We paid over $60 just to bowl and then when we ordered food, paid over $70! That's not even the bad part; it's timed so we only got to the 5th frame before our game ended! No warning like at Pinstack. It took so long to order food and drinks we wasted the whole game! Our waitress never even brought us refills. There was little to no room between each lanes so the people next to us were so close. So pissed I wasted that much money for NOTHING. I think my family & I will just stick to going to Pinstack from now on. read more

Terribly disappointed with today's visit to Main Event, and seriously doubt that we will come back to this location in the future. The only thing that saved this from being a one star review was the service. Our hostess and server were both very good, but nothing else was We arrived at Main Event and were told there would be about an hour and half wait for a lane... okay, no problem, we can play some laser tag, some games, no problem. We sign up for an all day pass, save a few dollars thanks to the suggestion from our hostess. The kids are registered, and just going in, when we get the notification our lane is ready, 20 minutes... My wife and I get our lane, and before long the kids join us. We are plagued with constant equipment failure. Stuck bumpers, slow racks, total outage, and improper scoring. In two hours 5 people barley got one and a half games bowled. The kids enjoyed laser tag, but the young man they have running it was incredibly rude to kids ranging from 5 to 9, not just my kids... all of them. My son was trying to follow the rules and put his equipment back where it belonged, but someone else had put there's where he was supposed to. How's that his fault, and how's it supposed to correct it? He thought to put his vest down, got yelled at for putting it on the floor, and then was yelled at for that. A no win situation for a 9 year old. When I called the employee on his BS attitude he just looked at me, and then walked off. No apologies, just bad attitude. No complaints about dinner or our server. She checked with us often to make sure we didn't need anything. Brought us refills as needed, and even helped find employees to assist with the numerous lane issues. I swear I must have done 2 dozen squats just so my youngest could bowl with the bumpers up... In summation, Main Event is an arcade, with poorly maintained bowling equipment, and a few rude staff members. In the future we will most likely go to another bowling center, and pray we have a better time. read more

We have always loved this location. However, this visit was one for the books. We were going to go to Andretti's since the lids had game ply leftover from last time but decided to stay close to home and the bowling at Main Event is wayyyy better. It was crowded (during a pandemic ) and we waited in line even upon arrival. We paid to bowl, and were told it would be "40 minutes at the most." We grabbed a drink (waited in line for that), ordered a pizza and settled into a booth with the kids. An hour later, I go check on the pizza and was told it's almost ready. Then I swing up to the counter and am talked down to by the girl working and told it will be ANOTHER 2 HOURS for bowling and we are 8th on the list. She goes and grabs someone - a manger maybe? - who then tells me she can get us on a lane in 5 minutes. I ask how this is possible, since the wait is now 2 hours and she tells me "just to make you happy." I tell her just to refund us for the bowling. I then purchase $100 in game play for the kids - I know, that was a hard pill to swallow - but the night was about doing something for the kids. Poor guys waited so patiently to finally play only to have arcade games malfunction. The only bright spot of the evening were Chico and Cody in the arcade area - the only employees who seem to understand customer service. They also recognized my kiddo as a regular. Shame on me for not reading the reviews on Main Event before taking a date here. Thought it would be fun to go to an arcade for a little playful roasting, but was left embarrassed by my decision. Little kids were running around screaming because their parents had absolutely no control over them, which wasn't necessarily Main Event's fault. What I will blame Main Event for is that so many of their arcade games were broken or not working properly. The controls on pac man weren't working like they were supposed to, multiple air hockey tables were broken (no air flow), multi-player on Connect 4 had problems. But you know what was working fine? All of the card readers on the machines. So although the games may not have been working, you were still losing credits and had to go ask staff to put credit back on your account. What I was hoping would be a fun experience left me deflated. The best part of the night was my date suggesting we leave Main Event and go to a nearby place for drinks. This is good place to bring the kids to play and hang out with the family. The games are kind of overpriced and the kids can blow ten bucks in under 5 minutes. We came here to bowl and attempted to get some service by pressing the call button but no one ever came. The service was lacking and employees are hard to find in the prize room or anywhere on the floor but the bar area. It was good bowling for sure, but this place is just okay. The kids loved it though. Pizzas looked great. They had a gravity obstacle course which is so not worth paying for. You have to pay for laser tag and the room is quite hot. Had such a good time here! Great fun for the whole family. They have great food and such a fun venue. Their little ramps for the little kids are the perfect size. When I was in middle school 11 years ago I would come here with my dad and my play laser tag. We would always be here on Friday and Saturday night. My dad is kind of old but he still likes playing laser tag. It's so fun playing laser tag and beating the other team. Before the game would start we would always play the basketball game. Sometimes instead of laser tag we would get my sisters and mom and go bowling here. Till this day we still go bowling here. They also have a bar here and you can order while you bowl. read more

We had our holiday get together here today. We paid for our rental shoes and were assigned two lanes, 13 & 14. There were plenty of open lanes when we first arrived. We ordered food and patiently waited and waited for our food to come out. 20-30 minutes later it finally arrived! However, to our horror the Guacamole, was brown and not green and fresh like it should have been. The wings looked like they had been sitting out all day, the carrots and celery were old and had a white pasty dust/ powder on them and the fries were cold. We were also given dirty plates even though I asked the worker if we could just grab the paper ones sitting on the buffet. She said no, she would grab us some but after 10 minutes, ended up giving us the paper ones anyway. The glass plates she originally gave us were all dirty. We ask to speak to a manager, and the cook/chef comes and says he'll redo the wings for us since "he knew why they came out that way". Why he would allow it to be served t customers is beyond me. Then the bowling manager on duty, Jose-Operator, per his name tag, comes over to us and states that we would need to move as Toyota called to reserve some bowling lanes and they had to be all together! Now, I get it since I would love to have a team outing together but we were not asked if we could move but was told we had to move and if we refused, Jose - The manager, would have us removed. He then proceeded to tell us he would refund everything to us: bowling lane, bowling shoe rentals, and the food. Wow!!!! What great customer service to just kick out patrons when it suits you! Needless to say, we will never go back. This was the worst experience I've ever had at an establishment like this. The facility is clean and abundant with games and supplies for playing Billards, bowling and other games. They have great summer pricing for the kids to enjoy all this place has to offer for a half-day morning or afternoon rate. The food is decent and priced well but don't expect to get prompt or immediate service while bowling. Two bars are located in here; One is located near the Billards section and the other is located nearest the games so you can easily watch your kids from there. read more

Today we had an issue with our food coming out. We got things in layers and our game of bowling was almost over. We got our appetizer then a pizza and then out other main dish and we had to ask where our order was. Stephanie the manager during the day was so helpful and found out the kitchen was under staffed. She called in someone else to help them and took care of our Check. She was the most perfect example of customer service. I know mid day is a rough time sometimes when things get busy. Monday night unlimited bowling does not mean unlimited bowling. If it's busy you're put on a wait list. When you finally get your lane you have it for an hour, and if there's still a wait list you cannot extend your time. It would stand to reason that purchasing "unlimited bowling" would allow you to keep your lane and extend your time on that lane. Instead, you cannot extend your time and you have to be put on another wait list. (In my experience another hour and a half) With plenty of lanes open as far as I could see, it's unacceptable to advertise something as unlimited when there is a clear limit. Wouldn't have minded being moved to another lane but that wasn't even an option. 10/10 would not recommend coming for the "Monday night madness". It is a complete scam if you are looking to bowl for more than an hour. Also never had a server come to our lane to even ask if we wanted water or anything. Your money is better spent somewhere else where their offers are clear and honest and there is good service. read more

Took my son to go bowling Saturday night. Arrive and see there are at least 6 empty bowling lanes. Waited 15 minutes in line. They only had 1 register open for a busy Saturday night. I've never felt the need to write a bad review for any establishment. But our first and now last experience here was so awful. We paid $65 for my husband, 3 year old daughter and I to bowl. We got to our lane and there were 5 sets of shoes still sitting there from the previous bowlers. The front desk lady said we will have a server come by so we can order some food. Take into consideration, there was only 1 other family bowling that wasn't eating either. We almost got through our first game, so finally I saw a little concession stand to buy my daughter a Gatorade. 3 workers made eye contact with me and didn't even acknowledge me. So I finally got so fed up I went and found someone and asked if they can serve us after almost an hour being there. So he eventually did. An employee dropped our food off, we never received any napkins, plates or silverware. I asked the girl who dropped the food off if we can get some napkins please. She gave us dirty look and brought some over. We get done bowling, we go on to purchase a game card to play the arcade games and after waiting 5 minutes for the card to dispense, I decided to go get help from a worker. I walked up smiling, hi can you help me with this machine? My card isn't dispensing and the 4 workers just stared at me and finally a girl went and got a manager and he got it out for us.
