We sought out Mama Kong at Kitty Cohens where they usually pop up Friday afternoon and ordered all 3 of their menu items that day, after hearing such great things about them! The staff was SO incredibly nice and asked if we wanted all of our food at once, or as it was ready and we took it as it came out. Each dish was better than the last, and was so incredibly flavorful, and piping hot. The veggies were so fresh, and everything tasted as if it has been marinating for days. It was perfect too because everything came in to go boxes so it was easy to share, and take the last little bit we didn't make it through. Mama Kong's is truly a hidden gem that deserves to be found, and they are worth tracking down!! Keep up with their Instagram for their latest location and daily menu/specials. We can't wait to try one of their full pop up dinners soon, and we'll definitely become regulars at their weekly pop ups!

Stopped by today for some lunch and it was delicious!! I had the beef stew which was very authentic, tasty, and just the perfect size. I tasted the other dishes at the table and nothing disappointed! The owners are super friendly and I can't wait to return!

Without even asking, he kept checking in on us, gave us pointers and made sure the people who I was with wouldn't consume any meat since they're vegetarian! I wish I could take back home this restaurant and the person who took care of us that night! So kind and humble. The food was a 10/10! There's indoor and outdoor seating as well as a bar. I requested extra coconut drizzle on the mango sticky rice and it was sooo yummy. I wished they added their desserts on the menu, but other than that, I loved my time there!

Rating: 4.2/5 [Postmates delivery]…read more Mini Rice Pancakes ($12): Turmeric rice batter, ground pork, shrimp, and mung bean, served with two sauces: coconut cream and house special sauce. I've never had this dish with coconut cream as a sauce--it had a thinner consistency and was salted, which made it really interesting. The house special sauce is similar to fish sauce. The pancakes stayed crispy, and you can taste the turmeric. The shrimp was slightly overcooked, but it's not a big deal when you're dunking the pancakes into the sauces. The coconut cream sauce is especially unique--the sweet and savory combination kept me coming back for more. Crispy Rice Pie ($12): Crispy rice crust, egg, dried shrimp, dried shredded pork, honey green onions, white truffle, and house special sauce. The rice crust was crunchy and made a great base for all the toppings. I poured the house special sauce over the pie, which brought all the flavors together. I'm usually not a fan of dried shrimp, but this one didn't have a strong smell or taste, so it was fine. My husband loved the honey green onions. This appetizer is on the heavier side because of the rice--I was pretty full after just a quarter slice. Cajun Fried Rice ($20): Crawfish tails, hickory-smoked pork and beef sausage, egg, sweet corn, sweet onion, scallion, and Cajun spices. I'd never had crawfish fried rice before, and it wasn't bad. I'm not a huge crawfish fan, so it's more of a try-once dish for me, but my husband really enjoyed it. You definitely get hits of Cajun spice, while everything else is more subtle and well-balanced.

It has been one of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants-and one of the only places to serve the Vietnamese pancake that I love. I sat down, getting ready to contemplate the menu. I was shocked to see it was a brand new menu. I asked my server about it, and he concurred that it is a new menu, but that the owners had taken many of the former choices off. . NO more fried rice-always my grandson's favorite. Although I was disappointed when it was time to order, I chose the Mixed Protein Bun. I requested shrimp and eggrolls. It is a bowl filled with rice noodles, shredded lettuce, cucumbers, shredded carrots, and your choice of protein. It also comes with a generous portion of fish sauce. After one bite, I knew that the old chef must have left. My food was so bland. To start with, I don't think it was salted at all..... which quite often affects the flavors negatively. There were no other spices or sauce or anything tasty in my bowl. I was very disappointed. I didn't even eat a quarter of the Bun. I didn't take the rest to go and I won't be returning, unless I see that they have returned to their former style of cooking. So I'll definitely be watching the reviews. It makes me very sad to have to write a negative review, especially about a place. I have enjoyed so much in the past!!!
