    Table-side Guacamole

So. This journey of eating my way through the places I've been has been hit or miss at times. But once in a while, you come across a place that absolutely blows your mind, and Mamazzita's was it. I'm talking everything was on point, from the ambiance of the place, the decor, the food, the service and the entertainment, all 100. If you want to have an amazing date night in Cabo or just eat at an amazing place with family and friends, add this spot to the list. Please. Now, the food. Complimentary Chicharron with Four Salsas and Cheese - A massive slab of fried Chicharron, with four different housemade salsas and cheese. A great alternative to the standard chips and salsa. Table side Guacamole - Always a must try for me at almost all Mexican restaurants, this Guac was fully prepared table-side from scratch. Fresh ingredients, ground and mashed in a molcajete, fresh just tastes better. Must order here. Octopus Ceviche in a Macha Sauce - One of my favorite dishes of the night, Fresh Octopus soaked in a bed of Chili Sauce, topped with fresh ingredients like Peppers, Cucumbers, Avocados and Toasted Corn. Damn!! Kurobuta (Berkshire) Cochinita Pibil - My favorite dish of the night, I always love ordering the Cochinta Pibil, it's super tender from the slow roast, always loaded up with massive flavor from the marinade, you can eat it straight up or taco style, it's just damn good. This came served with a side of Homemade Tortillas, but what was a neat, is it had Fresh Sprigs of Epazote cooked into them. Pretty dope and pretty damn good yo. Must order. Mushroom Sope a la Diabla - Another great order, the food was on point for real. Pan Seared Cremini and White Mushrooms, on top of a Blue Corn Sope, loaded up with Black Beans, Fresh Veggies, Chipotle and Guajillo Peppers and Crema. Smackalicious on the ridiculousis (or whatever). But shit. Amazing food. Octopus Huarache - I could stop there because that's a loaded title. Pulpo is definitely one of my favorites, prepared almost any way. This Huarache was loaded up with Fresh Octopus, Black Beans, Crema and Fresh Veggies and Cilantro. Major must order right here!! For real. Wind Fritters - The show stopper. You can always order a Churro, or Tres Leches, or Cheesecake at almost any Mexican restaurant. What you can't order is this dime piece of a dessert flam-torched on spot. Yoooo. You gotta try this at some point in your life haha. Cinnamon Churro Cakes loaded up with Dulce de Leche Ice Cream, topped with Fresh Raspberries, Caramelized Popcorn, Salted Caramel Syrup and Toasted Cinnamon Sugar, daaaaaaamn. Haha. Soooo good. Shit. I wish I could've brought some home. Again, if you make it here, don't skip this dish. Seriously. Check 'em out, I promise you won't be disappointed. Follow me on IG @The_Gifted_Gazstro

Fruit plate, fresh squeezed orange juice

I was staying at ME Cabo and this restaurant is inside the hotel, but open to the public. Since we were guests paid a little more to get the breakfast included in our stay. This included of chilaquiles (red or green sauce), pancakes, fresh fruit, and coffee, fresh juices, and/or water. Since we are vegan, we asked to get the chilaquiles without cheese and sour cream, fresh fruit, and juices. We tried the green, orange, and grapefruit juices; those are squeezed fresh. The green juice has celery, spinach, orange, and pineapple (from what I remember). We got the chilaquiles with the green tomatillo sauce. I asked if we could get some veggies as well since we didn't get the pancakes. They brought us a mix of mushrooms, cactus, onion, and carrots (I believe). On my last two days I asked for just mushrooms. The fruit starter consisted of pineapple, watermelon, and green and orange melon. Victor and this other younger waiter helped us and were super nice and attentive. Everyone here also a speaks decent English for the monolingual English speakers. The staff was courteous enough and asked for allergens right from the start of when they ask the guests what they would want to order. This place is on the priced side, but the inside is really really and has a great view. They are open again for dinner service.

Mamazzita is one of the very best restaurants in Cabo San Lucas and actually one of the better restaurants I have been to in a long time. We enjoyed it so much, we went there twice while in Cabo, and I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area. Very highly recommend this place. Here are my thoughts: Food: The food here is absolutely mouthwatering. Every single dish we had was perfectly prepared and exceptionally tasty. Top Food Picks: Wagyu Meatballs Barbacoa Tacos Tortilla Soup Spinach Salad with Goat Cheese Organic Chicken with Artisan Mole Barbacoa De Pueblo Petit Filet Atmosphere: The atmosphere at Mamazzita was just perfect. Very lively and fun, with just the right level of noise. It has a modern flare and is exceptionally well-maintained. You have a view of ME Cabo Hotel's beautiful pool, so it's just a pleasant experience overall. The best part is the entertainment. The first night we were there was on a Saturday night. They had a live DJ and he was marvelous. We actually got his name so we could follow him on SoundCloud. The second time we were there was during the week, and they had a live singer with dancers in the restaurant. They were wonderful and very talented. Then, out of nowhere, they put on a full-blown fireworks show, which was unexpected and really delightful. Service: I cannot say enough about the 5-star service we received here. Every single staff member was unbelievably warm, friendly, attentive, and professional. We were checked on several times throughout the meal and our waiter was really on top of everything.

Absolutely delicious! This is the best meal I've had in cabo so far. As a group, we had the tuna and barbacoa tacos, the branzino, the grilled octopus, lobster, seafood enchiladas and shrimp tacos. All of these were wonderful. The drinks were great and the service was fantastic! This restaurant will definitely be a regular on our list when we visit!

Chicharrón was good just had to turn on iPhone light to see it!!

The food was excellent. Definitely different from the standard tourist food you can find all over the beach and marina. The service although very friendly was a little strange. I think this place must be new. It felt like they're just figuring it out but we had a great time.

Food is delicious and well presented. Our server Germain is very friendly and recommends the best food they have.

Came with a huge group of 14. Enjoyed great service, cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. Something of note is they don't really have sides. Also if you order a steak, order it a level under or two of your desired temp. It comes out on a cast iron plate and continues to cook once it's in front of you. Tons of bonus points for the vibe...sparklers and fireworks make for an exciting environment. Oh and they have hookah.

We were warmly greeted by Miguel who let us pick our table. The ambiance is welcoming and warm with great views. We started with some beer and the Cadillac Margarita; the Margarita was presented beautifully and strongly poured. We also chose the Flaming cheese to start with as mentioned on the other Yelp reviews. We loved that and highly recommend it; the corn and chorizo were delicious! For our entrees we went with the Mexican Combo and the Surf n Turf. The Mexican Combo came with a Chicken Enchilada, Chile Relleno and Skirt Steak. The surf n turf had lobster tail, bacon-wrapped filet, mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. My boyfriend mentioned that he wasn't too fond of how the filet was cooked, but thankfully I enjoyed it while he preferred my skirt steak. We ordered the Flan and Churros for dessert and they didn't disappoint. The Churros came with chocolates caramel and marshmallow dipping sauces. I loved the marshmallow and my boyfriend loved the caramel. We stayed for a few hours and enjoyed some more shots and beverages while watching the sunset. Miguel and his staff were wonderful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at La Catrina. You should definitely make a stop here while in Cabo; the prices are more than reasonable and the service is exceptional!

Proper Mexican mole the kind built from dried chiles, nuts, seeds, and even a whisper of chocolate thick, dark, mysterious stuff that tastes like it took a committee of grandmothers three days to invent. I took one bite and nearly wrote home about it. Rich, smoky, a little sweet... the sort of sauce that makes a man pause mid-chew and reconsider every sauce he has ever trusted before. Then the tacos arrived, and that's when things got serious. These weren't tidy little tacos meant for polite company. No sir. These were the kind where the juice runs down your hands and you stop worrying about manners because flavor has taken command of the ship. La Lupita is known around Cabo for its creative tacos and massive mezcal selection, and judging by the crowd and the music humming through the place, folks already know the secret. The staff goes the extra mile with every little detail, and before long you realize you didn't just stop for tacos you discovered a whole new method of happiness, served on a tortilla.

The place itself does not have a high-end vibe or atmosphere, so the pricing just didn't match the experience at all. The service was nice, I'll give them that, but the food did not justify the cost. I've had way better tacos for way less. And trust me, I've had a lot of tacos in my lifetime. It honestly feels like this place is taking advantage of tourists with these prices.

But that was the end of the positive things as a swarm of flies quickly came to eat the food. Trying to swat them away helped a bit but there was way too many of them. I eventually flagged a waiter down, and he shrugged at the flies. A minute later some candle flame thing came out saying that it will help with the flies but already that was too late as flies were all over the food and I lost my appetite at that point. It was disgusting. I just got up and left. Went to cashier to pay my bill. The cashier also shrugged at my fly incident, and I asked how much it was going to be. Full price. No consideration about bad operating environment and since they knew about the fly issue they didnt setup before food was served to control it better. Even after bringing it up again in detail, she shrugged again. No sorry or anything, just a brush off. Then to make it even worse she asked if I wanted to tip the service. I was in there for a few minutes, staff didnt help quickly or even pre-empt the fly issue, and I'm being asked to pay full price. Sorry but no thanks. How did this place get on the Michelin list? Service poor. Environment poor. Zero or negative star rating for me.
