I went to Majestic Nails recently to get a gel manicure for a wedding. Tu was my technician and he did a truly fantastic job, was personable, professional, and even educated me about nails. However, I'm deducting 1 point for the fact that 3 of my nails are chipping at the edge after only 4 days of having my manicure done. That's a bummer. read more

Here's the thing....I normally prefer this nail salon because I want to support the family, and they've always tried to be flexible if possible to accept walk ins. At the same time, availability has really been rough lately. A couple of weeks ago I got out of an appt early enough to get a manicure, so I showed up right before they would have opened at 10am to see if they could take a walk in. I waited until 10:15 or so...not open. I called, and the owner/wife said her first appt was at 11am as if that was the excuse for not being open. If that's the case, then the sign should say 'by appt only' and not 10-6. read more

I will start by saying the daughter and son have always done an excellent job with my nails. One week ago, I had gel removed (was not completely removed) and was going to get a manicure. The mother absolutely destroyed my cuticles! You ALWAYS push back cuticles before trimming, which she did not do. So, as she's opening the polish, I said no thank you I'm uncomfortable, so I paid and left. Unfortunately I will never go back again. read more

We did nail polish and then a matte top coat - color was also great but when she put on the top coat, white flakes kept getting and drying in my nails, this happened multiple times. Instead of taking off the polish to redo it, she continue to add multiple layers of polish and of top coat on top of each other which cause the nails to have streaks in them and not dry properly. read more

Unfortunately while doing my pedicure, the tech snipped/cut my big toe on my right foot. A few days after, I noticed my toe hurt and was red. I figured just from the cut. Then almost a week later the pain increased to where I looked at it closer to find the cut was infected and my toenail was very loose. I called them hoping and asking for a refund. I still got the service they said. I let them know I won't be back. Instead of an apology and a peace offering, they acted like I was making this up. Ask my husband who had to play doc and clean out and bandage it for me. They could have at least tried to make up for it! read more

This was my first visit. Liked the location and the great reviews on Yelp. Visited on my birthday with my Mom after booking appointment ahead of time. As we entered no one greeted us. There were two people currently getting their nails done. After walking over to pick out our polish color another employee finally walked out from the back room. She also did not even look up or say hi, just started filling up the pedicure water bowl. Eventually she ushers me over and begins my pedicure. There was no other staff available to start my Mom's manicure even though we made appointment together. Kinda disappointed. Her manicure did not get started till 20 minutes after mine started. So I finished and had to wait for her to complete which messed up our lunch plans. The shop I've heard has been recently updated. The massage pedicure chairs are nice and comfortable. The stations are very clean and they appear to clean their tools well. My pedicure was not very impressive. The woman gave very little interaction. Barely touched the bottom of my feet which are still ruff. I know some people get their nails done regularly, but this was a treat for me. I'll jump right in. I'd never gotten a set of acrylic nails before, but given an upcoming special event, I decided to take the plunge. Knowing the both the monetary and physical cost of acrylic nails, I scoured Yelp for a salon with frequent and consistent reviews. I wanted to know my nails were in good hands (pun intended). Majestic Nails seemed ideal-- walk-ins welcome, in my budget, and seemingly reputable. I arrived and they got me seated shortly. I checked to make sure the price advertised inside matched the price advertised online. It did- $30. I explained to the nail technician taking care of me that this was my first time getting acrylic nails. She didn't acknowledge me. I assumed the session would start off like a mani--soaking, buffing, cuticle pushing, etc. Either they skipped that part or it isn't usually included when you get an acrylic set. If I simply assumed wrong, than this initial disappoint was a fault of my own ignorance and not their negligence. Still, my disappointment was compounded when the acrylic nails were smaller than my actual nail. You can see the edge of my real nails poking out from underneath the acrylic. It's very tacky looking. A few of the acrylics were put on crooked, and none have an adequate coat of paint. The color is streaky and there are bubbles in the paint. Near the cuticles, the paint isn't even in an even curve. Towards the end, before my the technician had finished doing my top coat, a scheduled client walked in. My technician hurriedly ushered me to the station where I wait for the pain my to dry. In the process, one of my wet nails was bumped and the paint buffed off. She said she would "fix it after." (after what??) She than went to care for her other client. I sat for twenty minutes wondering if I'm supposed to leave or not. I felt like she provided a less-quality session because it was my first time and I may not know any better. Finally, I went to check out. The man told me my total for the acrylic set was $38 (what? Maybe gratuity is included...) and then he asked if I would leave a tip (I guess it's not included?) Because I am a server at restaurant, I felt compelled to leave a tip and sort out my complaints with a manager later. I ended up paying $43 for the sloppy, unprofessional set. Unfortunately, I didn't find a website or email to contact a manager. Overall, I'm very disappointed at the lack of communication and unprofessional work serviced at Majestic Nails. I'm sad I wasted $43 on a treat that was supposed to make me feel confident and beautiful, not tacky and insecure. read more

Someone's gotta speak up about this place! Why does it have such a high rating, Yelp?! I'm trying to come up with a reason to give two stars, but it is quite hard. Maybe their service was better a couple years ago, idk. But...where in the world was their service menu? I came here completely relying on Majestic Nail's high rating. This is just an FYI: if you're going here on a Friday morning before 11 AM, don't. They staffed literally only one person (and I just happened to walk in when she was trying to juggle two pedicures at 10:20 AM). I felt bad that she was the only one, but the "15 minute wait" she mentioned unfortunately turned into 35 minutes. I got a regular mani which was $14, apparently (still couldn't find a menu). I'm not sure what my nail technician's name was, but she did an extremely poor job and didn't give any attention to the detail since she was clearly worried about the other two customers before me. But heck, it wasn't even about details, it was just sloppy painting. I don't even get my nails done that often, but I know I won't coming back here again. I had visited Majestic several times at their previous location, and I decided to try their new salon. My pedicure felt very rushed--maybe 20-25 minutes start to finish. I was upsold several times. (Do I want a deluxe pedicure? No. Do I want my eyebrows done? No. Do I want a special design? No, and when I added an explanation this time, the technician cut me off with, "Just say no if you don't want it." Yeah, I did and you didn't listen the first time...) I had a 1:30 pm appointment on Saturday, July 29th at Majestic Nails. Helen's nail tech proceeded to remove my regular nail polish. After which she started to trim my cuticles on my right foot. Well she cut my toe, it started to bleed, I said ouch. At that point I told her to stop, she kept trying to finish, I said that's enough. Never once did she apologize. She then tried to trim my left foot but I moved my foot to prevent her from touching it. Finally Helen's daughter, who was working on my friend's pedicure told her to stop. Very disappointed. Went for a "girls day". I got a full set and had a pedi. I came with a regular client and think that made my experience better. I did notice the salon was neatly organized and had lots of tables, not all of them had a tech, but it was a lot of them. My pedicure was AMAZING! It wasn't rushed and she was very thorough. I was so relaxed at the end of it and loved the way my feet felt to the touch. I had french tips installed. Other than being heavy handed with the acrylic, it was a decent set. I should have requested a better shaping job, but I was ready to go. I would go there again if I couldn't get into anywhere else. I really don't like the poor shape on some of my nails. It looks a little like a glob of acrylic on two or three fingers. I'd give them a "C+". read more

I decided to get a pedicure at this salon after reading all the reviews on Yelp! I didn't make an appointment and they were pretty packed when I got there. Somehow they were able to squeeze me in and I was very appreciative of that! The pedicure itself was awesome!! She didn't rush through it and took her time! The foot massage felt so good, I almost fell asleep!! I was also offered a bottle of water which I thought was a great touch! The salon itself could use some TLC and those massage chairs were terrible! Only one setting worked and it was way too hard on my back! I only used it for about 10 min before I had to turn it off! The pedi ran me about $25 (without designs or anything)! Sounds like a bargain to me! I'll definitely be back! read more

I've been to so many nail salons where I feel placed in a chair and rushed through the experience. Let's be honest, you're getting your nails done because you want to be pampered! Gel manicure peeling after only three days and they were not willing to make it right. I called and informed them that my gel manicure was peeling today only three days after they did it. I told them I am unable to come in because I am flying out today to visit family for Christmas but wanted to send them pictures of the manicure, along with pictures of my flight itinerary and photo ID so they didn't have to question my story. They said they would not be willing to fix it and would not be willing to provide me an email address or cell number so that I could send the pictures. They were completely rude and unprofessional. I was a walk in manicure last week, this was my first time coming here. I was told I needed to wait 30 minutes, which was fine. I asked to look at the gel colors and was sat down in a chair. One man took off my nails, a woman put on my acrylics, and another man painted my nails. For paying almost $60, I was there nearly 3 hours, and my nails already have scratches, rhinestones have fallen off, they're raising, etc. also my nails weren't event cut, cuticles weren't pushed back, just acrylics were slapped on. Absolutely the best service. I came after they closed(NOTE: fall and winter hours they close at 7). I just needed a repair on a chipped nail and Tu looked at it add said he'd do it real fast. He didn't have the same color dip, but you wouldn't know... And he refused payment! I was so grateful that he even fixed it! I would have come back the next day, happily. After reading all the other reviews, I'm surprised I had such a lackluster experience here. I think it completely depends on which technician you get. I walked in without an appointment, and they fit me in which was great. However, there was a movie playing while I was there, and the technician kept stopping doing my nails to turn around and watch the movie! At times she had her back to me for several minutes, watching the movie while I just sat there. I was meeting my parents for dinner afterward, so I didn't appreciate the extra time I had to spend because of it. When my manicure was finished, several of my nails were jagged around the edges, like she hadn't finished filing them, and there was dark blue nail polish on the tips of my fingers. The price is about $5 cheaper than what I've gotten at other places, but it definitely wasn't worth it for the experience. read more

I was super pleased with my experience here. This is one of the first nail places that ever got a manicure and pedicure done in an hour. I think if you're looking for an all day experience this may not be your location. But if you need your nails done, on a busy Saturday, they were on time, and right away got everything done. My daughter and I were out shopping on my birthday and wanted to get pedicures. We were nowhere near our neighborhood pedi location so I did a search on yelp and found this place. I will definitely be back. I've already told several of my friends about it. Lee did my pedicure and he was meticulous, not to mention funny and very nice. I paid an extra $6 for the deluxe pedicure with the apricot scrub and eucalyptus masque and it was well worth it. I find it strange that others complained about the dog, who is a beautiful English Bulldog. He was not roaming around. He's kept in the back but did come running out at one point while I was getting my pedicure. He didn't go near any customers and the owner wrangled him very quickly, much to the disappointment of most of the customers who seemed thrilled to see a dog. The place is very sanitary. This location is about 5 miles from my house, but I will go out of my way to come back. The service is fantastic and it's very reasonably priced. read more

He did an amazing and quick job at fixing my messed up nails. I could not be happier with them!
