I saw them bringing out a lot of wraps to the party they were serving and since it was like 107 degrees with the heat index Mom and I decided to get the fried chicken bacon ranch wrap with onion rings. They claimed on the menu the chicken was hand breaded but I'm not sure about that. The wrap was huge and also 95% lettuce which was obviously from a bag and had a funny bagged lettuce taste. There was the smallest sprinkling of cheese, bacon and tiny chicken tender pieces. They didn't put much ranch on the wrap so that made it dryer. Luckily we asked for extra when we ordered because we like to dip our onion rings in ranch too. We really liked the onion rings. I would have said something about the wraps but our server had that large party so we didn't see her again until the end of our meal. The view was beautiful and they do offer cocktails. They have a nice outdoor covered patio with ceiling fans but Mom said it was too hot even with the fans and since she's nearly 84 I wanted her to be comfortable. We will definitely go back again but I will try something different or leave off the lettuce if I do get a wrap.

We had arrived in the early evening and quickly put our luggage into our adorable cottage so we could make our way down to the tavern. We enjoyed many drinks and some typical bar fare along with some conversations with the locals. The atmosphere was incredibly welcoming and homey. We walked back to our cottage and had a comfortable slumber. It was a great stay and I can't wait to return!
