We came here for a quick dinner on our way out of Camano Island. It has a nice location in Stanwood and a nostalgic feel inside, with good seating options for families and smaller parties. The food was very excellent. A bit pricy but the taste reflected the price, at least for me anyway. The only thing holding this back from a perfect 5 stars would be the service. Our waitress was great, but we ordered two sandwiches with a side and it took about an hour for them to be ready. It was not at all a packed house, so we didn't fully comprehend the wait time. It drove my boyfriend, a lead chef on a line, absolutely up the wall. Next time we'd probably order takeout to avoid this wait time in restaurant. Our Chicken Bacon Avocado was missing bacon and barely had any avocado, and both our sweet potato fries and onion rings were over-fried and a good amount even burnt. This is a nice small town hamburger places. Everyone was really nice when you entered. They sat you right away too. They have lots of beers to choose from and the menu had a good variety to choose from. My husband and I split a hamburger since I wasn't that hungry and they were super nice to do that for us. Waited 30-40 minutes to receive the two burgers we ordered. (Didn't check my watch for an official start time, as I don't usually wonder how long it's been since putting in an order.) The fries were a touch over cooked and skinnier than I prefer but were still good. I ended up paying $20 with a coke and tip which is a bit more expensive than I feel a burger place should be but they do seat you and serve you which I felt was probably overkill for a place like this. It took a bit to get seated, but was worth the wait. They had the best beer batter fish and chips I have tasted in a long time. Kayla our server, all though super busy was friendly and cheerful. She made sure our drinks were never empty. We were checked in on by the kitchen manager, Jared. Making sure everything was cooked as we requested.
