I wouldn't recommend Manchesters if you are looking for a relatively speedy lunch. The customer service was just ok, nothing to rave about. They were speedy to get my drink and order which seemed promising. But when it cam time for my food to come out... boy did I wait. I thought they may have had to kill the chicken themselves. But then I tasted it. The chicken was dry and had little to no flavor despite being advertised as "cajun". The fries where over cooked and bland. I sure did get my check quickly though. My waiter removed my dirty plate fast too (big pet peeve for me is a dirty plate in front of me) To sum this all up, I'm not sure I will be visiting Manchesters again. I'll just go two doors down to Subway and get a sandwich. read more

Nice little pub-type establishment with all of the normal food you would expect. Burgers, sandwiches, and pizza constitute the vast majority of the menu. Both tabletop and booths are available, and they have a rather decent sized bar area located in the center of the restaurant. I visited on a slow Monday evening. Service was excellent. I have not tried Manchester's Grill. However I was born in Chicago and the fact that it boasts "Chicago style" and is described as good but not "Chicago style" simply because it is thin and crispy is a huge misconception that some people have about what it means to be "Chicago Style" when it comes to pizza. In fact "Chicago Style" can take more than one form. The two most popular is deep dish with butter crust or thin and crispy sometimes with butter crust. Think deep dish from Gino's East or Lou Malnati's which offers both a thin crust and deep dish "Chicago style" pizza. If you don't believe me go to their (Lou Malnati's) website and order one that they will ship to you almost anywhere. I think the term "Chicago Style" let's you know that is quite different from "New York Style" pizza. I have had both from the source and I agree they are nothing alike. That being said , I now have to order a pizza from Manchester's to see or better yet taste how well they have created "Chicago Style" thin and crispy. I will then come back and review the authenticity. Update: This is the closest thing to "Chicago Style" thin and crispy crust I have had anywhere outside of the Chicago staple go to pizza establishments. My only criticisms are that the box the pizza came in did not keep my pizza hot after the 13 minute car ride home. Also, I like to taste more Italian spices on the pizza but I just sprinkled my own Italian blend on top and viola, taste perfection. Finally, the crust was perfectly crispy but didn't have that butter crust flavor that I crave in ALL my "Chicago Style" pizzas. Still a solid substitute for a pseudo taste of home to me. I can as a proclaimed pizza snob definitely recommend the pizza at Manchester's and I will be back. Almost turned around to get another one lol! read more

There is a reason this place is packed every night...it is a tremendous value. Their fish specials on Friday nights are as good as several higher end restaurants in the area. I have celiac disease and cannot have gluten and they have been very accommodating....they even have Omission GF beer. The staff are super friendly and attentive. I love this place. We have had great (friendly and attentive) service 5 out of 6 visits, which is pretty consistent, but the food has been wonderful every single time. My husband and I usually split a medium rare burger as an appetizer and it has always been cooked to perfection, juicy and fatty (in a good way) and the fries are delicious. I just ate here with my mom and siblings and it was phenomenal! I got the Greek Salad and added grilled chicken - YUM! All of the veggies were delicious, whatever the chicken was seasoned with was bomb, and it was tossed in the perfect amount of dressing. The wait staff are very attentive to their customers and even with large groups they keep your drinks full and the food all comes out together in short order. There is a very nice fully stocked bar with a number of popular draft beers on tap along with a full selection of mixer drinks. Garbage. Almost everything on the menu is pre-made and frozen. There is no chef on staff. The microwave is the most important member in the kitchen. The secret ingredient for everything is powdered ranch dressing. Lucky to have the health score they do, without a serve safe certified employee. Not too bad, not the greatest. I had the fish sandwich off the daily specials menu. It was over cooked, dark brown on the outside and very dry on the inside. Not inedible though. The service was much better than your average corner bar. Our server Naomi was super pleasant and let me customize a blackened chicken Sammy with pico and avocado (toppings from the burger special). She also let me add the tortilla soup as my side. I appreciate a server who lets me get what I reallllly want when nothing is really speaking to me.
