Our expectations usually is by price, we're not elevated foodie type for fancier dining experiences unless it's for the entertainment of it, etc. We like city versions of hole in the wall, ghetto fab, semi-purist, daily casual and sometimes clearner types of food. So this place fits the daily casual place to eat at. If you're looking for more perfection in dishes, there's tons of other places to line up and pay higher prices for in Vegas. For those coastal city ppl even coming from NY NY, where the norm for casual/mid tier least westernized sushi places costing easily $100ish per person (less than $100 per person), this place could be an alternative for you. We ordered spider roll, it was a little disappointing, the sushi roll kept falling apart, the taste was good and the cream was crunchy. The tofu was ok. And the tempura bowl was ok. Definitely a hidden gem! Plenty of parking, which is always a plus, and the restaurant itself is super cute with a great amount of seating. Customer service was on point from start to finish, and every dish came out fresh and hot. We ordered a variety of items off the menu and were honestly impressed across the board. The gyoza ($6) was perfectly pan-fried with a great crispy bottom, and the filling was packed with flavor. The dipping sauce had just the right hint of spice to bring it all together. The takoyaki ($6) were hands down some of the best we've had at any restaurant. Super crispy on the outside, and when you bite in, the inside just melts and oozes out, so good and full of flavor. The squid leg karaage ($10) was a great starter. Squeezing fresh lemon over it and dipping it in the mayo and spicy sauce combo made it even better. Definitely recommend this one. We were especially excited about the soft shell crab ($9) since it's hard to find it served on its own. It did not disappoint... perfect crunch, great flavor, and the dipping sauce really elevated it. The tonkatsu curry ($13) was a standout. The jasmine rice was cooked perfectly, the curry had rich flavor with tender carrots throughout, and the katsu was fried to perfection... crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Easily a 10/10 dish. The curry udon ($9) is perfect if you're craving something comforting...just curry and noodles done right. The udon ($8) had a flavorful broth and perfectly cooked noodles, simple but executed really well. The crazy dragon roll ($13) was definitely a highlight. The amount of eel on top was impressive, and the roll itself was a great size. Everything from the rice to the flavor balance was spot on. I have been seeing the sushi taco trend on TikTok and this place has them. I got to try the salmon, soft shell crab, and negi toro. My favorite was the soft shell crab but the salmon was also yummy because it was flavorful. I wish I wasn't full from my last meal so I could order more. We got spicy edamame to try but we wish they had shishito peppers. They just didn't have it at the time. The food came out quick and if you needed anything you just pressed the button. The spider roll was really delicious and we enjoyed the deep fried soft shell crab pieces. The Kaizen bowl was fresh but some pieces we did not enjoy, such as the squid and liver. Chirashi bowl was better and virtually the same. What we didn't like: I got food poisoning immediately after and I'm assuming it was probably from the uni because it didn't taste fresh and had an odd smell to it. Also, the Japanese owner I'm assuming was racist towards a Latino family enjoying their meal and mocking them in Spanish. One of our go-to spots for solid food! It's not super authentic, but good quality and great prices. The service is also spot on. I especially love when tables have the bell to call your server because it just makes everything easier. We always order the udon and the chicken Karaage for our kids and they never disappoint. Both my kids will eat their entire dishes so these are 2 things we always get. I'm also a huge fan of their its izakaya roll and bonus! it's included (along with many other sushi items) in their 20% deal mon-thur from open to 9pm. A must-go-to Izakaya when you're in Las Vegas! (Visited while on vacation) Pretty much everything we ate was delicious and reasonably priced. If you're into sushi, I would highly recommend the sashimi combo and the sushi tacos (especially the Negitoro taco). The sushi tacos were large with a very generous amount of fish, not just rice. I always ordered a Kaisen don on DoorDash at this specific location because I think they have the best variety and quality out of all the Kaisen don I've had in Vegas (I've tried a lot). It was unexpected amazing, and there were different flavor textures that I never thought would happen and the thing that surprised me. One of which was a roll topped w eel. The eel was huge. A whole filet of eel was placed on top of the roll before it was sliced. The eel hung over both ends and was thick and wide!! This has become my new favorite spot in Vegas. The food is amazing. I can't really pick a favorite but I recommend the skewers, especially the pork belly and chicken skin, no sauce, just salt. The pork jowl skewer is also good. I wasn't a fan of the chicken hearts. They were a bit tough so I didn't order them again. I prefer the ones at izakaya go. Their wonton tacos are surprisingly huge. Their katsu curry is excellent. It is a little spicy, which I'm totally here for. Their poke bowl is another standout, and the katsu bowl is also a good choice.
