I ordered a bacon, egg and cheddar sandwich on a bagel and it is brought to your table. It was full of product and pretty tasty. I ordered an everything bagel next with salmon spread, and this was a little disappointing. I have ordered the same thing in other bagel restaurants and have gotten more product for less money. Love the downtown location and decided to place and order here for the first and last time. I called and had to place my order through AI, which was already annoying instead of being able to speak to a live human. I'm waiting in line after about four people ahead of me go up and take their order. I walk up to where it says order pick up and ask for my order and the gentleman tells me no I need to get back in line, someone else will help me which the line has already started moving so now I have to stand off the side and wait for a chance to catch the cashiers attention only for her not to find my order because my order is sitting on some tablet next to the register, but was never put into the system. This was my initial visit to this particular location. I frequent the downtown location due to the fact I exercise often in that vicinity. These two locations far differ aesthetically, but the bagels are equally delicious. If you've been a local for years, this location was once upon a time an Einstein Bagels and is still features the same layout. Nostalgic indeed! Masking, table spacing and social distancing was in effect. My friend and I met for breakfast and we dined outside at one of the bistro tables. I also grabbed a 1/2 dozen of bagels to go. My son had a tennis tournament nearby with a 2 hour break between 2 of his matches. We were hungry so we stumbled upon Makeb's. The place was excellent. I had a fantastic sausage, egg and cheese on an egg bagel. The sandwich was much better than the ones I get near my home. My son had a roast beef and cheese sandwich which he said was great (he is very picky). My wife also had a bagel which she enjoyed. So this is a great local place for fresh bagels and they are very good! Also nice place for freshly made quick snack or meal. So why only 3 stars you wonder? The other day I ordered on the app for the 1st time: pretty straightforward and convenient - you get a little bit lower prices, supposedly, and ur food is ready when u get there: no waiting (waiting is getting to be a bit of an issue as this place gets more popular ...). The last page of the app gives you the status of ur order, so u keep an eye on this page waiting for the last item "ready for pick up" to update. So I'm sitting in my car outside waiting and waiting. Finally I go in and it's busy so I'm standing waiting and waiting, phone in hand. After about 20 mins I go to the pick up area and finally get someone's attention asking how it works: does the app assign u an order # or what? She says oh no and points to the corner by the register "pick up there"... no signage, completely unmarked for app pickup. I go there and a lady hands me my order: I look at my phone and the app still says "being prepared"... "ready for pick up" still not updated! I show it to her and she says "yes... sometimes when we're v busy we don't do it". I said I've been standing there for 20 mins waiting for my order! She checks the time stamp on the bag and says "yes, it's been ready very long time". I said "how was I supposed to know that!? My food is cold now! You're supposed to update the app when it's ready!" She said: "ok next time we do...".
