Such a positive experience! I looked around for repairs after my new vehicle was in a mild accident that required a front end replacement. The other shops wanted to keep my vehicle for weeks without any guarantees of how long they needed it. Dave said he would order the replacement from the manufacturer and call me when he needed the car. When it was ready for installation, I brought the car in and was without it for only a couple of days. He also offered a replacement vehicle if needed. He jumped in my car and I drove around the block so he could get a feel for what I was experiencing. Honesty and integrity is something hard to find with the car business. I was referred to this place by a family member to get my Toyota FJ Cruiser serviced. I called on a Monday, needing an appointment on Wednesday before noon. I got my appointment and was ready to go. I had recently had some custom wheels and tires installed and turns out that they had failed to install a bolt on my rear tire. Although no damage had happened, Toyotech not only notified me about it, but replaced the bolt and didn't charge me for it. To top it off, they had serviced my truck in under 3 hours. About a month later (today) I got a call from (I believe it was Rick); the older gentleman at the front who had helped me. He had overcharged me by 50$, and wanted to let me know of the mistake that they had made, and wanted to make it right. There is a lack of honesty and integrity in this world, but small businesses like these guys truly shine and I would strongly recommend them for their honesty alone. read more

I have been coming to John and Dave for years, they are the only ones I trust to take care of my 2011 4Runner. It all started in 2014 when I was having issues with my transfer case, I was out of warranty and had no where to go. Dealer quoted me over 4K in repairs. I decided to give Main Street Garage a try. Dave was very professional and down to earth, was not pushy about repairs or upselling the job. They guaranteed to do the job at a huge fraction of the cost and even supplied me a loaner vehicle while my car was down, 2 days later I get a call from Dave and he stated that the transfer case was OK! I had the best experience with Mainstreet garage of any place I have ever had repairs done. My Buick had a mysterious problem with it and after a year's time, hundreds of dollars and two different other mechanics that were unable to find the problem or repair it I finally took it to Main Street Garage based on other Yelp reviews and within a couple of days they had diagnosed the problem and had the car running better than I can ever remember. Honesty is hard to come by. I have brought my Sienna and Scion here twice. Both times Rick gave me brutally honest answers and I walked away not spending a dime. He could have done what other businesses do and take the car owner for a ride for loads of money. But he would rather earn my business honestly rather then lose it forever by losing his trust. I have always been wary about taking my car in to get fixed because off all the scams out there. But my fear was soon extinguished as soon as I walked through the doors. The inside was beautiful and the atmosphere feels like your walking into someones home. The guy at the front counter Dave was very helpful and had me all setup in just a few minutes!! Edit, reply to below comment. First of all, this is a primary testimonial written by Randall, the person who had the unfortunate experience at this shop. Secondly, this is Yelp. If someone has a poor experience at your shop, then yes you will receive a "public tongue lashing" on here, that is the whole point of this app/website. However, if you read this more detailed account of what exactly transpired over the three days I interacted with your shop, I think you would be hard pressed to say it was unjustified. On Monday, Oct 5th, I stopped by around 12:30pm to see if someone could assess the water condensation in my Prius' passenger headlight causing it to intermittently fail. I was told by the main employee I interacted with, an older gentleman, that the shop was too busy that day. Perfectly fine, so I made an appointment for a diagnostic analysis on Wednesday at 1PM. When I returned on Wednesday, I dropped my key off with the same older gentleman at the front. I talked with him about the problem, and said that some internet research suggested that this was a common issue with that era of Priuses. He was able to contact Toyota directly and confirm that unfortunately my vehicle was not eligible for any recall repairs. A technician took my vehicle into the back, where after approximately 30-45 minutes I was told that testing indicated that the passenger side HID bulb was not completely broken, but definitely not working properly. I opted for the choice of replacing both the HID bulb and the ballast, and was told by the older gentleman that he would order the parts to be in, and schedule an appointment for the installation/repair job. This employee explained that the job was not a very quick fix, but could be done over the course of an entire afternoon by a team of two technicians. Ok, so I made my appointment for next Monday the 12th at 1pm, the next time I could make the drive out to Upland. I had already been stopped by the CHP and given a warning to get my headlamp fixed as soon as possible, lest I be ticketed by a less gracious officer, so I was really counting on this repair job. Also, I needed by vehicle ready for a long drive coming up which would take place during the dark hours of the day. So here I show up to my final repair appointment, right on time, only to be greeted by the same older gentleman who did not seem to remember me very well. I explained that I had a 1PM appointment for an HID bulb/ballast assembly repair in my Prius, and he kept checking the calendar on the office table. I don't know if my appointment was never officially scheduled in the calendar or what, but according to the older gentleman the parts had never been ordered because it "slipped his mind," so it didn't really matter. I was also told that the job "couldn't be done in the course of an afternoon" so he "never would have told me that anyways" Given that this employee didn't even remember me, let alone order the parts I needed, from before his extended weekend, I don't think he was in any position to tell me what did or did not transpire in our previous conversation. At this point, I was quite frustrated and upset, but I am not the kind of person to lose my cool. However, what really angered me was the seemingly total lack of effort to make up for the huge bind I was now trapped in. The only thing I can remember being told was that the parts could be shipped in "by the end of the day" and that "loaner cars were available." Well that's fine and dandy, but it didn't help me out in the least as I was wholly counting on having my car in and out that afternoon, parts ready. Perhaps not everyone would have as much of a problem as me with coming out once again on another day for a repair. But what you need to know is that I put so much faith in your business based on past yelp reviews, that I had gone to the trouble of driving 45 minutes out to Upland three times already. Even worse, I now had essentially no chance whatsoever of driving my car hours in the dark with a broken headlamp, not only illegal but also dangerous. John, you don't need to have your feelings hurt by my negative review. Yes, you and your team are not free from human errors, but a professional owns up to their mistakes. In this case, I left your business with essentially no consolation whatsoever for a "simple" error that might not have meant much to you, but wasted so much of my time and effort over the course of a week. Your reply to my previous yelp review does not show any sense of a desire to right my problems. What are you referring to by a "missed appointment?" I was the one who scheduled the appointments with your shop (as a customer typically does), only to show up to an employee who did not even remember me. read more

I had a sizable leak coming from my '03 Tahoe w 200k miles. I never randomly chose mechanics however my usual mechanic is across town and is always super busy. My concerns were after all was said and done I was sure there would be something not hooked up or working properly, but I was worried for no reason. David said they would be good for now, but should hear some squeaking in the near future. sure enough. I brought in the Mazda. Changed all four discs and turned the rotors. Thank you Main Street Garage/Toyotech. In a matter of 3 days my car wouldn't start 2 of the days. I had to call AAA Auto Club to help get me going. After the second episode, I took it directly to Main Street Garage/Toyotech so they could work it up on the diagnostic machine. Unfortunately the diagnostic machine did not give a clear problem so they went with the old fashion way of doing things.....they figured it out with process of elimination. Long story short, now I have a new starter and new starter relays and my car starts EVERYTIME I get in! I work out in the field most of the time and I start and stop my car at least a dozen times a day. What a GREAT feeling to know that every time I get in, it will start. i had to take my car in because i was having engine troubles from a different shops doing. as soon i walked in Dave and Rick greeted me. they were very friendly and welcoming. after talking to them they said they would take a look at my car and to leave it over night and they gave me a loan car in the mean time! i got a call a few hours later that my car was done and ready to be picked up. they were so fast and efficient. i highly recommend them! i felt very comfortable with them working on my car and they gave me updates with my cars progress throughout the day. definitely going back there every time. read more
