Great spot for live music. Food was better than expected as the overall impression was it wasn't very clean. Our server Jade was new, 2nd week but had a great attitude, but did disappear a bit. It's definitely a cool spot, clearly frequented by locals who don't seem all too welcoming of non locals. If we're ever up in the Palm Bay area we will end back.

Our server was great, but we were very disappointed in the food. My sisters did not like the poke bowls at all. It had a horseradish sauce on it instead of wasabi. There were no cucumbers at all, and there was no seaweed salad included as stated on the menu. My burger was great. My niece's chicken was not cooked and had to be sent back. It was very very quiet... Then we found out it's changed hands recently. Usually it's packed. The manager came out to talk about the issues but really didn't do anything wrong to try to make anybody happy. There was also constant yelling and foul language from the kitchen. Kids kidding around I'm sure but it is a business and I don't find that to be acceptable.

1/2 pound beef hamburger with fries $15.99

We read a favorable review recently posted by the Treasure Coast Foodie and bought special offer gift cards to give Malabar Mo's a try. We did not have the same wonderful experience that the foodie folks did. We sat outside on the lower deck seating area by the stage where a gentleman was playing guitar and singing a mixture of country and older 80's songs. I will say our server was very attentive, pleasant, and provided great service. I ordered the classic American hamburger with fries for $15.99, and the other person ordered the mahi-mahi BLT sandwich on Texas toast with fries for $17.99. We both agreed the fries weren't good. They had a frozen bag taste to them. The burger had very little flavor, but a big splat of ketchup and mayo helped. The mahi fish itself was tasty, but the Texas toast was too buttery making the sandwich soggy, and the sandwich fell apart. The location is really nice with a view overlooking the water, but the atmosphere, food, and entertainment were all just bland. It's too bad because we had high hopes for a better experience and left feeling really disappointed. Unfortunately, we likely won't return.

Came here for lunch after our airboat tour from Swamp Donkey and recommended by our tour guide. Pretty good food and laid back.

I got the wings in hot. I like that they just redid the place. I read about the wings and decided to come and try it. The food does take a while and I went around 3pm The wings aren't as thick as I expect but the sauce really ties it up together. Fries were perfect. Hush puppies were perfect. There's a lot of people hanging out loud at the bar and outside drinking it out. I wouldn't say it's an atmosphere thats not normally a sit down and eat like Buffalo Wild Wings or Bizarros. I'd go there again if I was celebrating something.

Overall, a good experience. I'll definitely come back, but there are some serious issues that…read moreshould be addressed by the restaurant. I'll give it the 4 based on menu and food quality for now (even though something was seriously wrong with one of the specials), but if I returned and had the same ambiance and food issues again I would not be so nice. Food - Excellent. 1 ordered pasta (all loved it), 1 ordered the Wagyu picanha special (loved it), 2 ordered the snapper special (1 loved theirs, but the other came out 100% overcooked. Had to use a knife to cut it, and it was ultimately inedible.) All agreed that they'd eat the food again (just possibly avoid fish special as the quality was inconsistent). Did not notify staff because it took A FULL HOUR for the entrees to make it to us from the time we arrived. Service - Excellent. Server was very good, you could tell had experience. But they were way too busy. Could not visit the table as often as they should have. Probably didn't get orders in and food moved in a timely manner. But this is the fault of management (for understaffing for the number of guests) and the owners/decision makers (that decided to cram in more seating/guests than the kitchen/staff can actually keep up with). Ambiance - Uncomfortably loud. A speaker directly above our table was either misbalanced or turned up too high or broken. It boomed bass at our table the whole time. In an already incredibly loud room because of all of the talking and the tables being way too close together, it was unbearably annoying. We had to "what" each other a lot. About those tables - please quit it. I get that YOU the restaurant want to pack in as many people as possible, but we were practically sitting in strangers laps. I could hear every detail of the conversation at the table directly behind me, more than I could hear the person I was dining with at the table across from me. All of the customers AND staff were bumping against our chairs CONSTANTLY trying to pass by or reach other tables. "Sorry." "Sorry." "Sorry." The staff said sorry to us so many times it was obvious they knew it was a problem. The only reason this happened is because they're cramming two 2-seaters behind and around two 4-seaters in an area where you really can only fit the two 4-seaters comfortably. It was also unbearably hot. The garage-style doors are open... on a day that is a "feels like" of 96 because of the humidity. There was literally ZERO air movement in the restaurant. We were SWEATING at the table. The men, dabbing their foreheads and fanning shirts. Did they have an AC? I think so. Bc I felt it twice for 2 minutes. But that's it. The thing is - the food is priced like upper end dining. And I would say the quality of the food supports those prices. But no one wants upper end dining in a crowded, hot, sweaty, loud environment. It's like having a steak in a mosh pit. Will come back and hopefully the restaurant will have worked out the kinks by then.

Every day of the week they have a different separate drink menu for the specialties of that day. I love the Wednesday bourbon. The vibe inside is so amazing and Homie and it is pretty intimate though. So keep in mind if you have large parties like I went once with around six people it is hard for everyone to sit together. So I would definitely recommend coming on more weekday evenings when it's not as busy otherwise you will be having to wait in a line outside unfortunately. The capacity seems to be roughly around 30 people after talking with the bartenders. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable. The off menu drinks that they could come up with ended up being some of my absolute favorites. I had the bartender at one point make me three surprise me drinks for whatever they felt like they could make. And every single one was so amazing I ended up passing it around to the rest of the group for everyone to try. Keep in mind, the drinks are probably a little bit more on the expensive side, but you are paying for more of the experience. It is also important to note that there is a five dollar cover fee that will last for a full week to enter the place, or you can buy an annual membership for $40. If you buy the annual membership, they do type out a membership library card for you and laminate so it feels very official and it's very cool to be able to have in your wallet. In the true vibe of speakeasy, this is a hidden gem.

The cocktails were exceptional. I asked for classic cocktails that weren't in the menu. They delivered. Love the place. Why Four stars? Service was three bears. The waiter with the blonde mop of hair is very nice but inexperienced. Too on top of customers when they arrive. He needs to give a menu and give a few minutes for guests to peruse it. The head bartender is brilliant. Talent without hospitality, though, is a craft cocktail fail. Kindness counts. The vibe was colder than the cocktails. I hope it improves on future visits. The blonde bartender in the grey dress was just right. Professional, attentive, and kind. This is easily a six star speak. When you are serving? You are "on." Be as excellent and calm of a person as you are outstanding at your craft.

Decent beach bar, but a little too kid-friendly for my taste…read more I came here hoping for dinner on the water, good music, the sound of the ocean, and maybe some friendly conversation with the locals. Instead, one of the main seating areas was partially taken over by strollers, toys, and other kid gear. I understand that restaurants can't control every family that visits, but the overall atmosphere felt more like a playground than a relaxing waterfront dining spot. To the staff's credit, my server was kind enough to move some of the strollers and toys so I could get a seat. Unfortunately, it had just rained and the chairs were still soaked. While I appreciated her making room for me, it would have been nice if someone had also taken a moment to wipe down the seat before it was offered to me. Instead, I had the unpleasant experience of sitting in a sopping wet chair and spent my evening here with a soggy backside, which definitely put a damper on the experience... Pun intended. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc, which was good, although I was a little surprised to receive it in a plastic cup. Maybe that's standard here, but it wasn't what I expected. For dinner, I tried the mahi tacos after seeing them mentioned in several reviews. The fish itself was good, but the tacos were absolutely covered in sauce, to the point that it drowned out the taste of everything else. Also, thatsynot what they looked like on the reviews I saw. If I knew they would have so much sauce (or any sauce actually) I would ordered it on the side. I ended up removing most of the sauce-drenched toppings just to taste the fish. I also requested a side salad and was told the only option available for a side salad was a Caesar... despite several salads being listed on the menu. I guess it was too hard to toss some salad greens into a bowl with a side if vinaigrette The parking situation is also very confusing. All the spaces indicate that parking is for guests and there is signage along the fence threatening to tow anyone who parks along the fence. I had to call the restaurant to confirm where guests could park (along the fence, as long as it is not overnight or just to go to the beach) and fortunately my car was still there when I returned from dinner. Overall, the food was decent and the waterfront location is nice. If you're looking for a casual, family-friendly beach bar, this may be a fit. However, if you're hoping for a quieter place to unwind after work or enjoy a peaceful dinner by the water, you definitely want to look elsewhere.
