I came here somewhat reluctantly because I feel there are enough burger places in the area, but it was pretty darn good. I had a great burger. My son had the fish and chips, made with real local fish, and they were by far the best fish and chips in the area. Fries were good as well. Small place, limited seating if you have kids, there is a bar area that has more seats if your kidless. You place your order and they bring it to you. Burgers were good, comes with a lot of hand cut fries. I am really glad to have a new restaurant with good beer in town. The burgers and fries were good but a little on the pricey side. The ingredients all seemed fresh and of good quality. We had a nice lunch and will be back for sure. I think my only hang up on this place is the price. I get that running a business is expensive, but for the price I would like to get a truly gourmet burger cooked medium rare with quality meat that stands on its own without having to resort to sauces and toppings. read more

I really enjoyed Mammoth burger. Mammoth burgers are juicy, tasty and the bun is wonderful. I especially like Mammoth Burgers because they use grass fed beef that is humanely raised. I checked. One has to pay a little bit more a for a burger; but you're getting quality. For a small extra charge one can get a salad instead of fries - good choice. I often have fresh vegetables with cheese on top or the mushroom burger is terrific. Nice works there too that makes a difference! read more

For a burger place, you think they would have good burgers. Mine was mediocre, nothing special and cost more than I think it was worth. I was hopeful for the fried cauliflower, my Mom made it well, this place made it bland, soggy and tasteless. Also the place opened before they even had a sign , didn't have a permit I was told. Great fries, but other than that I have to say it's very disappointing. The burgers average at best and are waaay over priced and they come to your table on a tray wrapped in a paper wrapper, not on a plate. So you basically slop the burger drippings all over the table in front of you and if you have to put it down for whatever reason, you lay it on the table ?? No sign out front so you can't even find it with out banging on doors and peaking in the windows? I live here and want it to be a special place to take my friends and visitors, but for the price you pay for two burgers ($37.00) and that doesn't include a beer, you can eat at any restaurant within 25 miles and have a great meal on an actual plate. Amazing burgers and I love how the vibe inside is. It really stands out from all the other places in Stanwood. Food is pricy but worth it. We ordered 2 burgers, one kids meal, and one fish and chips, fried cauliflower bites and three soft drinks and a beer and our total was around $85.00 before tip added. There's no waitress you order everything when you get there and take a number and find a table. They have a bar section with many different beer options. I would go back for sure. I want to try their Korean fries next! Oh they don't have normal onions.. just carmelized ones and if you ask for jalapeños on your burger... it's a whole grilled jalapeño so beware it's frickin hot lol read more

Food is good, if you get what you ordered. I ordered chicken wrap w no tomatoes, cauliflower and ranch. When I showed up and called the restaurant to pick up, nobody answered several times. I went in and they asked if I thought this was Jasmin. Finally got my food and it came with fries, bbq sauce, and tomatoes in the wrap. Maybe put some effort in! read more

The first time I ate at Mammoth burger I was shocked by the high prices and I considered leaving but I gave them a chance and I was happy I did. My burger was very juicy and the shoestring fries were excellent so I loojed forward to going back. Let me start with I sampled their burger from the farmers market before they opened this location . At the market it was hands down one of the best burgers I had ever had . Fast forward to this afternoon where the star count plummeted to one. It's hurts to do so. The 6 of us descended upon the place, sat down in the crowded place. The menu is simple nothing that makes you think that you'll have anything but a basic burger . The place is not cheap and the burger better scream amazing with every bite at $15 a pop. After a few minutes we decided what to order. Simple order 2 mushroom burgers 1 veggie burger, 1 avocado and 2 bacon burgers . 6 total . Ok paid yep table number , check and the wait..... the agonizing crazy how damn long can it take to get to the table? Well it took 56 minutes. Yes I understand that it is Glass Quest , yes I understand it is Saturday , yes I know it is 1:00 pm and so do they . This place could have doubled the staff and had cut the wait time in half. That's how restaurants in the real world work.... holidays, Mother's Day , Fourth of July and every other reason a restaurant gets slammed. Two waitress types , one who had the hard task of figuring out what table to deliver the right number of items too. Asking separate tables if they had ordered shakes? Burgers? Wow chaos adding to more customers inside outside two missing ....Anyway the fries came separate from burgers , 2 of the 6 fries were cold, yuck, greasy and salty, no thanks. Someone needs fry lessons , lightly salted crispy outside moist interior. When you need 5 napkins just for removing fry grease we are in trouble. Now for the burger review, I wish I could say that the burger I had during the last week of the farmers market was the one I had hoped to be raving about today, but sadly I can say that is not the case. I would have taken it back but the wait was so long already , my bacon was not cooked to a crispy place that once you bit into the bacon and burger you'd have a magical combo of bacon and burger, instead you had half cooked full length slippery bacon pulling out of the whole bun burger thing. I pulled the bacon out of my mouth praying no one saw, piled it on to the now grease soaked paper burger wrapper. I was so hungry I did the best I could finishing it off. The sad fries remained in their paper basket of grease. I tried to locate more napkins which were out, apparently I was not the only person needing more that a normal person would need. I'm not sure what the crunchy bits in my burger was , I'm assuming it was bacon ( or hoping it was ) now for the avocado burger, I'm not a fan so hubby was happy to know it would be something I'd not be sneaking a bite from. His words were not kind, gross greasy and nasty.... I thought maybe because the avocado was past it's prime....but to my horror he said the opposite he said it wasn't close to ready, it was hard and crunchy . I wanted so much to love this place. Stanwood is so needing a great burger joint, but sadly this is not it. My stomach did flip flops all the way home. Usually I'm furious about wasting great money on bad food. Now I'm just mystified why it's so hard to lock down great food. I love their recycle system they have but clearly that's the only thing that is outstanding. We found this place by accident, loved it and will definitely head back over from Whidbey! The black and bleu burger had a great flavor and even though it was cooked well (I'm a rare gal!) it was still juicy and tender. The fries were all perfectly seasoned and the perfect texture and my husband said the fried mushrooms were delicious! They had a huge selection of beers- I think we were the only customers who didn't have beer I see a few reviews about the prices being high, but honestly I don't think $13 for a good burger and a giant heap of fries is bad at all! Only thing we didn't care for was the lack of space/seating- we sat at the large community style table and it got pretty loud once it filled up with folks and their beers, made it a little hard to eat with a stranger's elbow in our food. We both had two different burgers and we thought they were wonderful. Lots of flavor, juicy and nice. The deep fried cauliflower was outstanding. The french fries were hand cut and were good but could've been a bit crispier. But not complaining :-) overall we can't wait to go back. Went in on a Saturday with my family about 4pm after a football game at the Jr. high school in town. There was not one table clean that would fit the 5 of us. We probably waited close to 5 minutes for our seat while the tables were cleaned and the floor was swept. We were informed that they had just gotten slammed and the parties that were there had just left. I'll give them that one, it happens. It took a few minutes for us to get wait service w/ drinks. We ordered and the food came out in a satisfactory time. We asked for ketchup and were given a practically empty bottle. My son was the only one to get ketchup. I was able to snag the waitress fairly quick and asked for a new bottle and some mayo for my mother in law. She took the bottle and I assumed would be right back. Nope, she stoped at the POS and started to punch in an order or something while we are waiting for condiments to start eating our meal. It was to the point I felt the need to grab some ketchup on my own which I try not to do. But.... cold fries and tot's suck. Fries and tots were good. The fries are twice cooked with a coating of some sort. The burger I ate was really good and juicy. My wife had no complaints about her chicken burger. The kids loved their chicken strips and my mother in law looked to enjoy her burger. All and all not a horrible visit good food for sure, service needs help, could have been a number of things though. If I'm in the area again and want a burger I'll give them a second chance. I'm not a drinker but it looked like they had a good selection of local beer. read more

Great new restaurant in town! So happy to have a fun yummy new place to go have a fantastic meal close to home. My burger was cooked and seasoned perfectly. My mouth is watering thinking about it. Loved the classic pub bun too. I hate it when half the burger is bun and way too chewy. I don't need to have jaw problems after eating a burger. The ingredients were all high quality, local and fresh. The fries are hand cut and delicious, just the right amount of salt too. I eat way more then I should have. I also loved that you could get a sample tray of different drinks. I love getting to taste new drinks, but I'm a light weight so don't get very far normally, Lol! Stanwood has very few, if any, good places to eat. We were a little tentative, but it far exceeded our expectations. There aren't a lot of tables, and we ended up at the community table. We aren't huge eaters, so ordered the special, to split. With the fries, which are included, it was more than enough. Service was great, and it is a nice, relaxed, atmosphere. Was a nice option for date night, and the prices are super reasonable. We will be back! read more

Way overpriced for a burger and non edible fries.... A salad is $15 for a pile of lettuce that was suppose to be a Black and Blue but couldn't find the blue cheese. I was here a few weeks ago. The service was excellent. The waitress seemed to anticipate any needs I had and was quite pleasant. The hamburger was good. I ordered a black and blue burger, which comes with fries. I know they pride themselves on their fries but I am afraid that is what lost them half a star. They were too crispy for me but the main problem was the amount of salt. Oh my, they were overly salty. The serving was more than generous but I quite literally had to wipe the salt off of each fry. If I go back I will definitely ask for no salt on them. Or maybe I need to switch it for the cauliflower. The other half of a star was lost because of the price. A hamburger and coke should not cost $20. Then when you factor in a tip you are pushing $25. Maybe some lower cost items would be helpful. read more

To be honest, I was half disappointed and half delighted. I personally think it was expensive for the whole experience, but I'm not here to tell you not to go, I'm just reviewing my experience. There was no greeting when we came in, we were handed menus expecting to know how it worked, and were told to sit anywhere. The seats have no cushion and they're hard, this is just an observation. I have no butt, so I left there with a bruised ass. We didn't know we were supposed to get up and order at the register after we were told to sit so we waited. And waited. It wasn't until we saw another table get up and order that we followed suit. We ordered: The standard burger, House Salad, the fried Cauliflower bites and 2 sodas. It was a bit spendy at $32 +tip for $40 lunch. The standard burger DOES come with cheese, which another angry reviewer would have noticed had they actually read the description on the menu. Anyway, our burger (13+ tax) came wrapped up in paper but it didn't come in a basket or anything, and it was messy with all the juices from the burger so I felt bad that it just dropped all over the table. It was a burger. It was ok. Good. It wasn't AMAZING, but it was just fine. The fries that came with it were decent, except we must have got the bottom of the bag because all of our pieces were 1/2 inch or less in size. Lots of crumbs and bits, a few actual pieces. The House Salad ($9+ tax) was your standard bowl of lettuce (maybe it's bagged, maybe someone haphazardly chopped it), some olives, a pinch of shredded cheese, two wedges of almost ripe tomatoes, dressing on the side. For what it was, it wasn't worth it all . I would recommend just ordering the half size at $5 or skipping it all together, save your money for a better item. Heck, order one of the main salads, but seriously, not the house salad. The fried cauliflower side ($8.50 +tax)... that was great. Order that. They were light and tasty. I bet the fried mushrooms are just as good, if not better. If we went back I, personally, would skip the burgers and salads and order a side of fried cauliflower and a side of fried mushrooms.
