They have a well-priced pizza buffet Monday-Saturday from 11-2 where they have a basic salad spread and plenty of pizza combos. The lunch crowd was medium, music inside was normal. They got some TV screens around the place. The pizza was basically a typical buffet style pizza definitely better than a CiCi's Pizza not to down CiCi's. I have had mamas 2 times now. My family ordered pizzas for dinner and they were delicious. Beware the ordering system online did not work for us- I would recommend calling and ordering. I visited today for the lunch buffet. The pizza is really good. Good options for salad bar. I love the decorations, the restaurant is bigger than I thought it would be. A great place for families, they have arcade games and a Dallas and trains theme. $13 for the buffet seems a little pricey, but it includes tax and a drink so I think it works out. Pizza looks like it was bought frozen at the grocery store. For a $13 buffet I thought it would have a bigger selection like cici's. On arrival you can choose from 3.5 room temp pizzas and a salad bar hidden around the corner after they have your money. read more

This is a tale of two visits. We were excited to try this location of Mama's Pizza as we had frequented the one in Plano on Parker for years and always enjoyed it. This location is new and the owner of this one is not the same owner of the one in Plano on Parker. The place being new is really nicely set up and decorated. Wonderful lighting, some games for the kiddos and a back room if you have a large party, I guess. Our first visit, we order the largest pizza all meat, thin crust. We both enjoyed it and thought it tasted good - had no problems with it at all. So, a few weeks later we were to go back for the lunch buffet. The one in Plano had salad, spaghetti and pizza on it. This one has just a small salad area and they set out about 4 pizzas. None of them had more than 2 items on the pizzas and a couple just had on item such as hamburger. Including us, it was all men in there for lunch so the pizza went fast. They were not quick in replenishing it. Had to set around and wait on it. Anyway, the pizza and I'm going to blame it on the cheese had a odd flavor about it to me. After we finshed eating and left. My friend mentioned that it wasn't very good and he felt a little nauseous I told I felt the same way and mentioned about the cheese which he agreed. I don't know that it was or wasn't the cheese - I guess it could have been the salad - not sure. What I do know is that we are in no hurry to go back. I don't think they would use a cheaper quality of ingredients for the buffet vs ordering - that doesn't make any sense business wise. Something was off though. read more

About 35 years ago I used to frequent the Carrollton location for the lunch buffet so I was excited to see this place pop up again close to Jesuit. Yes it's a strip mall but when I went inside, this place is bright, clean and very spacious. The counter help was friendly, efficient and quick. He forgot my ranch but not a big deal at all and I certainly could have requested it again but it wasn't necessary. My mini sausage pizza came out quickly and it tasted exactly like I remembered it. The crust is a bit doughy just so one knows but it's buttery and garlicky and very tasty. The sauce is a little sweet and next time I would probably ask for extra sauce. The cheese is nice and gives a good pull. The interior design of this place is on point. Lots of old classic Dallas landmark signs and tv's and some old school retro games to play as well. I imagine this place gets busy during the week with the schools nearby and on the weekends with games playing close as well. I was there on a Sunday afternoon and it was nice and quiet but alas no buffet which I'm positive is still exceptional. I will definitely be back.
