I came here looking for a place to grab some lunch, sip on some coffee, and work on my computer a bit. I was not disappointed! The service was excellent. When the woman serving me brought my coffee, she offered to grind up some fresh nutmeg for it right there on the spot. The atmosphere was home-y with a warm and sweet staff. There were chalkboards full of a huge amount of options from salads to sandwiches to cheese boards and rice bowls. I had a tomato and mozzarella panini (for those who are vegetarians reading this: their mozzarella has vegetarian rennet) which came with lettuce and balsamic. It was great, though could have more flavor. My mother ordered an Indian Rice Bowl, says "I was expecting more flavor, but it was good, I enjoyed it." We also shared a small order of olive tapenade with half a baguette and some dried fruit, which was heavenly. The olive tapenade was to die for! I went here yesterday with my mom. There were a few tables outside but the humidity was pretty high so we choose to sit inside. There were plenty of tables - some for 2 and others for up to 8 people inside the café. There were coolers of imported drinks, cheese and hard salamis and lists of the menu written on chalk boards behind the counter. Our waiter let us know that there was a special one a bottle of wine and a 3 cheese cheeseboard so we choose that option and also two sandwiches to share. We asked for the wine and cheeseboard first. It did take some time for our wine and cheese to get to the table while they prepared it but we were there to chat and relax and the atmosphere was very relaxing there, even the music so we didn't mind the wait. We ordered the house pinot grigio and it was really good. When the cheese board arrived it looked amazing. We had the cheese of the month that was a very flavorful cranberry stilton and it came with sliced candied papaya on it (warning - this was a bit spicy!), the smoked gouda (amazing!) that came with candied ginger on it and goat cheese with raspberry preserves and walnuts. The board also came with sliced bread and fresh blueberries, grapes and sliced strawberry. We had a choice of two sides and we choose the olive medley and the roasted garlic with balsamic and olive oil. Everything on the plate was amazing - next time I might skip the garlic and choose something else instead. Next our sandwiches came out and I must tell you to start that I am not a huge cold cut fan at all and I have never raved about sandwiches in my life. However, I am going to rave about these sandwiches because they were amazing! I picked the salami with provolone sandwich on wheat (I will be uploading some photos and the pictures do not do these sandwiches any justice). The sandwich had greens on it, sundried tomatoes and olive tapenade - I will be coming back often for this sandwich! Also, the sandwiches came on the most adorable sandwich boards. My mom wanted to try a turkey and brie sandwich on white bread so we ordered that as well (at this point we were pretty full but had to try the sandwich at least). This sandwich was also amazing - it was served with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar and honey mustard and greens. I liked the balsamic on it and there was balsamic and oil on the table so I added a little more and devoured this sandwich as well. I was very impressed with how clean and cute the café was, how amazing and fresh everything tasted and by the friendliness of the staff. Both my mother and I are already planning on coming back and bringing family and friends to this café! read more

Came here on a Friday night around 830. My dad lives in the adjacent condos and I was looking to get away for a little while. The outside area is cute although it is along a loud, busy road. After about five minutes sitting outside a tall man with glasses approached me to take my order. He appeared to be irritated that I was there. I ordered a sandwich and a glass of wine as well as water. He made no suggestions about food or drink. A couple of minutes later my wine arrived but no water. After waiting another 10 minutes of no water, no food, no acknowledgement, nothing, I got up and left. I believe the man who waited on me was the owner. I visit my dad several times a year, but I will not spend money here as I do not appreciate being treated as an annoyance. It is not in a particularly desiresble location either. If you're in the area and hungry I guess you could stop by but I wouldn't make a special trip. read more

This place rocks. it is pretty, well lit with natural light and outside offers covered seating in comfy nice, outdoor furniture. The gentleman was anything but happy to serve us. When we walked inside its like an Italian deli/market/restaurant. The man walked out to the counter and we asked if we could sit outside and have wine and he mumbled and gave us each a menu. We had no idea this place was here, and we are so upset that we didn't know sooner! The café itself is adorable, small but cozy. We came on a rainy afternoon so it felt like we were in the city of Paris. The charcuterie board was to die for, the wine was exactly what we needed but the service was what really sold us. Judy, one of the family members that own the cafe, was extremely kind and warm and made us feel right at home. The food was all around amazing, we had the escargot and duck.
