This is one of two restaurants available at the Mammoth Mountain resort so we knew we'd end up here eventually. We tried the other restaurant the night before and were rather disappointed with the food and the service, but... we could not have been more happier with our experience here at The Yodeler!! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the interior has a lovely mountain Alps design with many food items to match. We both enjoyed our meals very much and wished to the other restaurant would've measured up to this one. I would definitely suggest coming here and trying one of the fun Alps inspired menu items they offer. I will be returning when next in the area!

My boyfriend and I came here 3 minutes before closing and they made us feel soooooooo welcomed! I will never get over how amazing the service is here. Also, the ambiance is so fun for families with the minigolf! We didn't have any food, but I'm willing to bet it's amazing because everything is so intentional here. You'll love it! Griffin is amazing btw!

Great service and delish food! We usually go for the huge pretzel (which is so good) but this time we mixed it up and got the Sausage Hunter's Platter! This was so good. The sausage was tasty and not overly greasy. The pretzel bread was warm and fresh! The sides were perfect. Of course, the beer was great! We wanted to sit outside, but there were no umbrellas up unfortunately, and it was such a warm sunny day!

The ambiance and service was wonderful. However I didn't care for the food much. The vinaigrette was a little too vinegar heavy. They had a selection of wines and beers. I asked for wings and they didn't have any. I proceeded to ask for a wine, they also didn't have that wine in stock. So, just be mindful that smaller towns don't always have the same commodities as larger cities.

This place is an experience! It's fun to stop by for lunch or apres after skiing on the slopes. It is on the pricier side but we had to try it. The pretzel was huge! The fondue was a bit small, so I would pass on this next time. The restaurant is super cute inside and I love the beer. The staff are really nice and attentive.

The only food place we could find open at the base of the mountain besides the gift shop with its stale pizza. The food was good and service was great, though portions were on the smaller side.

Food and drinks were great. Only bummed about the price for this ginger ale. $5 for a dollar store soda can that came half empty like it was used at the bar

We love the new additions to the menu but our favorite part of the meal was our server, Daneil! His joy was contagious and he made our thanksgiving so much more special!! Thank you Daneil for being so attentive, and making our family trip extra joyful!! Don't forget to order the delicious duck fat fries, giant pretzel, and pulled pork grilled cheese!!!

We walked in and were immediately greeted and escorted to our table. The hostess was very friendly. Our sever Monica was very attentive and professional. She immediately brought us water, bread and butter. The bread was served with warm and it was very tasty. We ordered two dirty martinis. They were served properly and were delicious. For dinner we decided to order the Bauernschmaus German Sampler for two - Pork and veal schnitzel, kassler ripchen, smoked bratwurst and Polish sausage, potato pancakes, spaetzle, red cabbage and sauerkraut. $82. It was very good. There was plenty of food and we even took home leftovers. We will visit again next time we are in mammoth.

Parking was plentiful, even on a packed weekend, which was a huge plus. When we arrived, I chose outdoor seating because the whole setup had a nice aesthetic and was perfect for the vibe. Ordering through the QR code was super easy and straightforward. I ordered the BBQ pizza, onion rings, pretzel bites, and chicken tenders. Everything was really good! The onion rings were definitely the highlight for me. They had this super crisp texture that I honestly haven't experienced with onion rings before. The pizza was also good, and the cheese sauce was so yummy and added a lot of flavor. The pretzel bites were a little too salty for my liking because of the thick layer of salt, but once I brushed some of it off, they were actually really good. The chicken tenders were solid too and came out crispy and tasty. I also really appreciated that the service was more hands off. Sometimes you just want to sit down, eat, and enjoy your time without someone constantly checking on you, and this was exactly that. Everything was easy, relaxed, and enjoyable. Anywho, definitely a spot I'd recommend checking out! I'd come back just for those onion rings.

The food is decent, it's never going to absolutely wow you but it will be sufficient and well priced. This time I tried their mac and cheese, it was cheesy and I liked the type of pasta noodle they used that allowed it to get extra crispy and crunchy with the spiral texture, however it was a little dry and on the blander side for mac! The ordering system is great and straightforward, you order and pay on your phone and then food appears straight to your table! Genius, convenient and perfect for groups as there's no splitting the bill awkwardly at the end. And the dog friendliness is so clutch, our pups always enjoy the sunshine and rest. Really great spot I would recommend in a sea of terrible touristy Mammoth dining establishments.

Ravioli Bolognese: The standout dish. Rich, meaty, satisfying, and exactly the kind of homemade pasta dish that makes this place worth visiting. Pepperoni Pizza: Excellent crust, good char, and crispy pepperoni cups. Simple and really well executed. This is genuinely good pizza, not just good pizza for a mountain town. Caesar: One of the more unusual Caesars I've had. It arrived with essentially whole heads of lettuce, celery, and a homemade crunchy component that reminded us of a savory funnel cake. The homemade dressing was excellent. Different, fun to share, and memorable. Pasta: This is where Vulcania really shines. Everything tastes homemade, and I'd be comfortable ordering just about any pasta on the menu. Chicken Parmesan: Pretty good overall, with a creamy, rich sauce over the top. It was a little too heavy for me, but everyone else at the table loved it. Meatball: I would skip this dish. The meatball was undercooked and felt like it was lacking a binding ingredient. One thing worth knowing is that the kitchen isn't particularly flexible about modifying dishes. That makes sense for a chef-driven restaurant, but it's worth considering if you have picky eaters or prefer lots of substitutions. Overall, Vulcania is still the best pizza and pasta we've had in Mammoth. The handmade pasta is the real draw, the pizza is excellent, and dishes like the Caesar give the menu enough personality to make it more interesting than standard Italian-American food.

I called and inquired about a few things and when we arrived, we were told a different story. Long story short, use OpenTable to make your reservations and avoid the headache. Outside Pods- If you're interested in sitting in the pods outside, it's an additional $50-100 (depending on the day) and can fit 6-8 people. We had several kids in our party and they enjoyed the novelty of it. Our waiter Cam was great and made up for the poor service with the host. He had great recommendations as all were spot on. Cam recommended "family style" as many of the entrees are large and it gives you a chance to sample everything. We started with the asparagus summer rolls and tricolore salad. Both were delicious and refreshing. For the entrees we shared the cacio e pepe, margherita pizza, orechiette nero and chicken parmesan. Again, everything was excellent. For dessert, the gelato comes with three huge scoops along with three zeppoles (Italian donuts). The food was excellent and probably one of my new favorites in Mammoth.
