What a yummy place to eat. Located on a cute street in stanwood with lots of parking. There are 20 beers on tap and delicious burgers and fries. We ordered the burger salad with a side of fries and it was really food! Highly recommend if you're driving through and want a burger (or salad). Our server was also super nice! read more

Found this spot while passing through and it did not disappoint! I had the black & blue (added bacon) with tots, pops had the bacon my heart with Korean fries, and both were incredible. They took over the old Mexican restaurant in downtown Stanwood. They have grass fed beef. The burger is delicious. I also had their mushrooms which were excellent. The milkshake was very generous and delicious. Good service read more

If you want a great local burger with fresh bread and fresh ground beef daily go to The Baked Cafe. 1/2 the price and quality difference is noticeable. Plus at Baked your supporting someone who is not trying to gouge the locals pocket books. Sad to see some of these "local" restaurants charging more than Seattle's best restaurants all the while claiming they are locals and supporting the community. All they are doing is taking $$ from the community and putting $$ in there pockets. I totally understand that you have to make money to do business but this is Stanwood not Seattle. Always wanting to support the local business owner but this meal & experience was very disappointing. Three dinners, two of which were salads (the chintziest salads we've ever seen), I burger, 1 sweet potato fry, 1 fry & 1 milkshake.......$68 without tip. Yes, there was no tip given because we were virtually ignored the entire time we were there. We even had to ask for our fries and shake after our food arrived. I'm honestly surprised this place has lower rating so if you're reading and trying to decide if you want to try this place out or not, DO IT! It's worth it. We had some of the best burgers we've had in a while here. I ordered the Don't Go Bacon My Heart burger (add avocado) and my better half ordered the Black + Blue. Both were outstanding. Super fresh and flavorful. Possibly strange to notice but I was happy to see vibrant green lettuce on our burgers instead of dull, tasteless iceberg. Great portions. We were absolutely stuffed by the end of the meal. The fries were very reminiscent of Dick's' but much better -- not as greasy and a little more crunch. I also had the cauli bites as my side (YUM) and we tried the mushroom bites. These are THE best fried mushrooms I've had in the area, knocking Hidelburger in Leavenworth out of my #1 spot. Mammoth's batter is like fried-chicken batter and well-flavored. I'm assuming their ranch sauce is made in house and it has just the right amount of creamy, garlickiness. The perfect pairing! They also have a great selection of local brews available on tap. The only thing is, their chalkboard tap list at the bar hadn't been updated (which we were told about) but witnessed others ordering from the board and not the menu so people were some times not getting the actual beer they wanted. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The only thing I noticed was our fried oreos (which were fried with more of a delicious beignet batter) that we asked for to-go weren't fired until about 10 mins after we paid our bill. It was busy but I felt the other items we ordered came out more timely. I will say pricing is on the higher side. The burgers are 1/3lb patties from local, pasture-raised beef and $15.50. I think if pricing was closer to the $13-14 mark, it would improve the perceived value for customers. Regardless, we'll def make the 45-minute trip up to Stanwood to eat here again. read more

Unfortunately it seems this place has been getting worse and worse when it comes to the staff each time I give it another try... Tonight we ordered a fish sandwich and a burger for takeout, and the quoted pick up time was 45 minutes. Once getting to the restaurant and waiting for a time without the staff giving us any updates, we asked how much longer it'd be until our food was ready and we were told that it'd be another 20 minutes. They weren't able to match that quote either. In total it took close to one and a half hours for them to make a fish sandwich and a burger, which is a bit absurd. While yes they were rather busy, making us wait that long (especially being well past their originally quoted time) isn't okay. The burger was alright, and surprisingly the fries were kind of warm; however, the fish sandwich was full of inedible gristly pieces and the tater tots were ice cold... I really hope the management is able to find some competent staff to help stop this steady decline in food quality and service. We have wanted to try this place for a while now and finally we went. We will not be going back. First off, our food took over an hour! Yes, the place was busy but an hour is not acceptable. We ordered a burger, half salad and chicken strips plus two pops. The pops were ordered as coke and they were warm Shasta like taste. Ice machine they said was broken. The burger menu was really expensive ranging from about $16-$52. We thought, ok well it's a treat ourselves day so my husband got a $17 one. It was a good burger but the fry amt should have been a lot more for the price. Chicken strips were average as was the salad. $42 total. This is a lot to pay for this service. We were very disappointed. We will stick with Farmers cafe and Baked Cafe who costs less, tastes better and gives you more food. Finally stopped by to try the place out. I had the black n blue burger with extra blue cheese and a wheat beer made In Carson wa that had a hint of blueberries. Oh both were so gooood. And just to help you out a suggestion would be to have your beer colder. And keep your glasses cold.. other than that, I will be back. What a hidden gem. The food is delicious and the service was wonderful and fast! It caters to both vegan and meat eaters and the food is extremely fresh. A great surprise was a good selection of beers and ciders. I had the mission impossible burger with the crispy cauliflower. I highly recommend trying this if you are vegan or vegetarian. I couldn't believe the burger wasn't real meat and had to ask my husband to try it. My husband had the Smokin' Cowboy Burger and he was a big fan. The waitress was amazing and very friendly. I wish I could leave negative 50 star for this place. High end garbage. Normally my family and I wouldn't go here but I wanted to try it on Father's Day. I simply ordered a plain bacon cheeseburger and tater tots. My food took double the time they told me it would take, while that was going on I seen the cooks arguing. Got my food finally and my burger was obviously thrown together fast with all the fixing on it that I told the (spaced out waitresses) I didn't want. Definitely not a 18$ burger. I called and told waitresses my meal was wrong and her solution was for me to come back and get a desert........ I would have maybe if their deserts weren't high garbage as well. So I drove all the way back for full refund and they had a hard time even with that because they had no management. The morel to this is I think instead of a business owner trying to own half the town of Stanwood they should focus on making their existing businesses run smooth. The burgers are alot smaller"thinner" than i thought they would be. Fries are tasty. Ordered chicarrones parm n garlic, tasted vinegarish. Also ordered Onion peels but got onion rings, when asked the waitress she said they are the same thing. Then why does the appetizer list have one list for peels and other for rings?! The iced tea tasted like water, hardly any flavor in it. The mammoth sauce is tasty. The Staff is awesome, approachable and professional (not stuffy). Would have liked to try the food, the menu looked interesting, but no one except the poor server was wearing a mask, and every table but one was full. Even the cook chose not to wear a mask. I have been coming to this restaurant for a while now and decided to finally leave a review First of all, I keep hearing that they pride themselves in using all local food and alcohol supplies which is very cool to me. I usually order the "standard" burger which is continuously my favorite burger. They have a few other options as well but I like a simple burger. The patties are thick but in a perfect way so that you get a good amount of hamburger but not to the point where it feels like a slice of meatloaf between buns! (If that's your style try the "mammoth" burger! The quality and seasoning of the hamburger seems top shelf to me, it tastes so good. My orders are always perfectly cooked in my experience (not pink but not dry) Their fries are cut in house and their seasoning compliments them well, seems to be a in house recipe? They also offer tots as well that I like to get to mix it up every now and again. They also have 20 taps at the bar and offer a vast variety of craft beers and ciders on tap. I love trying all the new beers when they rotate their taps. They also have a handful of wines that they offer now too which is cool. There are reviews on here complaining about price which I don't understand why... the burgers with fries are 13-16 dollars which to me is fair for the quality and still practically the same price as surrounding places but I prefer to come here. Mammoth Burger - Burgers Near Me - Stanwood, Washington

Last week I finally had the chance to give Mammoth a try. As a huge mushroom fan, I was looking forward to the Drunken Mushroom burger and the deep friend mushrooms. The gal at the counter was friendly and greeted me right away which was nice given there were a few customer's ahead of me. The drunken mushroom burger was good. It wasn't great, for a burger that's supposed to have a lot of mushrooms, if there were four slices on it, I'd be surprised. I'd recommend you ask for extra mushrooms or you may be disappointed. The fried mushrooms were fantastic! I will definitely get these again. For the price, I'd expect a bigger portion but, they are yummy. The true test will be when I return with the family as my kids are particular about their burgers. read more
