Malibu Brewing might be a default for me when visiting Malibu. Real close to the beach, family friendly and lots of things around. Ordered a sandwich and fried fish tacos. These tacos were MASSIVE. They're mostly breading but they were satisfyingly crispy and a hefty amount of slaw. These are a showstopper. The sandwich however lacked seasoning I think but the cook was great. Ask for extra jus if you need it to enjoy it better. Mac and cheese were default, nothing spectacular but I'm sure it's an ol' reliable for most.

Malibu Brewing Company (MBC) is such a cute gastropub that surfs the perfect balance of flavor, excellent brews, and attention to detail. You can tell each staff member has one thing in mind, YOU! Billy was an excellent server. He helped me select the MBC Nachos with shrimp and I selected the elote which paired excellently with his suggestion, the HATCH beer. My beer flight was, no joke, some of the best beer I have had. Thanks to all who helped make my experience stellar at your beachy, elevated dive bar!

We love this place!! GREAT food and beer. Amazing location. It gets busy, but that's a good sign of a rad place.

Have been here twice, love the food, the beer is good. Love the ceviche and the different BBQ dishes. The service has been solid each time. The vibe inside is pretty nice as well. My only gripe I've had was the first timed the wait was an hour so I wanted to get a beer and wait out front in the only waiting area and the bartender said I couldn't take the beer outside but I saw others doing the same thing. Other than that the place is great, just wish they had wifi.

I came into Malibu Brewing to treat myself to lunch after spending the early afternoon at the tide pools at Leo Carrillo. I had a hard time finding it (My GPS led me astray), but once I did I sat at the bar. I didn't catch the name of my bartender but he was very hospitable and I ended up having the Hazy IPA he recommended (I don't remember the name). I ordered some Brisket Tacos, which were so good! Generously portioned and served with chips and a salsa on the side. The Brisket Tacos did an excellent job at capturing traditionally Hispanic flavors with somewhat of an American twist. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the brew. I love a good hazy, bodied, light on the stomach and the tongue. I also really appreciate the whole aesthetic, the devil is in the details and I love a solid choice of font for branding. I will absolutely be back. Thank you Malibu Brewing!

Good selection of beers, and love the patio that is dog friendly. My favorite beer selection here is the hazy ipa. The food is standard bar food that taste decent.

This place was really nice, loved the vibe, wish I would have gone first to the beach and then the brewery but it wasn't too bad. The food was good even though we just got apps lol we were there for the beer. Super yummy and refreshing love the canyon spritz do yourself a favor and get that one. The service was great our waiter was very nice and attentive. The hostess did rub me the wrong way she gave a rude attitude she had a sense of superiority when I was giving her my number for the waitlist and then it looked like she got bothered that another worker say us quickly instead of making us wait 20 minutes. Which we would have waited but she gave weirdo vibes. Over all I would def go back here, the beach is like 5 minutes across so we parked in the street and walked over for a bit. Good day at the end. Also sorry we didn't take pics of the food, we were just so hungry. But we ordered chicken nachos, pretzel, and sweet potato fries.

Malibu Brewing is so Malibu coded, I don't know how else to describe it. People are here for the vibes and beer - I'm sure - but mostly for the salads. Tons and tons of people sipping on beer and eating salads. Ngl, I too ordered a salad. I ordered and enjoyed a delicious Southwest Salad ($16) with grilled chicken ($5). The salad comes with greens, grains, corn, Borracho beans, southwest goddess + cotija. This was the cleanest southwest salad I've ever eaten - it wasn't weighed down by a ton of stuff or dressing. I also love the addition of the grains. It gave the salad a nice texture and made it feel a little more filling. Ten. Will order again. It wasn't all salads and beer for us. The MBC smashburger ($16) was delish as well, though I'd order a salad over the burger. The merch is cute. It's giving Madhappy if it's not already Madhappy. Malibu Brewing is cool. I'm there for the vibes and salad.

Great atmosphere, great service. Outside patio was full but inside was lovely and I was seated quickly. I got the highly rated rib sandwich and was quite disappointed... The bread was good but the inside was equivalent to a mediocre pot roast. It was well presented and great customer service but the chips and dip & buffalo wings appetizers were subpar. A restaurant with a great atmosphere and proximity to the beach across the street, but I cannot recommend the food. I know this spot is a brewery, my friend and I are not beer people so we appreciated that there were alternative adult drinks but we did not get them.

They have a wide variety of beer! Food was great! I had quesadillas and husband had a hamburger. Both were excellent! Service at the bar and at the table was very nice and speedy! Nice ambiance inside and outside on the patio. They are dog friendly, too.

Nick was outstanding and a great server. From the moment we walked in, the entire team made us feel welcome. The location in Malibu is very cozy and a great place to relax and enjoy yourself. We stopped in for drinks, which were excellent, and ordered the buffalo chicken cheese dip as an appetizer. It was next level and definitely a standout. It's something I would come back for again, along with the great service. Overall, if you're in the Malibu area, I definitely recommend stopping by and giving this place a try.

Busy place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Greeted by the hostess with a warm welcome and big smile. Promptly seated and quickly approached by our server, Conley. He was terrific and patiently answered all questions. If you're coming for beer, both their IPAS are really good. I would rank the Wild Grove over Hippie Van Hazy. Their Canyon was the perfect pairing with the poached pear salad. The turkey melt wasn't really a melt, but that turned out to be a good thing. The roasted turkey was outstanding. Their sauce brings some heat to the dish. And their in-house chips were seasoned perfectly. Whether you choose indoor or outdoor dining, there's definitely a fun vibe which adds to your experience. Cheers!

    Short Rib Sandwich

This tends to be our go-to spot after a weekend of camping nearby. They have a wide selection of beers and their food has always been tasty. They have indoor and patio seating, and the place has a casual-trendy vibe to it. I've tried tried the smash burger as well as their short rib sandwich and loved both. The short ribs were melt-in-your-mouth and also large enough to possibly save a portion for a snack later. We also ordered the hot wings to share which were okay but on the dry side. The roasted veggies for the kids were also a bit bland and mushy. The service is great, and our server was attentive and made sure our drinks were constantly topped off. 2 Hour parking is free in the lot was definitely a plus!

Should I make a reservation for tonight?

We strongly recommend reservations on weekends, especially during the busier summer months. We do have tables available for walk-ins on a first come, first serve basis. You can also call ahead and see how the wait is looking - we’re happy to help.…

Do you have a view of the ocean?

Hey, Danny. Unfortunately we are not waterfront, but we do have a gorgeous view of the Santa Monica Mountains from our patio.

Hi Christine, we sell several varieties in cans (6-packs and 4-packs) and we also can crowler & growler anything on our tap list as well. We can’t wait to welcome you in! Cheers!

Hi Gary, thanks for the question. We do have TVs, 2 at our bar and 2 in the dining room. Hope to see you next weekend! Cheers!

    Is it pet friendly?

Hi Kayla, we welcome dogs on our patio, as well as service dogs indoors & on the exterior. Thanks for the question!

The short answer is that Paradise Cove Beach Cafe is a minor tourist trap that is only really…read moresomewhat redeemable if you are going to the beach and/or making a day of it and need somewhere to both eat and park. First off, the negative: the parking is absolutely insane and always raising throughout the years, so if you're coming here for the beach and just the beach (no food/ drinks), then this is absolutely not worth it. If you don't mind paying an arm and a leg for good food and not the greatest service, then they can validate your parking for you, making it a better deal; not free, but lower than before. Their menu is kind of confusing because one side is dedicated to family sized meals, but the other size doesn't have everything on the menu that they truly serve. When I came here last weekend with my family, the blonde waitress that was taking care of us didn't give us a kids menu for my sister when seating us. When she came by again after we got seated, I asked her for one and motioned towards my sister. She asked, "Who at the table here is a kid?" in a serious tone and had a slight attitude. I just calmly said, "My sister," and motioned again, like before, towards her. She asked, "Well how old is she?" "11.....," I said. And she rolled her eyes and walked away. After five minutes, she came back with a kid's menu, although I never really knew what the full issue was. I understand that they don't want adults ordering off of the kid's menu in order to make more money on the adult meals, even though they can be too big for some people depending on what you get. However, a kid that maybe looks a couple years older wasn't as big of a deal as she made it out to be, rolling her eyes to a whole family. When we got our food, which was around 25 minutes after we ordered, a lot of the dishes my family and I ordered came in big portions and could be saved for dinner or another meal. I had also ordered a frozen margarita prior, but was disappointed when I got it and it wasn't frozen, but a very, very melted down version. It tasted good and wasn't too strong, though. All in all, I'd maybe recommend if you've never been before just to go once to check out the space, food, ambiance, and views that they're really known for. It's truly gorgeous since they're located right on the beach, and it's an amazing location. However, the customer service and prices make this restaurant not an occurring place that we go to.

When we first went to order, they said that they would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes so after 15 minutes, we went back to check again. A different worker told us that it would be another 15 minutes and then it should be ready shortly, so we waited again another 15 minutes and noticed that the machine still wasn't working. You end up feeling bad as a customer having to keep asking about something because you're not being updated or communicated to. It sucks because in the end, we ended up having to wait an hour or so in total just to get one drink, and by that time, my boyfriend had already drank two beers. I ended up having to get in line again and waiting behind a long line of people which took over 20 minutes just to get told that the frozen drinks had been ready for a while even though we had consistently been checking. When it comes to customer service, no one really seemed to care that we had to wait over an hour for one drink, as I know that they were swamped, but no consideration was present at all. I'm glad that when I finally got the drink that it was good, but because it was a frozen one apparently they had also made one on the rocks at the same time just in case the machine STILL wasn't ready after an hour (although we had been told that it would be ready in 10 to 15 minutes). We were upset to see that when we went to close out our tab, they put both the on the rocks and frozen margarita on our bill even though I had just wanted the one frozen blood orange margarita. All in all, it's nice that we have a place like Tarantula Hill in the Thousand Oaks area, but it's moments like those that discourage me from coming again in the future. If Tarantula Hill Brewing can find a better balance of handling the Friday to Sunday rush with people, then I feel like they would have a better loyal customer base and I'd love to keep being one of them.

Much to my surprise, it was about as lively as I had remembered it. The Alley was established during Covid times and offered a retreat to escape from the humdrum of the homestead. These days, its friendly vibe welcomes neighbors and visitors with a backyard setting strewn with twinkle lights and family-style tables. It's a causal scene and easy to soak in the live music, sunlight/moonlight, and neighborly banter. The layout resembles an alley with shops on either side, big open doors invite you to grab something to eat, sample a drink, or shop for handmade gifts. On one side, you've got craft brews and coffee roasters. On the other side, it's local wines and piping hot pizzas. Dogs are welcome all around. At the center of it all, there's live music on the weekends. Modeled after a Beer & Wine Garden concept, The Alley features Enegren Brewery (beer), Lucas Sellers (wine), California Coffee Republic (java), Fire & Vice (pizza), and The Craft House (non-alcoholic tchotchkes). As a self-proclaimed wino, I opted for a sampling of the Lucas Sellers Wines. Ashley, who was behind the bar and top of the pours, gave me good suggestions and offered anecdotes about each wine on tap. At the end of the night, my light pinot paired perfectly with the Mushroom Arugula pizza from Fire & Vice. And I felt right at home, surrounded by friends.
