Great service I got a sweater for Christmas and didn't like the color. I went into the store and Cam was able to help me out in the exchange. She went over and beyond to help come up with a solution we where both happy with. Thank you great customer service. Sadly something you don't see as often now in day in retail. After the mess at the Roseville location, I went to this location to pick up the shoes that I hoped had actually been held for me. The first person to greet me was looking for the shoes but having some trouble. As he showed me the shoes, the manager got involved, hearing my story. She wanted to keep my receipts from the other store and I gave them to her. They both noted that I did not get the 20% discount and since it was a 20%/40% sale, I should have. They gave me that discount. They also apologized multiple times even though they were not responsible for the mess I'd experienced at the other store. I'm not feeling 100% about them, but close. Reviews pretty much some it up. This is a chain store, like the chain used to be to flush toilets! Zero customer service. You may get a greet at the door hit or miss but that's about it. Nobody will come answer any questions, nobody will help find you anything. Went looking for a longboard, nice selection, but nobody around to help answer questions. And signs not to try out the board? How do you buy it, without trying it? Do you by a car or a bike without a test drive? Was looking for a skateboard helmet but couldn't find a size for my son? Nobody around again. What a disappointment they lost out on a $260 sale here. Lots of merchandise but no customer service to help move it. This place is a JOKE! Tried to do an exchange without a receipt and it was next to impossible. I didn't want money back...just an exchange. First I tried to return it to Valley Fair and they said I needed to go to the store where I originally purchased it from. I'm like really??? I just want to exchange the shirt. NOPE! So I go back to Oakridge and it literally took an hour to complete the entire process. I had to know the date and time it was purchased AND which register it was purchased on. WOW! Talk about inconvenient. Mainland skate and surf is a great store with lots of the latest fashion trends to select from and for those who skateboard there is a HUGE! selection of decks,wheels,bearings,skate shoes,even protective gear. The service is what really makes you remember the store right as you walk in you are greeted with a smiling employee saying "how are you guys today?" This store has a great vibe that the employees give off you can really tell they love being there and as for "Ray A." (his review on the right) his description on the manager patty is way off! I realized I pretty much hate Bones China Reds Bearings, always having to clean them and lube them up. I decided to bite the bullett and purchase some Bones Swiss Ceramic bearings. I called all the Zumiez in the south bay area and the people working at zumeiz said they had them in stock. I went to Zumeiz and they had the ceramic bearings but not the ceramic SWISS bearings; the difference between the two is significant enough for me to bitch and moan about their confusion in the matter. They dont even carry the ceramic swiss bearings which is retarded. I don't want to sound like a bitter old man but if you're going to open a so called skate shop you should probably carry competition grade bearings and hire employees that know a little bit about skate products and who have some common sense as well. Anyways I called Mainland and the guy on the phone actually knew what the hell he was doing and confirmed he had one box left in stock. I asked him to hold them for me and he agreed to do so. I skated there with my friend and I walked into the store sweating like a Punjab but they didn't mind and actually had the bearings set aside when I told them I had called in earlier. That was really cool of them to do that. After completing the transaction the guy behind the counter went ahead and installed the bearings and we had a friendly conversation about skateboards and had a few laughs while he was doing so. Once they were on they spun like butter and were quiet as a mouse. My buddy even tried to get on my board and it slipped out from right underneath him and he busted his butt in front of a few people outside the mall which totally made my day. My fav mainland location. I come here to shop for my BF and we almost always leave with a good item. It is rare when we come in and he finds nothing he likes. This is my favorite location, again, because mainland employees are great. They are some of the most fun employees I've had a chance to interact with. They are down to earth and always willing to participate in friendly conversation and it doesn't feel weird. Definitely recommend this place. read more

3.5 Stars I totally love their selection of TOMS shoes here. They carry tons of colors, even colors that have been discontinued for a while now. I would say that they carry a larger variety of TOMS than I've seen at the actual TOMS store (in LA) or at Nordstrom. Very helpful staff that approached me to ask if i needed help but didn't hover over me while i took my time to browse. Their clothing section however doesnt seem to offer too much and things are still very pricey. Would def. come back here for shoes though. read more

I bought an Adidas Shoe for my daughter on 30/07/2019 and when I reached back home, I realised that that was a men's shoe. Store : Stoneridge Mall, Pleasonton I went to your store on 02 August to exchange the shoe and your store manager (SAM) refused to exchange the shoe and rather threw the bill on my face. At the time of buying the shoe, I told that I don't need the box as I am here for business and don't need the box. Sam ( Manager) told me that I told them to throw the box and that is why you cannot exchange it. The shoe is in its original state and have not even removed the tag. However, even on my several requests he was too rude and never bothered for a customer. I am here till 09th August and would request for a resolution. The staff is extremely friendly and will find EXACTLY what you're looking for. They're all wearing masks and gloves. They have real surf wear. Not to say their fashion aren't good. But if you need real surf/snok/swim you will need to remember this store. If you are going to the water, this is a good place. If you are going to the beach you might want to shop at a vanity surf store. read more

We arrived in the store 15 minutes ago. I am looking around with my son ( who loves this store) and not one of the three salespeople have spoken to us. We are 1 of 2 groups of people in here. There's a male worker who is flirting with his coworker who is in a flowing dress and oversized sweater. All she wants to do is laugh and spin around in the middle of the store. It's all very bizarre. I give 5 stars based on the selection of clothing, but 0 for customer service so I'm meeting in the middle at 3. We come here often and have never been treated like this. The cashiers have been helpful and kind each time I shop here. My only complaint would be in regards to the feel, the store is BIG and doesn't feel all the way full. Disappointing and uncomfortable. When someone goes into the store with the intention of spending at least $100, and then gets followed around by the store personnel while trying to shop to the point where they feel uncomfortable, it kinda makes you want to spend your money elsewhere. Worst business ethics ever. we tried to return clothing we received as gifts from Christmas and the store associate literally smelled the clothes and said that someone has worn it. literally. what was worst was that although they sold the sweater without the tags they expected the sweater to have the tags to be able to return. on top of that, the DM said that "his" store would never sell anything with a "stain" or "odor" on it, yet he says they mark down items with stains on it and sell it for less. yet, the receipt does not indicate that "markdowns" are nonreturnable. how does that make any sense? it doesn't. never, ever again will we do business there again. if i could give no stars, that would even be better! read more

I would give this place 0 stars. After purchasing a t shirt for 30$ . i got a allergic reaction to the material after wearing it. I took the t shirt back with original tag and reciept. The clerk smelled my shirt and said it smells good so that means its not in original condition so therefore he will not return it. Very rude in doing the transaction. Very sad to hear that. I went into MainLand on 5/4/18 at the mall to get my boyfriend sweatshirt and the girl at the register in the rudest tone goes "and an extra large was okay for YOU?" then looks me up and down and was rude for the rest of the checkout. I am overweight but not by that much and normally I would wear an XL but in this case it was actually for my boyfriend. My friend who was with me even looked up and said excuse me did you hear what she just said. I was going to call in or even go back in to complain but I'm extremely embarrassed to go back in there after this which sucks because I was consistently in there to shop for my boyfriends clothes because they have super nice Thrasher and Santa Cruz apparel. I just don't think it's good for one of their cashiers to be rude in that way towards other girls especially. You don't know the others story and if I was too big for an XL and I was buying one you still should just keep your mouth closed because you don't know what that person is going through. I'm currently trying to lose weight and I have successfully lost quite a few pounds but hearing the skinny girl at the register say that ruined most of my night I didn't even go out with my friend after I went straight home. I guess I'll just go to Zumiez now for his clothes because it is right down the way. I really regret spending $70 there but I couldn't just walk out once she already started checking me out I was so shocked that she would even say that to me.
