer. When I took my nephews here their birthday it was fun, but nerve racking. There are a lot of people and it was easy for two kids to get lost in the sea of bodies. The price for food was on par for most places serving the same thing, but the quality is not good. After ordering a pizza that had as much flavor as the cardboard it come is was disappointing. The plus side of this place is the adult part. Bowling was fun, and they had staff there to take any drink orders. They do have a full bar right next to the pool tables for added convenience.
