Went in for a Yelp event and had a really nice time :) Food was delicious and fresh, the view is gorgeous on the second floor of Ward overlooking the other shops and a peek at the sky. Drinks were fantastic and servers were super nice! Looking forward to returning!

Went here during the Yelp passport event, it was busier than normal and I frequent the bar across the way more but I've always been curious about Mana + Pua! Bartenders were nice and attentive even with a rush. Outdoor ambience was 10/10!

We came on a short staffed day. Very cute open air set up. The server was wonderful! But, food came out painfully slow. I was the only one of the group who was truly happy with my meal. They didn't have an italian wine pairing. So, I got their signature old fashioned... it was delish!

Had been excited to try this place for the first time. The Brussels sprouts were the highlight of our meal. The caprese was also pretty good, light and fresh. The krab and shrimp roll was pretty disappointing. Didn't catch that it was "krab" we like imitation crab mixed into things but it was just big chunks of the imitation crab with a few shrimp and some celery. We got lemon cheesecake for dessert that was... unlike any lemon cheesecake either of us have ever had. The crust was different but it was good. The filling was thick, had a very different texture, and didn't taste much like lemon. It wasn't necessarily bad but if you're expecting a lemon cheesecake that wasn't the usual kine. We even asked our server what was in it because it tasted so different / unique, he was a bit condescending and said it's like any lemon cheesecake with cream cheese filling.

Absolutely love the layout and design of this place! The vibe is so nice. Even though it was super packed, the bartenders were incredibly sweet, attentive, and lovely. We tried the poke and wonton dish (poke nachos) and it was seriously so ono! Definitely coming back

Dined here a few times and came for drinks. The outdoor atmosphere is beautiful and inviting but it gets a little hot during lunchtime since there's no AC you are at the mercy of tradewinds. They have a full bar, expect the 18$/cocktail range. We recently had the Caesar salad with seared ahi, smoked fish spread and Pappardelle Bolognese and crab and shrimp sandwich. I think my favorite was the Bolognese the pasta was perfectly cooked and flavor was delicious with a little kick. The service was excellent and I did appreciate that the server let us know that the crab in the crab and shrimp sandwich was imitation crab and not fresh. Great service, good food and great place to check out with friends or a date.

Visited Mana + Pua for a birthday celebration for my birthday. Congenitally located on the second floor of SALT located in Kakaako. What stood out to me was the atmosphere, decorations, and the vibe of the place. It gave a great outdoor chill hangout mood with great food. I ended up having the Pappardelle Bolognese which was beautifully plated. It tasted great, I just wish I could have more! I wish the service was a little more attentive as we had to ask for water multiple times. When asked about deserts for my brother the server stated I think we have one scoop of tiramisu left Overall it was a nice evening, good food, and great vibe.

The world food tour duo stopped in at Mana + Pua on the second floor of SALT. It's a very open space, like a covered lanai. We arrived a little early and, being the first diners of the evening, had our choice of tables. We chose a table for two along the rail, nearest the bar. We were overlooking Vein and The Boiling Crab. We felt like cocktails instead of a bottle of wine. We wanted gin & tonics, but I didn't see our preferred gins. They had two Mexican gins from Condesa, so I asked for one made with the Condesa London Extra Dry ($20) and another with Tanqueray ($20). The Mexican gin was nice .... A new gin to add to my home bar. We started with the Duck Fat Frites ($14) and the Antipasti Kau Kau Board ($50). The fries were sprinkled with dill, which is kind of weird (to me, who doesn't like dill). The antipasti board was a work of art and was enough for four people. A large board was covered with five pieces of sourdough toast, a sweetish red pepper dip, slices of zucchini, wedges of gold and red beets, cherry tomatoes, green and black olives, prosciutto, salami, pieces of red onion and carrots, and wedges of kabocha with black skin. We boxed the leftovers and ordered our entrees. We ordered the Pappardelle Bolognese ($30), Mushroom Ricotta Ravioli ($30), and Fire-Kissed Brussels ($10). The ravioli and blistered cherry tomatoes sat in a portobello cream sauce ... It was fine but I wished for a bit more mushroom flavor. The pappardelle were excellent, if a bit spicy. There was a chili crunch which added zing to the dish. The brussels sprouts was fine; we thought balsamic would have added to the overall flavoring. The restaurant wasn't very busy and service was leisurely. We saw empty tables at many venues. My fellow foodie was at SALT the night before and she said every place was packed. I think Mana + Pua is fine but the format is more suited for those looking for drinks and small plates versus those of us looking for more entrée options. Rating: 4.

The food was outstanding! I have been eyeing out their Happy Hour Menu for quite some time because of Instagram so I kinda had high hopes and let me tell you they did not disappoint. The SKORCHED TAKO ($15) was my favorite, the outside had a little bit crunchy bits when bite into it while the meat inside was nice and tender. I loved the sauce, it had just the right amount of heat and kick to it that worked perfectly without overpowering it. The CAESAR SALAD ($8) was awesome! Just the right size, perfect to satisfy and enjoy while leaving you with enough room to try other bar bites on the menu. The service was outstanding! I knew that it wouldn't be a typical service and that at times I knew I would have to wait because there was a huge event going on at the same time but I wanted to eat here anyway (that's how good they were). The staff didn't an excellent job in explaining the dishes that I was contemplating trying.

Yay! Thank you for participating Yelp event! Passport, Loved poke and tequila drink!! Friendly service! Loved open air ambience! We extended to try their happy hour menu. Mussel with fries so good!

Sunday Brunch in Kaka'ako, Honolulu, Hawai'i... My niece is open-minded about where to eat and let me select our next dining adventure. I told her that I've been to Mana + Pua in Haleiwa, but not Mana + Pua at SALT. Since metered street parking is free on Sundays, I suggested that we go to this new location. She agreed. Located on the upper level of SALT, Mana + Pua is across from Pitch Sports Bar. The restroom is downstairs, so plan accordingly and get the code for the door from the staff. Note that this is an outdoor dining spot with no air-conditioning. We saw a bird hopping around; a fly passing by; ceiling fans that weren't effective; and our empty water bottle. The water was room temperature anyway. Shucks. Service was alright. When I was asked how I wanted my egg done, I replied, "Hard boiled", and it threw our server off. She wasn't sure if it could be done. Eventually, my salad arrived with a sliced hard boiled egg... perfect! There was even a tiny, crunchy piece of egg shell... LOL! Very authentic! The croissant platter was beautiful! The croissants were on the heavy side. We enjoyed the chocolate ganache, strawberry jam, sea salt whipped butter, and fresh fruits that were included. The breeze blew the powdered sugar across the table... haha! My Anahulu Salad was wonderful with pesto, Arugula, tomato jam, croutons, and pecrino. I really appreciated the sliced hard boiled egg! The ambiance was a bit noisy with two groups of lively customers. The bar area looked lively with other small groups of customers. We just felt like we needed air-conditioning and iced water!

To my surprise, the head of the shrimp was on the shrimp thrown right onto my salad greens. I tried to separate them as I do not like the head and had I known, I would have never ordered it. I've been coming to Island Vintage for many many years almost weekly. I get the Mona kea next door and açaí typically. It's been a year since I got the shrimp salad. This WAS NOT the salad I have ordered for the past 11yrs. I was there with friends and something poked a part of the back of my throat area that I could not remove in public so I ended up taking it to go so I could see what was hurting my throat.. After spending 10 min just peeling the shrimp and removing the head with the parts all in my salad, I put the shrimp to the side and took a couple bites of the salad. A piece of the antenna or something poked into the back of my throat and was stuck, I couldn't finish my food till I got to my room after taking out what was stuck! We told the waiter and he said it's not the first time people have complained about it since they began putting the head attached and that the restaurant hasn't listened. So I suggested telling management myself to help the cause. The manager came over and was very nice! He thanked me for letting him know and that he didn't know it was ever served without the head. He said he's was new there..That was interesting to me since if you look at all the photos and reviews here, it's clearly without the head! He offered to take it away but I wasn't trying to get a refund. I wanted to eat it when I got to my room after removing what poked my throat and was stuck because I couldn't swallow and was afraid to. Plus I hadn't eaten any of the shrimp. My hands were filthy trying to get the head off. I got the bill and went along my way. I got to my room and once I cleared my throat I went through the salad and took a bite of the shrimp which I threw all 4 away after taking one bite. For one it was mushy which scared me and 2, it WAS NOT the shrimp that usually comes with this salad. They took the garlic butter shrimp they offer on their menu and threw it on my salad instead of the usual shrimp which had a different flavor that I loved for many years. My salad was supposed to have 4 large shrimps, if you look at my photo with just the shrimp left, and no head, those are medium and had garlic and butter all over them. Like saucy! Whatever it was it was not fresh! And it was NOT the shrimp they have always served this salad with. The shrimp this salad is served with usually is almost like a grilled butterfly large shrimp with this delicious flavor that almost tastes like it had saffron in it. Not a saucy garlic butter which is usually served as their garlic shrimp. And why would you put all the heads on and throw it on a bed of greens that could puncture someone's throat? Had I known in the restaurant that they threw on garlic shrimp on my salad, I would have returned it! In all my years coming to Island Vintage I've never experienced the shrimp salad like this. Waiter was fantastic and sweet! Manager should have taken initiative and shown more concern that my throat was punctured and I couldn't finish my food there..but again he was very nice..I should have agreed to a refund! Sorry ..my review is all over the place..and poorly written..I'm just super upset and just don't feel this matter was taken seriously.. I could have choked and my throat was punctured with part of the head or something in it.

I on the other hand had asked for a non-alcoholic option. Unfortunately, they ran out of ginger beer, all the sparkler options, and didn't serve any soda. The bartender looked pretty irritated by that point, and didn't even provide me with a glass of water. The smoked ahi with lavosh. So flavorful and fresh, with that smoky richness balanced by the crisp lavosh. It felt light but still packed with taste -- a perfect contrast to the heavier fried stuff. Honestly, everything hit. Great mix of indulgent and fresh, and I'd order this exact combo again without hesitation.

We stopped in during their happy hour from 3-5 PM, and it immediately stood out as an ideal after-work pau hana or easy date-night spot. The space is relaxed and inviting, with a calm, tucked-away feel that makes you forget you're inside a hotel. The happy hour menu is impressively priced, with starters beginning at just $6, yet everything feels thoughtfully prepared and elevated. Highlights included the toasted bread with sun-dried tomato pistou -- warm, crisp toast paired with a deeply savory, herbaceous spread that's simple but incredibly satisfying. The mini poke bowl was fresh and well-balanced, showcasing clean flavors and quality fish without being overly heavy. The fish tacos delivered exactly what you want: crispy island fish, bright flavors, and a great balance of texture. We also tried the fish and chips, featuring lightly fried island fish, hot fries, and a creamy house remoulade that tied the dish together beautifully. The standout for us was the empanadas -- flaky, crisp pastry filled with tender braised beef and potato, finished with a bold aji rojo sauce that added just the right amount of depth and gentle heat. Service was friendly and attentive without feeling rushed, and the overall vibe made it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. Whether you're looking for a low-key happy hour, a casual date spot, or a place to unwind after work, this is a hidden gem worth seeking out. Review 33 (2026) We…read morelove El Cielo. This was the third time to come and eat. The first time we came, we didn't know what to order for Spain Foods. I have no idea of any menu. We ordered Seafood Paella, Mushrooms appetizer. The second time we added different menu. Seafood Paella, added Shrimp Ajillo with fresh homemade bread, Arugula beets salad. The third time ( this time ) we added another different menu. The more we come, the more we can try new menu and enjoy new tastes. Honestly El Cielo, all menu we tried even wine and draft beers, were top class, I love to nominate as the best restaurant in Hawaii. I am so glad I found the great restaurant, I was seeking for. Prices were not bad, as inflation everything costs are so expensive nowadays. Everywhere!! Their services are great too. If I live close by I would go El Cielo once or twice a week. Thank you so much. I will love to come back soon again.

First time going to el Cielo, and it did not disappoint!…read more The food was great - most of the menu appears to be tapas style appetizers, so we got a bunch as well as a paella dish. Our favorites were the paella - it was lemony, bright, and had a generous amount of meat. The empanadas were also delicious and came with a homemade chimichurri sauce. We got these butterfish fritters (can't remember their name, oops) that came with a saffron aioli. The chicken liver mousse was tasty as well. While the pan con tomate was good, we got the plain one, and should have gotten it with ham! A lot of the food is served with airy, light, crusty homemade baguettes. The wine list is nice, mostly wines from Spain! I tried the Albarino and it was delicious. It is located on Lewers street, and has some nice iron wrought gates. We opted to sit on their outdoor patio, which had a lovely fountain and vibe going. Parking is kinda tricky - there's a lot in the back of the restaurant but it was full for us, so we street parked.

And came in right when they opened. Had to wait a little while they set up but they quickly took our drink order and started making them. Our bartender was super friendly and kind. I recommend. Would come again if in the area and looking for drinks and some food. If the rest of their menu is as wonderful as the escargot, this place is a gem.

Walking in I do love the slight dimly lit vibe as it gives me the feeling of relaxation and escape though it's not dark but just a calmness as we were taken to our table the staff is very nice and welcoming. Their menu offerings as I enjoyed a unique twist like Crostini Al Porcini which is a crostini topped with mozzarella and mushrooms was a fresh bite as some of the arugula that is topped off gave it a nice bite. The Rib Eye steak which I still dream about which we asked to be sliced for us was done perfectly and the Demi sauce was very delicate yet so flavorful and what a hearty bite along with our Caesar salad a classic that you just can't go wrong. I've also had the Puttanesca which was delicious as the linguine cooked just right scooped up all the sauce and yes this was two different nights but enjoyed just a wonderfully as I'm so grateful to have thoughtful friends I'm so thankful for, thank you Terry K and Nadine C as Mezzo was a wonderful place to escape. Cheers my friends as I'm beyond happy for these moments as hearty and amazing as the food is here so are the memories. Thank you!

As a group, we decided that we wanted something delicious yet fulfilling so we decided on pasta. We narrowed it down to Appetito Craft Pizza & Wine Bar which was a six minute walk from the hotel that we were staying at. Upon arrival, we had a short wait time and were lead to inside to a private room, very cozy and spacious for our group. As the menu offer many options to choose from, we ordered two pizzas, one chicken, one lasagna, five pastas and two appetizers. The food was delicious and flavorful, very fulfilling. Was expecting something very mediocre prior to arrival but was blown by the kind and attentive staff members, the delicious meal, and lovely ambiance. Would definitely recommend and would come back in the future. Would highly recommend!

The flavors and textures were exactly as you'd expect if you'd have ordered it somewhere in Italy. When I crave pizza, this is the kind I'm dreaming of. So five stars on the food. So the not so great... I was seated right away (good) but dining solo, they asked me if I minded being seated at the upper bar. I didn't want to hog a whole four-top table being a single diner so I acquiesced with a promise someone would be right there to take my order. That didn't happen. For a long time. Finally the manager noticed, took pity on my starving and thirsty soul and took my order. She made sure everything came out and that I had eats and drinks. If not for her, it'd have been 35 full minutes before "my server" ever showed up. UNSAT. 1 star to said server (Adam?). 4 stars for manager finally noticing and taking pity. Located in a busy corner of Kuhio Ave and Ka'iulani Ave in the heart of Waikiki, the place is easy to find and has a nice open space to enjoy your meal. Pro tip: If you're dining alone, you may want to request a regular table rather than the upper bar area, as service there appeared inconsistent during my visit.
