    Don't forget the mambo sauce!

This is one of my favorite spots to eat the family that owns the location is always courteous and makes everyone feel at home. Now the food, is beyond good and everything we've cried has been pretty amazing! If you are searching for a more authentic flavorful and unchain like experience, this is your spot!

Stopped by here yesterday afternoon for late lunch as I waited for my jeep to be serviced down the street. Upon entering, you are greeted and you can also pick out where to sit. I chose the bar area. I took a look at their menu and boy do they have plenty of Cuban dishes to offer. I went with the "ropa vieja" which is one of the many Cuban popular dishes. While I waited, I was given a basket with salsa and warm toasty bread. Soo good!!! 5/5 The "Ropa Vieja" plate came with lots of shredded beef stewed with onions and peppers in a light tomato sauce, white rice, and small plantains decorating. It was also served with a side of black beans. 5/5 Generous portions served--made to order and a beautiful presentation. I also ordered the red sangria to enjoy with my meal. The red sangria hit the spot since it was such a hot day, perfect way to cool down. I asked for a second glass. They have a small outdoor seating section as well but the vibes were inside. They are a busy establishment and I kept seeing to-go orders being picked up. I was very satisfied by the end and left happy as can be. Must come back again soon and try the croquetas next. Parking lot is quite small but they do have a few spots reserved for them. There is also plenty of street parking.

I have been to over 100 DDD spots and this was top 3. Everything was spectacular, even the white rice was garlicky and fantastic. I got a steak sandwich where the "bread" fried plantains. The Mahi appetizer with special sauce. On top of that the staff was so friendly, quick, accommodating. I felt very welcomed and seen. My girlfriend and out friend absolutely loved it, we all made those noises you cant help make when you eat great food. I cant wait to have the leftovers.

Ordered the Mambo Chicken meal and split it with my husband. Enough for two for a light dinner. Super tasty. Great people working here. Don't let the exterior fool you. It's nice inside!

Went on a weekend sat outside. Server was very sweet. We ordered the half chicken it was smaller portion than before. The sandwich had great thick french fries but the sandwich was soooo anemic! Bread with thin portion of barely there meat. Had to supplement by adding salsa. The comp bread and salsa was on point and chicken dish was very flavorful.

Chill vibe, came in to have dinner with my Mom. The restaurant is small but welcoming. My mom likes spot. I was pleased with my dish very tasty. The only complaint I have was the black beans they did not taste homemade. I did enjoy the yucca dish & avocado salad. I would return to try other options.

It's a small restaurant with good ambience and awesome customer service. We were welcomed as we first walked in and seated right away. They serve bread on the house. For food we ordered the plate of the day which was chicken with veggies, mambo chicken, steak sandwich, ropa vieja as main dishes. And for appetizers we ordered chicharrón de pollo and the trio which is 1 empana, 1 croqueta and 1 potato ball. They serve generous portions and the food is well seasoned. For the sandwich I opted to get a salad instead of the fries it was surprising to see a $3 extra charge and maybe it was on the menu but for the salad they put it's definitely not worth it- Get the fries. Also, don't forget to save space for dessert, the flan and the bread pudding were delicious! They also serve alcohol and the sangrias although I didn't order it, it seems it a must here as I saw other tables order it and it look delicious. I recommend this place.

Hours are wrong. Showed up before 6. Says it's open until 7 already closed. Blergh. Maybe the food is good. We will never know.

Everything is fresh and cooked to order. The service is friendly and quick and I appreciate that. I had the Reina con tajada arepa, and not only was it delicious, it's incredibly filling. The price point is definitely worth it and I will be back!

I normally order takeout online, which offers exclusive items such as an extra side with your arepa. You'll even find a secret menu on the website under the "More" tab. FOOD ORDERED The arepa plates were massive, with generous amounts of filling spilling out of the maize dough. I am moderately active and can't finish the plate in one sitting. I kind of wish there was an option to split the one gigantic arepa into two smaller ones! I liked that the arepa shell was not oily. The outer part of the grilled dough was crisp and dry, but the inside soft and creamy-ish. The shop's creamy orange and green sauces brought out the corn flavor and added moisture. I'm not sure what the sauces were, but they were good. The orange was slightly spicier than the green. - Reina con Tajada Arepa ($14.35 + $1.90 for Yucca fries side upgrade). Cold, creamy mayo-avocado chicken salad was topped with cilantro, more avocado, and two fried plantains. The taste was savory and satisfying. My only complaint was the price of nearly $2 for 3 sticks of fried yucca. But the yucca fries were thick like potato wedges and tasty: crispy, not too oily, starchy and fluffy yet chewy, lightly pressed with chili salt. - Vegetarian Pabellón Arepa ($14.35). Black beans with spices, diced tomato, two fried plantains, avocado, and white cheese. Hefty and tasty! The fried plantains were not too oily and offered some sweetness. Huge chunks of buttery ripe avocado tied the flavors together. I opted for two sides of salad, which tasted similar to a savory and lightly dressed cole slaw. The salad mix included shredded carrots, green and red cabbage, and diced tomato. - Pabellón Arepa ($14.95). Shredded beef, black beans, fried plantains, and white cheese. Omg, so good. The bite was juicy, umami, creamy, and a little sweet all at once. The stewed shredded beef had the same warm spice profile as the vegetarian version. - Caripe Empanada ($7.80). Ground beef with spices, fried plantain, and cheddar cheese filling. Nearly $8 for one empanada seemed pricy, but the size was more like two small empanadas put together. The filling was yummy, wrapped in a soft corn dough that was slightly crispy and lightly oily. - Yuca Frita Side ($6 - 5pcs). Five pieces! I thought the upgrade to yucca fries on the arepa plates were expensive until we ordered these! I guess I can't fault the restaurant though. The yucca plant is apparently so expensive that there is now a black market for it.

FAST Review Food:…read moreeh, it's called Cuban but the food was not really good. I ordered the Cuban breakfast and its fajitas doused in a massive amount of sauce and a side of refried beans. My friend ordered the standard breakfast, 2 eggs over easy, but were hard, hash browns were a McDonalds hash brown crisp soaked in oil. The only thing good that could be considered Cuban was the cafe con Leche, because the basic coffee was also not good. Atmosphere: the only other thing that was Cuban was the background music, which was great! Service: our waitress was very nice, friendly. Tip: don't come here for a Cuban breakfast, just the Cafe con Leche. To the owner, IMO it so much easier to make good Cuban food, why not just do that.

They also serve "regular" fair as well, standard breakfast items, eggs etc. It's great to see a generic "hotel restaurant" strike out and be different! The owners are great,, the service is relaxed (because they make everything right there), and the coffee is very strong!
