Was very unhappy this time around. I feel there are a lot of workers but not attentive. First off the lady at the counter didn't even put the bracelets on, just handed us 3 of them. Then put us on a lane that the screen didn't even work. Said it would be 5 min but we can bowl still, umm there is a maintenance guy in the way. I even asked to move to another lane. Finally after 10 min and me asking again they moved us. Server never came had to ask for one twice. Time ran out on a game and asked to just finish the game, they reset the whole game!! Location / Facility: easy to reach and plenty of parking. Restrooms have the cheap "water saver" faucets which makes washing your hands really annoying. Food and drink: your average greasy, lousy "bar food." There's no water fountain, which is frustrating as you're forced to ask for water or buy a drink. Games: The bowling is good. The video games are ok, but stay away from the "skill" games (throwing basket balls, timing a light to be hit at a certain time, shooting a light gun) as I found they don't work half the time and when they do, it you get one or two tries and that's it. Since the games are EXPENSIVE ($0.50-1.50 per game), the value for your money is terrible. The "jungle rope" game (used for larger parties) is awful. Terrible concept and even worse execution. It's nothing but chaos and standing around. The laser tag is subpar. It's one of those setups where you have to go back to your base to electronically reload your gun, and if you get shot you lose 25% of your ammo. Ergo, you basically walk back to your charging station every 10 seconds. Booooooring. read more

The experience we had was not what my friends and I were looking for. First off, the bowling alley is not working properly. The pins would just randomly fall, the pin clearing system quit working twice, and the score would just randomly change. You are also better off wearing your regular shoes. On the mini golf and rope course, the workers were extremely rude. They yelled at us and treated us poorly. We wanted to get food there, but just appetizers were over 10$. My son and I visited Main Event yesterday, due to the pouring rain outside. We spent four hours playing video games, ski ball, having nachos and drinks, and playing shuffleboard. Most of our time was spent on shuffleboard and watching others play pool. Even though it was a little crowded that day, we didn't have a problem getting the attention of any staff member, for drinks or equipment checkout. My husband and I signed up for the Spring "Fun" league at the Frisco Main Event. We prepaid and were promised MLB bowling pins. The league has been over for a week now and still no pins. I've called and emailed multiple times with no response. When we inquired about them at the location we were told to follow up with the corporate office. Weeks later still no response. This is beyond frustrating. In addition to promising up the pins and not delivering, the league was run in a completely unprofessional manner. When we showed up on our assigned date and time (the same every week), the employees acted surprised to see us. Our lanes were seldom ready for us. We had to wait for them to move people around to make room for our teams. We were also told that we would receive weekly emails with status updates and fun contests for the following week. The only email we ever received was on week one. We don't even know the final standings. I am beyond disappointed in the entire process. I would strongly discourage anyone from participating in their fun leagues. There are much better places to bowl in the DFW area. Save yourself the headache and avoid the Main Event. read more

Was having a great time bowling with my family. After our hour was over my kids decided they wanted to go do gravity ropes. We go up to the desk underneath the ropes and we were rudely greeted by a employee by the name of Alexis. We get our ticket for 2:40 and our kids were very excited to get up there and do the obstacles. 2:40 comes around and Alexis rudely tells us where to line up. She start handing out the harnesses and you could see through her body language that she was flustered because my kid was struggling to put it on. oh my gosh y'all ! went there with some friends and had THE MOST horrific experience! while waiting for others in our group we were waited on by someone who's every reply was "I don't know." Never once did it click in her to bother to go and ask someone. Then she brought our group the wrong size shoes. She brought the sizes for women to the guys. Then, get this. I have never experienced the food service at any other place more worse than here. Each of our groups orders were messed up. The people delivering the food to our lanes couldn't even tell us what the food was. One girl sniffed our wings to try and determine what type of sauce was on it. Yeah, you know who you are. How disgusting and unprofessional. Someone sniffing your food! Gawh! Yes, this is no lie! I think there were three orders of the nachos and every order was delivered wrong. Every wings order was delivered wrong. One guy ordered a drink and never received it. Another ordered a drink and was told yes only to then be told they don't have it. All in all, we took it with a grain of salt, light hearted, etc. But who is hiring these people and why aren't they being trained better? We live fairly close to this location and love to play laser tag here. It also has great arcade games. My only complaint is every time they advertise a special there's always a catch. Case in point, on Saturday I checked on my cell to see if the had any specials. On their site the advertise the 7funcation or something of the sorts. It allows you to play unlimited laser tag, bollards or bowling for $7. The only catch is that it's not good Fri - Sunday or Monday evenings so this promotion really isn't that great since most people play laser tag, Bowl, or play pool on the weekends. Especially since school has started. So I suggest if you're looking for a weekend deal try Strikz, they are two exits up and usually run better deals than Main Event! read more

If I could leave negative stars, I would. The people were great, service was OK, but the videos they were playing on the screen were unbelievable. I took my 7 year old date at 6:00 PM to bowl and sat through music video after music video of drugs sex, grinding, stuff I just could not believe they were playing. Terrible customer service/business practice. We asked for 2 tables of pool for 30 minutes (listed at $8.45 per table). When checking my credit card later that night, I was charged ~$80. I went back to Main Event to dispute this, and was told by Monica that I was charged $36 for pool and $36 for shuffleboard. After telling her that we did not play shuffleboard at all and brought the pool equipment back after 30 minutes, she told me she would have to wait until the waitress comes into work later that day to ask her what happened. I told her that I don't live here in the area and wouldn't be able to come back if there was a problem, but she said there was nothing that they could do and they would have to wait until next week when the bookkeeper could look at it. How can they just charge a customer for activities that I didn't do, and then refuse to give me a refund when I come back to question it? Why would I go through the trouble to come all of the way back? I will amend this review if the company does what they said they would do and fix this by Monday, but I wouldn't be surprised if they never got back to me.. read more

Had our son's 7th birthday party here. Overall, it was a good experience, but a few things kept me from giving them a 5 star review. 1. Our bowling time is for 1 hour, at 1pm. Our bowling didn't start until 1:15pm because they didn't have the lanes cleared and ready for us. Our bowling was cut 15 minutes short because the host did not allot enough time, as I told her. 2. First 10-15 minutes of bowling... there were technical difficulties. It would skip people, or get stuck on people. Ugh. 3. Not a huge deal, but the "manager" who tried to help us with our "rejected credit card" had an attitude. I called my credit card company, and they informed me the error code was not an error on the account, but on the machine itself. When I told her to punch in my numbers manually, she had an attitude and said "well this never happened before....." in a snooty tone. 4. Misc games didn't work, as expected... impossible to find staff to fix the issues. My son had a great time, and so did all of the other kids, and that is what matters most. Next time, I'll talk to the GM before hand to let him know the issues we had- hopefully we can avoid them next time. read more

My Overall Experience was ok. We purchased a pass for every attraction instead of games(wasn't told about the deal). We bowled about an hr and a half, then our game was shut off and we were told that he thought we would more comfortable away from the family next to us? So we play laser tag the kid back there was super sweet! We get ready to play games after I dont think the kid at the front was very knowledgeable about the deals they had so he sent me to the kiosk to get a game card, cool. However they have a pass for unlimited play for 3 hrs which i didn't know until after our visit. Same guy who said he thought we would be more comfortable away from the family next to us. So we head to the bar once again bartender super nice, very knowledgable makes me a margarita on the rocks which i typically dont like but she persuaded me ,so I tried it. Didn't like it which is the norm. Nice bartender went to the back I guess then another girl (black/ wore glasses) WAY TO AGGRESSIVE, one was rude asking me a thousand questions about what was wrong with it, I simply told her I didn't like it or care for it. Sometimes MY people get a little to comfortable (you are here to please me). Glasses girl makes me a horrible drink that was in the wrong glass one and mainly red bull. I wish i could give this 0 stars!! I wanted to take my 2 year old son bowling since it was his birthday and he's never been, it was $200 to reserve 2 lanes. So we figured we'd just wing it. We go the next day and it's a 2 1/2 hour wait, which is fine because normally it's not as long as they say, but no you have to pay the full amount to even reserve a lane???? Why would i do that? What if the wait was even LONGER? Dumb. So we decided just to play the arcade games and get some food. We waited half an hour to even be helped to order food, they had attitude about wiping down the filthy tables. The server was RUDE from the start! Couldn't even get ketchup before 25 mins and when they did bring it it was an EMPTY BOTTLE. Half the games weren't working but took your chips anyways, games were WAY OVERPRICED! 12 points for a small claw machine? Get out of here! All of the workers looked depressed, i don't think i saw anyone smile the whole time. We went to order a drink and the bartenders helped everyone that wasn't in line before my dad and i and they, as well, were RUDE. I went here for my boyfriend birthday on a Saturday. He had called to reserve the karaoke room and we were told there weren't going to be any parties after a certain time and that we could come in and reserve it without a reservation. We went in and a young man, Will, told us the room was reserved for another two hours. We told him what the lady told us on the phone so he checked up with another employee and he reassured us we just needed to wait 30 minutes. So we played some games and went back when we were helped by the manager, Ken, he told us the room was rented out for the next 2 hours so we caught him up on what was going on and then, Will, the young man from earlier ended up helping us. The manager was being really rude not to just us but to his employees, and I could sense a very hostile environment from the manager. I thanked Will before heading off to the room. Afterwards everything went well and we had a great time. I think there is a lack of communication at this establishment and it's almost as if their "go-to" phrase is "it's rented out for the next two hours" instead of "let me see if it's rented out". They way they have their "sessions" set up is just plain silly. For instance, you have dinner plans at 7:00 PM, but aren't able to get there until 3:30. The session ends at 5:00 so you can pay $20 a person to play from 3:30-5:00, and then To continue playing you would have to pay again for the 5:00-6:30. We had a great time as always. This is one of the better well run Main Events we have been to. Staff was very friendly. Food was great. Kids loved all the different type games that they have that other ones do not have. My daughters food was not cooked as ordered and they wanted to not charge for her food and give her a free dessert. I would not recommend this location at all. the customer service is in need of a major overhaul. 2 of the last 3 times have been a disaster. I think the only reason why one wasn't was because we were with a school group so we actually had someone helpful. the 1st visit on 5/2/14 the waitress stalked me for a tip, I have NEVER EVER had a server EVER demand one which is basically what she did...I will not write the entire episode on here.... Then yesterday 6/19/14 my kids were there, paid for the summer package & then were told no laser tag....did they offer anything to compensate for the package price?? NO! Not one thing!. I was super surprised when we visited here a couple of weeks ago. i had been before but was not impressed. It was too expensive and did not have good games. the bowling pretty much sucked because it was too crowded and we felt rushed. But my visit recently was totally different.
