Thanksgiving just got a French upgrade! I had the chance to experience Maison Cheryl's limited-time "Frenchgiving" (Nov 10-Thanksgiving Day), and wow... and it's EVERYTHING Start your meal with French onion soup or their famous crab cake with horseradish pepper aioli, then sip on crafty cocktails like Not Your Father's Eggnog or go classic with a cosmo. For the main event? Think crispy roast duck with blood orange gastrique, baked mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole with pecan caramel & campfire marshmallow, and maple + goat cheese brussel sprouts. And yes, you HAVE to leave room for dessert--key lime pie, pecan pie, or basque caramelized cheesecake. Trust me... you'll want a table for this one. Follow daithefoodie for more foodie adventures & get your reservations before this Frenchgiving feast disappears! 2900 Wilson Blvd #104, Arlington, VA 22201 #dmv #dmveats #vafoodies #vaeats #novafoodie

I had a reservation for Brunch with a girlfriend of mine and we literally talked and ate for four hours. This is a smaller place but it lacks a punch in a good way. I ordered a latte, and the Fried Chicken Ceasar Sandwich and it came with fries. It had a chipotle creme sauce, which was amazing ti the point i asked for a side of it to add more to my Sandwich. My friend ordered a mimosa, latte and the Truffle Steak and cheese omelette. If I had to pick a con, itd be parking. This is Virginia so prepare in advance to arrive arrive and circle to secure parking.

We came here for brunch on a Sunday and there was plenty of seating. Lots of good options on the menu for both food and drinks/mocktails. We ordered lots of things including the steak eggs Benedict, creme brulee french toast, eggs royal, and Dakota steak. All of the dishes that had steak- the steak was over done. We asked for medium and medium rare and almost none of the steak had any pink in it at all. The meat was tough and not very juicy either. The creme brulee french toast had a good flavor but we wish it was a bit more toasted- it was basically just wet bread in sauce. Service was fast and very nice though!

A friend told me about how good Maison Cheryl was and I had to check it out for myself. It's located on a busy road in Arlington and has both indoor & outdoor dining. It got packed pretty quickly (although it was a Saturday night), so I would recommend making a reservation. Their menu was a decent size. I tried to check Yelp prior to ordering to see what some of their dishes would look like but it seems they mix it up seasonally, which is great! I ordered the truffle butter fries (a must), brussels + bacon, and baked brie for starters. I loved the baked brie, which came with grapes, pecans, honey, pear, and a fresh baguette. For apps, I tried the wagyu sirlion and my fiance ordered the seared duck breast -- which we both loved! Overall, it's a cute and quaint spot with great French food. It runs on the pricier end but it was great for a weekend night out.

We were excited to eat here- very close to where we were staying and could walk. And the food has good reviews. When we got there only one group of four were dining. So we sat at the bar thinking we would get great service but that wasn't the case . Attentiveness to customers is sub par-Had to ask on two occasions for water refill. Then the group of four left and a woman came out spraying cleaner and mopping all around us. The smell of chemicals was awful. The food was very good except no bread was offered. That was odd. Another annoyance was the wireless phone sitting on the bar that rang out twice during our dinner. Hopefully the managers read these reviews and make some changes.

This place was absolutely fantastic. My friend and I saw this place open when we wanted a late night snack. The staff was so nice and quick and we had so much fun chatting with them. The service was also really quick too. We came back today for brunch and it was good enough that I could hear my friend but they had some memorable hits in the background. My friend got a fried tomato blt and I got the burger. We shared the baked to order madeleine, which was unbelievable. Not too sweet but sweet enough and the fruit was fantastic. The struggle fries were unbelievable. Such a wonderful ambiance! If you are in Clarendon, I suggest giving this place a try. You won't regret it!

Fabulous brunch and service. Everything we had was fantastic. My friends and I came for a Sunday brunch, i ordered the Caesar salad sandwich, which was delicious. Their truffle fries with aioli alone, I would come back for. The blue berry pancake was beautiful. I ordered a "just a lil kick" which is a spicy margarita which was delicious. Prices were on the higher side. The only complaint was the Madeline's were slightly burnt on the edges. Overall, the experience was great would highly recommend brunch here.

I am sad to say that I was too disappointed in the service and general food of this place. This should not be considered a fine dining establishment - especially due to the poor servi. First off, the food is more French-inspired American cuisine, but there is very little hints of French cuisine on the menu. In terms of food and drink, we ordered the autumn fizz, honeynut soup, maison wagyu burger, and shrimp and scallop orriechette. The burger was far too salty, with no sweetness to balance out the flavors. I did however enjoy the char on the bun. The pasta was alright, no standout flavors. The soup was probably the one redeeming dish. In addition, we arrived at 1pm on a weekday, so there were not that many patrons in the restaurant. However, the waiter was not very friendly or attentive throughout service.

I had always walked by this restaurant while in Clarendon but never had a chance to drop by and I'm so glad I got a chance to try it out for brunch! Came at noon on a Saturday and it wasn't packed at all so we were able to grab a seat easily without reservations and the staff were kind welcoming us. The interior is cute and nice, which makes me surprised this place wasn't busy! My friend and I got shared a bottle of sparkling wine with orange juice for $20 and it did it's job perfectly. I had the truffle wagyu burger and it was so delicious alongside their crispy fries - the burger itself wasn't too salty or anything and the meat was soft in the middle and had a nice crisp on the outer parts. We also split the creme brulee french toast which was also so good - the creme sauce was a nice "dipping" sauce for the toast, which did have the brulee part on it underneath the strawberries and sugar and wasn't too sweet too which I loved. I would say everything was decently priced and I loved the food, service was attentive, and the ambiance was really nice. I would definitely recommend for brunch and have to try for their lunch/dinner menus next time, this place seems so underrated!

Crepe cake. Creamy, layered goodness with a beautiful cherry finish. How could we not?

Qu'est-ce que c'est... Delicious! This quaint spot in Clarendon has just made a spot of my meet-up with friends for deliciousness list. Brunch all day, yes, please. Don't let the menu overwhelm you. You can always come back and try more. Fluffy classic French omelet, check, steak fries, check. Too full to move, but have room for dessert, check.

    Grace K.

Food - 3.75 service - 5 ambiance -4 I got the lychee martini to start - good but a little too tart and sweet. We shared three appetizers to share. Escargot, Brie and cheese plate. The first two were pretty good. We ordered the escargot twice, it was tasty and the oils were good for dipping. The cheese plate was too simple: a child could have put it together. It brought what felt like an elevated dining experience down a notch. We felt the lighting was a little too bright, it feels more like a snacking environment, a good place to meet before dinner kind of place. Parking was a little challenging, street parking mostly, but in an easy to find spot.

My recent experience at Maison Cheryl was absolutely delightful. They were doing a special limited menu (apparently the chef rotates seasonally and likes to try new things) and was fantastic from start to finish. Our first course was a beet citrus salad which included goat cheese and was based around this lovely roasted beat flavor that tied everything together really well. With a small bit of honeycomb on top, the salads overall flavor profile hit all the right notes. We paired the salad with a fried green tomato dish that had a perfect cream sauce. I've had overly fried tomatoes before but these were light and really flavorful. For entrees we got an order of the bay scallop + shrimp orecchiette which was highlighted by the unexpected but very good corn forward flavor. The serving size a little too large for me, but leftovers are never a real problem. In addition we had a salmon and mussel dish where the broth it was set in blew my mind. Cooked perfectly, both the salmon and mussels were great, but I could have enjoyed just a bowl of the broth with a loaf of bread. Being so full for the dessert I'm not sure if I truly appreciated the chocolate cake or cheesecake as much as I could have, but they were both a very nice conclusion to the meal. Our server was very attentive to us the entire night, never leaving us waiting or wanting for a single thing. The restaurant itself is situated in a cute part of Arlington, and really matches the vibes of sophistication with a lot of comfort. I am excited for my next culinary adventure here!

Hubbant asked if I wanted to go out to eat and I said yes of course (the only good reason to put on pants these days) but he had to pick the place because I always have to pick. He loves French food so he suggested we try Maison Cheryl. He had the squash soup, beet salad, and steak frites. I asked Hubbant to help me write this review and he said his food was "good." I insisted he be more descriptive and he added the sauce au poivre was "au poivre-fect." So, he's fired. I had the deviled eggs three ways. My fave was the chipotle crema. I ate 5 of the 6 eggs but then I was full, which was a problem because I ordered the bucatini with the fried burrata for my entree. I barely made a dent in it and I wanted to cry because that zucchini herb sauce was so good I'd go swimming in a pool of it if I could. During dinner I tried to get Hubbant to help plan our anniversary trip to Italy, Slovenia, and Croatia. The best he could muster was, "I think Croatia has some nice beaches?" So I hired him back only so I could fire him again. We were about to leave but Hubbant had to poop. I was annoyed at first -- he always has to poop when we are about to go anywhere -- but this ended up being a good thing because he returned with valuable intel: the bathroom was a "one header" (solo bathroom). Our dinner was excellent, but for this reason alone we will return for brunch. TL;DR: Great spot for francophiles and shy poopers.

The service we received from her was by far the best service I have received in a very long time here in the DMV. I actually stopped dining out as much as I used to because service has declined over the past few years sadly to say. She was patient, made suggestions on some tasty meals but most importantly, had a great personality that you can tell is authentic & genuine which made a simple girls brunch that much more memorable. Now as the food.....I'll just say this, DELICIOUS! My friends and I shared different items on the menu for brunch from hors d'oeuvres to main course down to dessert. When I say EVERYTHING was super tasty I seriously mean it. We had the mussels, pasta, sea bass, and more in which the chef made each platter with a unique twist for each. All this to say is you must try this cafe. I had to write this review because it truly deserves a 5+ star for its meals/drinks, ambiance but to me most importantly the service. If you are lucky enough to have Bailey, I promise she won't disappoint you. Thank you for the wonderful experience and food

For starters, we had the Salad Maison and the La Cachat, which was very appetizing. My friend had the Potato Crusted Salmon, which was my favorite dish that we ordered. It was cooked and flavored perfectly for my taste buds. Another dish that a guest from our party had was sea bass (Loup De Mar), which I also enjoyed. This dish also was big in portion size. My dish was the Steak Frites which was cooked medium, however, it wasn't as juicy or flavorful as I desired. I also took the opportunity to try the Ridoir which was strong yet tasty. We were sat in the solarium area, and it was during the heat dome, and it was really warm in there. Otherwise, though, it's completely charming inside and reminds us of some of the best French bistros we've been to in the country (e.g. Balzathar, Le Supreme). The three cocktails we tried--the frose, le jardin, and the clouseau--were all stunners. And of course the bread deserves another special mention, *especially* the room temperature butter. Thank you for not serving hard as hell butter! We shared the warm shrimp salad to start, and for $31, we were expecting more than a few avocado slices and 4 shrimp on it, but c'est la vie. The dressing was incredible, and the greens were crunchy. That's actually the only dish of the night that we thought was unfairly overpriced. One of us ordered the burger and the other got the rabbit pappardelle--you've got to get rabbit when you see it on a menu, which isn't often enough! There was a good amount of super tender meat and the pasta was perfectly al dente, all in a lightly stunning sauce. Chef's kiss. The burger was, no surprise, another triumph. There was juicy meat, bun integrity, and all the right accouterment notes. The fries are standard. Our daughter got their mac-n-cheese, which is probably just the gratin dish renamed. It was OK. We kind of got out of control for dessert and ordered the pot de creme, the cookie dough ice cream, and the profiteroles. Honestly, these were all good, but nothing that stood out as exemplary as with the savory stuff. Our only major complaint was the service. It was really spotty and while there was a very, very long gap in between when we got our water and then put in our drinks, but our mains came out almost directly after the salad. And the guy was just not very hospitable. Not necessarily a "bad" experience...it just could have been a lot better. We were sat immediately and had a wonderful time. Our waitresses were patient and had great recommendations for our first time trying French food. They seem incredibly experienced and added comfort in the way they spoke to their customers and ran their tables. We were even greeted by the owner who was great and cheery to each table he visited. The one night we went, it was incredibly packed with people having intimate, lighthearted, and laughter-filled gatherings, tables with multiple rounds of wine, everyone sharing their fries, and so he should feel proud of this place. Touches like this made it as though we were dining in someone's house. And I love that they start you off generously with bread and butter. Its a type of french loaf that is nice and fluffy, and I'd recommend setting some on the side if you're ordering a brothy dish. We ordered Moules Marinières, which came in a delightfully large cauldron of juicy plump clean muscles swimming in an herbaceous-garlicky white wine sauce. Unassumable from the simplicity of ingredients they threw together, but incredibly complex in flavor. This is one of the few times I actually tasted bay leaf, and amongst the fewer times I found the use of rosemary not be so overpowering. The mussel liquor at the bottom was perfect when soaked up in bread. What an incredible dish. We also tried a classic, Le Steak Maison, which was also distinctively flavorful. Our steak had a perfect cook at medium rare, and was uniquely seasoned with some sort of blend of herbes de provence. The fries were pretty standard and substantial, but paired with the Béarnaise sauce, it was such a tangy play of richness and acidity. Again really simple ingredients just executed so well. Great job, looking forward to coming again to try more on this large menu.
