Hands down delicious. I got the bacon wrapped medallions with a side salad. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted. I'm so bummed I didn't take a picture! Always wonderful, Manderes is a top notch restaurant with amazing food and service. They are always busy and the staff is terrific. The special seafood stuffed portobello mushroom is delicious! I came here the other day for lunch and was not very pleased with service or the food. Service 3 stars. No one was at the hostess stand. 3 workers (servers/bussers) see us standing by the hostess stand but decided to ignore us. The manager, didn't greet us, but from the other side of the room he asked, "how many people?" and told us to sit at a table. It wouldn't have bothered me but I noticed he was super welcoming to the older Caucasian customers. It could have been an age thing or a race thing or maybe I'm being sensitive but common sense for all managers is treat all your customers the same... I will give credit to our server, she was very friendly, made sure our drinks were full, checked up on us periodically & brought the food out in a timely manner. Food 3 stars. I had read some Yelp reviews before I came to eat here. I already had in mind what I wanted to eat but a lot of the good entrees are only offered during dinner time (after 5pm). We ordered crab cakes for appetizer. I didn't like the texture of the crab cakes, no crisp on the outside layer and the sauce was overwhelming the crab cakes. For our entrees we ordered bulgogi sandwich & steak salad. The taste of the bulgogi sandwich was blah. The meat and the dipping sauce lacked flavor. The steak salad was pretty good, I liked the red wine vinaigrette dressing & the meat was cooked perfectly. For dessert we ordered fried cheesecake with ice cream, the cheesecake tasted like it was store bought. Overall the food was just okay. If I'm in Folsom after 5pm, I might try this place again only because the dinner entrees look really good. read more

Amazing spot tucked away in a small lil strip mall in Folsom. Kinda hard to find from the outside which is fine cause this place is special and local. No need for window ads, no need for advertising. The food, drinks, curation of great beers and Whiskeys all speak for themselves, quality for people that know the difference. They have true signature drink and food items that are unique to them, always a great time. It is a bit small and gets filled up due to popularity with locals. read more

First time here and we were pleasantly pleased with food and service. Nice selection of appetizers. The manager personally took our drink orders and had a nice demeanor. Throughly enjoyed the Calamari and Chicken wraps. Calamari had a perfect combination of crunch and tenderness and a good wasabi dressing on the side. Chicken wraps also had the wasabi dressing drizzled atop the chicken. Delish! Entrees included Hoagie sandwich, Asian Chicken salad, Hot Pastrami and Butternut Squash Ravioli. Nothing at all to complain about and loved the atmosphere. Cozy place with memorabilia of rock guitars signed by the members of the bands. Ok so first time here. Solid 4.5 stars. We had to wait about 40 minutes for a table. We ordered drinks while waiting, bar tender didn't take my card HE JUST TRUSTED ME... staff are very laid back and very nice. We started off with wine and beer our apps were onion ring and oysters Rockefeller OMG THEY ARE AMAZING.. do yourself a favor and order them. I ordered the chicken ravioli and the girlfriend ordered the Korean BBQ dinner platter. The only draw back of mine was the color (see photo) the taste was amazing but if you can get past the color it's all good. The GF's food wasn't cooked all the sam and the marinade was stronger in other pieces than some. But it was still awesome. Hers came with a cucumber kimchee that was out of this world. The portions were enormous. In the end, after the wait and "off puts" of the food this place was worth it all. You owe yourself a night out to this place. Also if you like beer I will be adding a section at the end of my reviews for just the beers. This time I tried the "grimberger" apparently this is the only place you can get it. Ate here for the first time today for lunch... hubs had the Bulgogi Hoagie. Said it was REALLY good. I had the chicken wraps appetizer and it was delicious! Beer and wine options were fairly limited, but they have some good choices. We were just finishing our meal when our server walked by with an amazing looking dessert, so low and behold, we tried it and the lemon berry Mascarpone cake with vanilla bean ice cream and lemon caramel sauce was INSANELY good!! Haven't been here in a long time, but came for HH on a Friday night. I was happy to find on our tab that wine by the glass was 20% off, and as another said the pours were hefty! The HH beers seemed to be $4.25 from the tap. We had two apps, fried asparagus (YUM) and onion rings. Both were your good typical fried food. Six beers, two glasses of wine and two apps - $59. Not too bad. The server was perfect timewise, and friendly and we were able to get a table easily at 5:00. I only ask that they put their HH menu on their website. read more
