Really cute shop and good location. plenty of space too. Tried their sandwiches and matcha latte. They are good. I will comeback soon.

This location of the NY-based cafe is a large one that is near, but not on, the waterfront. There is plenty of opportunity to eat in, but I ordered out. I like that they do salads for breakfast and have clear dietary labeling; most French-ish places don't offer much in the way of vegetarian options. My bowl with quinoa and chickpeas had more sweet potatoes than I expected, but overall an interesting and nutritionally useful mix. Ordering a vegan carrot cake with streusel got me a bit of indulgence, and a hot chocolate with oat milk delivered on flavor but wasn't huge. And in general, you're getting a very New York portion to price ratio. But you can get some good stuff.

Okay, I get the hype! This place is good. It's tucked into a nice corner of Navy Yard. Parking can be a little tricky but not impossible. It has ample indoor and outdoor seating. I got the Katie Chicken Sandwich and a seasonal matcha. Both were yummy. I love the roasted red peppers and cherry tomatoes. The server checking me out was friendly and offered great suggestions!

Maman is absolutely incredible. The breakfast bowl is packed with food and incredibly filling, making it well worth the price. But the real standout is the chocolate pistachio croissant. It is insane and easily one of the best I have ever eaten. The service was solid overall. My only minor complaint is they ran out of clean silverware and had to give me plastic utensils to dine in. It is a small detail, but the food was so awesome that it completely made up for it.

Cute ambience. Service was pretty disappointing. Typical cafe where you order your food and they bring it to you. Lacked a lot of things though. Had to go up several times to ask them for utensils, napkins, condiments, and more water. They had water at a station but they keep running out or other customers take it to their table. Food was mediocre at best. The Belgian waffles could have been better if they put the strawberry paste on the side. My daughter described it as toothpaste because of the texture. Very thick, sweet, and minty. The grilled chicken was a few pieces of something rubbery that's overcooked. Extremely dry. Needs a warning for choking hazard. On the other hand, the home fries weren't so bad. Had more moisture than their grilled chicken. For the price you pay, I expected better quality. The best thing we've had from their menu was the cornbread latte and the lavender tea. I wouldn't go back there for food, but their drinks are something I would return for. Haven't had their pastries so the next time I will stop by, might pick up a few.

This is my second visit to the restaurant. My first experience was with their bakery goods and cookies, which were exceptionally tasty. I returned today specifically for brunch and was pleased to find a generous selection of vegan options. I truly wanted to leave a five-star review, as the quality of the food deserves even higher praise. However, I must deduct a star due to a safety concern. My soup bowl arrived with multiple chips and sharp edges, which made me uneasy about the possibility of encountering glass or other hazards while eating. I politely brought this to the attention of two times and was assured that a replacement would be provided, but unfortunately, it never arrived. After a third request--prompted by discovering a sharp, gritty object in the bowl--I asked to have the order remade to go. Thankfully, the kind staff member (Darwin) honored that request. But the soup came back cold. I ended up taking this home to eat later. While the food itself remains outstanding, attention to these details would elevate the overall experience to match the excellence of the kitchen.

Ambiance is really nice and it's a great place to work. I got the breakfast bowl, which was plenty filling. It's a simple bowl with egg, bacon, potatoes and arugula. Could probably hope for a little more seasoning but it was a hearty meal.

WOW, Maman was everything I was hoping for and more! I stopped by one late afternoon and was immediately impressed by the beautiful décor. The inside is stunning, dramatic in the best way with huge flowering tree installations and cozy seating that make it feel both elegant and welcoming. It is not too big or too small, just the right size for a coffee shop that feels lively but still comfortable. Some people were deep in conversation, others were focused on their laptops, and a few were simply sipping coffee and enjoying their downtime. No matter what you are looking to do, this is a great spot to do it. I ordered one of the fall drinks, which was good but a little heavy on the sugar. Next time I will probably go for a classic latte instead of the brown butter pumpkin option. I also tried one of their cookies, which was delicious but incredibly rich. I could only enjoy it in small bites. I think it was the nutty chocolate chip cookie, and while it was flavorful, it definitely leaned on the indulgent side. The staff was kind and welcoming, greeting me with smiles as soon as I walked in. Service was quick, and the energy in the space was friendly without feeling rushed. Parking was surprisingly easy, although that might have been because I came in the middle of the day on a Wednesday. Overall, I loved my experience and can see why Maman has such a strong following. The interior is gorgeous, the pastries are beautiful, and the atmosphere is perfect for catching up with a friend, getting some work done, or simply enjoying a quiet coffee moment. I will definitely be back next time for a latte and maybe to try one of their breakfast bowls or the smoked salmon salad that everyone seems to love.

My go to meal at Maman is the Wilde Smoked Salmon Salad w/ avocado on the side. It's the perfect balance of protein, and greens without being too filling for lunch. The big windows at this location provide for a lot of natural light which is helpful for working remotely or meeting with a friend. Great place to meet a friend for lunch and/or work remotely.

Definitely my favorite Maman location yet. Popped in on a Monday to work for a few hours and to grab some lunch. The Navy Yard location is spacious and super cute! I ordered several to-go items (cinnamon bun, s'mores cookie, classic choc. chip cookie, other choc. chip cookie and banana bread) and got the Katie's chicken salad and pineapple croissant cube for dine in. I was kind of surprised that the sandwich was sliced chicken. That's not really chicken salad. The pineapple croissant cube, while very good flavor, also was a little tough on the outside. I hope they keep making these though because wow, the inner cream was delicious! The s'mores cookie was definitely my favorite of the bunch. The banana bread was just ok. Everything else was also quite good. I do love Maman. I hope they expand to Virginia Beach

Came here to catch up with my friend over coffee & breakfast sandwiches while working remotely. This location isnt the best to me & I regret recommending it to my friend. We have struggled to connect to the internet since being here despite using the correct credentials. I asked for help & the employees were not helpful at all and seemed a bit nonchalant about it. We both ordered the maman breakfast sandwiches. It was meh to me. Very overpriced for an unfilling & underwhelming sandwich. Probably should've ordered the breakfast bowls. I didn't order any drinks because we were already frustrated at that point. If you want to somewhere to quietly do work & grab a bite, I do NOT recommend this place.

WOW. Maman was everything I was hoping for it to be...and more. First, the inside is super cute, not too big, but not too small. For a coffeeshop, i was expecting it to be cozy and it was...people were deep into conversation, others were focused on their computer, others were lazily sipping coffee and enjoying their off time. No matter what you're looking to do, this is a spot to do it. I enjoyed myself so much that I went 2 days in a row and wasn't disappointed. The Chai Latte is nothing special - very normal - but still good and tasty. For food, I enjoyed the omelet and potatoes, but I wasn't a huge fan of the cheese. Maybe it's an acquired taste, but next time i would substitute the cheese for something different or maybe just less since it was overpowering.

We also really appreciated the friendly service and staff members we came across during our time there. The first day I ordered an everything bagel with veggies and cream cheese -- I took out the bacon and the price of the sandwich decreased by $3. The second time I ordered an egg and cheese everything bagel with avocado and latke. The latke was just okay and didn't add much to my sandwich. The everything bagels were really good as well with plenty of seasoning but I think they were a little tougher for our taste (a perfect bagel would be crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, but the inside was a little tough and the outside wasn't crispy). For a coffee, two bagels, tax and tip, we paid about $32, so they are a bit on the pricier side. But the staff are very kind to the community. The place gets super busy around 9 am, so we learned to just order online the next time and our food was ready within 15 minutes.
