    Metal shaving found in food.
    Mare L.

Food is generally really tasty. My partner had an odd time picking up our food last night. Got an alert that the food was ready and when he got there, it wasn't ready for another 15 or more minutes. Fine. But when I went to eat my vegetables and tofu the next day (today), I found a metal shaving in the dish. Just keep an eye on what you're eating from here.

My cousin and I were visiting Santa Monica for a week. We ordered from this restaurant 3 DAYS IN A ROW! The food WAS SOO GOOD that we had to come back. The customer service was incredible as well. We were greeted with the upmost kindness! We felt right at home. We ordered the sesame chicken, lo mein, and shrimp shumai, and crab rangoon. & got exactly that everytime. BEST SESAME CHICKEN I EVER HADDDD!

This restaurant is close to our place and has become a go-to when we want inexpensive and quick Chinese. It's not premium quality, but not bad and the price can't be beat.

Mandarin Chinese & Japanese was really nice low key spot on pico. The people inside were really nice and patient and did a good job of recommending some things. It gave off an authentic Chinese restaurant except you can't eat in. The orange crispy shrimp was really awesome the sauce and texture was amazing. It gave off an orange chicken feel but it was shrimp and I enjoyed it a lot. Would definitely recommend. The sweet and sour chicken was good but it definitely could have been seasoned a bit more. The sauce does a good job at carrying the meal itself. The Cream cheese wontons are always great every where they same applies here really solid. /5

I was actually quite impressed by this place. It's a very unassuming place located off of Pico in Santa Monica. It's located near a donut shop and laundromat. If I ever have another craving for Chinese food, this will be my pick! Here's the rundown: Park: ample Service: very friendly and quick Price: slightly cheaper than what I've seen; however, be aware that no entrees come with rice. You have to purchase rice separately but we ordered a large for $1.95 to share Taste: very good! I was also impressed they didn't skimp on the protein! We got a good amount of protein and vegetables! Also nothing was greasy.

I had a very late night craving for some Chinese food and found this family business on Yelp! They were about to close in less than 30 minutes but were super kind to take our order for pick up. Much to our surprise the food was incredibly delicious! I paid for a water which I forgot to grab and this morning no questions asked they told me it was forgotten and I went back to grab it. I ordered the Orange beef, shrimp rice for my friend and a chicken with string beans. Absolutely delicious and so much food! Free parking on the lot.

We are new to the area by way of NYC! My daughter has been missing NYC and so sad we haven't food places that she really likes yet. It's been tough! She dislikes PE and so happy we found this spot! I saw it driving by and thought we could give it a try. It is a take out only place and the service was so friendly. Food was a good salt level and not too oily like most. It took them 10-15 mins to cook up our order. It was tasty and reminded us of that familiar feeling of home (NYC). We ordered: Beef Lomein - we love our noodles! Chicken Fried Rice - perfectly cooked rice and texture was on point Sweet and Sour Pork - this was good and not so salty, came with pineapples, onions and peppers. It comes with the red sweet and sour sauce to pour on your own. Egg Flower Soup (Egg Drop) - this was nice and light not thick/starchy like other take out places. Crispy noodles are our favorite to add. Almond Cookies - have always loved these since I was young. They came as a pack of 10 individually wrapped. Fortune cookies are always a plus! Well, we will be back! Thank you!

Ordered delivery multiple times. Very fast and delicious. Highly recommend the lo mein noodles, eggplant, ma po tofu, walnut shrimp and green beans.

Good ratio of crispy-chewy chunky flavorful bacon pieces to fluffy egg in this fat burrito. We added avocado & they did not skimp on hunks of perfectly ripe creaminess. Chewy tortilla, grilled so it was toasty on parts on the outside. We didn't get the honey chipotle aioli inside, we got it on the side & then ended up using ketchup instead. But honestly I don't even think I needed ketchup - my just burrito bites were perfect on their own. We'll be back for this again for sure!

The concept was founded by three UCLA alumni and they started as a backyard burrito pop-up in late 2023. Currently Sobuneh has a location at The Colony (a ghost kitchen that serves over 15 businesses) and a new standalone location in West Hollywood. [Parking]: Metered parking or paid public parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood. There is a small parking lot behind the building, but it is mostly reserved for food delivery drivers. [Ordering]: Visitors can order via the kiosk at The Colony or place an online order ahead of time. I went with the second option and my order was ready for pickup in less than 10 minutes. [Atmosphere] The Colony has an outdoor patio area with tables or customers can sit at the limited indoor tables with a TV playing ESPN. [Menu]: All breakfast burritos are served with a choice of cilantro-lime aioli or honey chipotle aioli on the side. Specialty drinks, espresso, matcha, cold brew, tea, and refreshers are only served at the West Hollywood location. This spot serves only four types of breakfast burritos: The Sig (beef chorizo), The BB (beef bacon), The Cali (steak), and The Veg. *** The Sig (pasture-raised organic eggs, beef chorizo, cheddar, avocado, tater tots, black beans, honey chipotle aioli, and cilantro-lime aioli served with pickled onions - Honey Chipotle Aioli, $18): For an $18 breakfast burrito, the portion was smaller than I expected and I was able to finish the entire whole burrito in 5 minutes. The burrito itself tasted mediocre and the flavor was not exactly on point (not sure why a breakfast burrito needs black beans and pickled onions). The honey chipotle sauce was a bit overpowering to the point that it masked the burrito's flavor itself (not that there was much flavor to begin with). *** Personally I would rather order a breakfast burrito from Bad-Aaa Breakfast Burritos (part of Dog Haus) than from here. At least Bad-Aaa Breakfast Burritos has a larger portion, tastes slightly better, and is less expensive. For anyone who really wants to try the hype, maybe stick with The Cali as it doesn't have black beans and pickled onions.
