They offer delicious fries and a small dill pickle which was interesting. I ended up getting one for my wife as well. We got drinks to go which were fun but all in all I was just kind of shocked. Plus they don't hook you up with utensils or napkins and I had to ask for Ketchup. Had a good experience when I came here last year for night of lights so we decided to come here for a second time. This time our waiter was rude, portion sizes were much smaller and we were all still kinda hungry after eating. We started off with oysters which were fresh and reasonably priced. Mammoth tavern is great, one of my favorite restaurants in town. It has a fantastic happy hour selection, drinks are always good, the food is great, and they always have delicious specials. I get the French onion soup every time I'm there, it's definitely a must have. Service is always quick and the service are friendly and attentive- I always leave feeling like I've made a new buddy. The hamburgers are great but in my experience the customer service is not. Every time we visit Mammoth we are always looking forward to get their burgers and we always order to go. The first time we went we thought perhaps the person taking the order was having a bad day, and we got there to pick up the food and we could get anyone to pay attention to us. My review is based on the rude waitress that served us last night. She made smart remarks when we asked her questions, we asked if she could accomodate us by turning the portable air unit off because it was directly blowing in our faces. Arrived with a group of 10 people for a friends birthday. We waited an hour and they never disclosed we couldn't sit together so when we took our seats, the two tables were about 4 feet apart and they could not accommodate us with moving the tables closer. I had a terrible experience. My wife and I got dessert and ended up some glass with it the cup had a quit a sizable chip my wife pulled a large piece of glass out of her mouth. We brought this to the manager's attention the manager did not care at all. All she did was offer a free dessert that had the glass in it and two drinks. She had no concern for her health and basically did nothing for us. Never coming back here again. We were nice about it and didn't want to make a scene but thinking now we should have definitely made a scene, that's unacceptable. came here in a party of 4 at around 5PM. we were told that wait would be around 30-40 mins but ended up getting seated in 20. the main reason we came here because we thought this would be a restaurant/sports bar where there would be TVs all around the restaurants. we wanted to watch the NBA playoff game. but they only have 2 TVs and both are on the side of the bar. so if you're facing away from bar then you wont be able to watch anything pretty much. our parties started off with some beers and they weren't bad. i forgot what we got. but i think i got the lager and the blonde. both were local beers Mountain Rambler and Shelter i think? we ordered a couple of appetizers (pretzel and brussels) and we also got the clam chowder (special), short rib sandwich, tavern burger, chicken parmesan, and onion rings. the pasta on the chicken parmesan was a tad bland. other than that, everything was pretty decent. service was not bad. but i the guy had too many tables to serve so the level of attention was a little under but it was not big deal. we understand that he was busy. overall, it was a decent dining experience. returning is definitely a possibility. read more

Stared with Warm Spinach Artichoke Jalapeno Dip and Shrimp Ceviche. Both were flavorful with good portion sizes. For dinner I had the Blackened Ahi Tuna with some wonderful garnishing under it. The first bite was a bit fishy but every bit after that was wonderful. Had the nightly special icecream desert that was awesome.
