    Lobster Ravioli

We visited Manhatta on a Saturday for my birthday and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant is located on the 60th floor of 28 Liberty Street and offers breathtaking views of Lower Manhattan, the Statue of Liberty, Staten Island, and New York Harbor. Before our table was ready, we waited in the lounge area and enjoyed the incredible views. A thoughtful touch was the personalized birthday note waiting on our table when we arrived, which made the occasion feel extra special. The atmosphere was elegant but welcoming, and it was interesting to see that many other guests were also celebrating birthdays and special occasions there. We came for lunch and ordered the two-course lunch menu. To start, we had the "Beef Tartare" and "Fluke Crudo", followed by the "Grilled Sea Bass", "Dry-Aged Burger", and "Lobster Ravioli" for our mains. For dessert, we enjoyed the "Coconut Mousse" and paired the meal with red wine and the "Land of the Sun" cocktail. The restaurant has an excellent selection of red, white, and sparkling wines. The service was friendly and attentive without ever making us feel rushed.. We took our time, enjoyed the food, the drinks, and the stunning views, making it a memorable birthday celebration.

They seated us right at a window, and honestly that alone made the night. The view was unreal! We got to enjoy a beautiful meal with the skyline glowing at daytime, a pink sunset, and lit up at nighttime all in one sitting. It felt like three different atmospheres without ever leaving the table. Service was polite, attentive, and never rushed. Every dish looked like art, with beautiful plating and balanced flavors.

first of all, the positive. The service is spectacular. Flawless. From the minute you walk through the downstairs all the way through the dinner we have a three course. The sweet meats were good, but very busy. The scallops were pretty good. I would not say spectacular. I had the beef which was good. The squash was a little bit too much on the acidic side. I had one of the red wines which was lacking body, and the Manhatta I would definitely pass on. had this bitter taste, which was not pleasant. The lobster was pretty good. But much too busy a dish which overwhelmed the lobster. The chocolate mousse was OK not very chocolatey, but the lemon dessert was very good. The views were spectacular and as I said, the service really made the day.

As I begin to pen this particular Yelp up for those who see my images and words, I have to admit that my experience didn't come from being an actual patron of the restaurant/bar but as someone on an assignment that found me working there for the night. Manhatta sits on the 60th Floor of 28 Liberty Street and when you walk into the place this is a very comfortable lounge to use should you be waiting for additional members of your party. Once upstairs the patrons can enjoy a panoramic view of the city and while it looks pretty cool during the day, in the evening this is simply magnificent and reminds you just how amazing NYC is. I only saw one section of the city based on where I was doing the work but it was so cool. Now the reason I decided to offer up some Yelping was based on the restaurant feeding the folks who were working. They served up a couple of different salads, a fish dish, a chicken dish and some potatoes. I had one of the salads, the chicken and the potatoes and since I am weird on fish dishes I left that for my co-workers. Needless to say this was some tasty stuff and my compliments to the chef. I was happy to be able to have seconds :) The facilities were great, super clean and spacious with private stalls that completely closed you in for extra privacy. While I don't mind the other types of them, these are very nice to experience every once in awhile. There was also a complimentary WiFi signal to use during the stay and that allows you to quickly share highlight moments with your friends or social media followers without using your own data resources. Based on the menu prices that I saw this is a pricy dining experience but its a classy one with good food and great views. The staff seemed very friendly which is always nice to observe but if you do pay them a visit try to do it in the evening when the view is spectacular.

Such an amazing dining experience in NYC! I booked this place for my dad's birthday and they kindly gave us a window seat with a stunning Manhattan skyline view. For around $78, you get a three-course lunch, incredible views from the 60th floor, and great service--honestly better value than most observation decks. The food was consistently good with no misses, and the atmosphere felt calm and local, not touristy at all. Perfect spot if you want to enjoy the skyline without the crowds.

I absolutely love Manhatta! It's charming, classy, romantic, and the food is delicious. Recently with the good weather in New York we've been getting into rooftop/high elevation dining experience. This restaurant lounge is situation on the 60th floor in the FiDi area. They start with a coat check on the first floor before welcoming you to the 60th floor. There is a bar area to sit at to wait for your table if it's not ready yet. They offer a lunch course menu, a bit more affordable compared to the dinner course menu. If you want to order a la carte, that's only from the bar area seating with is first come first serve. We got a reservation for lunch to do a celebration and they even wrote congratulations on the post card displayed on our table. While windows seatings are never guaranteed, when we came around 2pm on a weekend it wasn't completely packed and most groups were able to be seated near a window. From the 3 course menu food we ordered: - beef tartare - fluke crudo - sea bass with mussels - Berkshire pork neck - cheese plater - millefeuille Everything was delicious and tasted really fresh. I'm usually not a raw meat person but the beef tartare was prepared so well I couldn't resist! I love the rice crunch paired with the green sauce, it was irresistible. I don't know why but I was obsessed with the grilled okra in the Berkshire pork neck entree. Something about the combinations - the flavorful dry spice with the perfect smoky charcoal grilled complex - unforgettable. (I love my vegetables) The dishes were not only all mouthwatering but also pleasing to the eyes. I would highly recommend this place! The service was also excellent. It's the perfect place for a date or even celebrating something with family and friends. I also saw someone came by themselves just to enjoy the skyline view in peace.

Run don't walk to try Rebecca Choi's dessert menu at Manhatta. We had some ice cream with honey and all of the components were just magical together. The entire meal was lovely and the service and view are incredible.

Great restaurant in the financial district. The downstairs coat check and check in was very organized and easy. Beautiful views and great lounge and dining area. There was a bit of a wait to be seated but it didn't take too long. We went for restaurant week and really enjoyed the food. The burrata dish was pretty yummy. I did feel like it was missing something and I didn't quite see how the olive crumble fit with the dish. The burger was absolutely delicious although was definitely cooked more than a medium rare. However it was super juicy and I loved it so I can't complain. The campfire mousse dessert was so yummy. For some it may be too sweet but I loved it. Service throughout was great. Would definitely recommend for a panoramic dinner experience at a reasonable price. Food was also pretty good.

Really love everything about Manhatta. The food , the drinks, the views are simply spectacular. The service is excellent. I have been four times now and it's always a hit. Never had a bad meal or a bad cocktail. Worth it just to go to the bar have a drink and take all the views.

    Shirley W.

Great ambiance, would be a cute date spot with the nice views! My friend and I did the the 4 course meal. I ordered the burrata, octopus, duck, and the an Asian toast dessert. Everything tasted great overall, but wasn't a huge fan of the thick breading on the octopus. Dinner took almost 3 hours, which felt a bit long, but service was attentive the whole time.

Service is impeccable. They treat you like a VIP from the moment you enter the door. The food comes out a great pace with complimentary chef bites and freshly baked bread in between. I'd encourage you to try things you normally wouldn't, because each dish has an interesting twist. The chef table is fun as you get to see each dish being prepared. And the best view of the city that you'll find!

I came here for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely amazing. we checked in at the lobby and there's complementary coat check. We went upstairs and the hand off was super smooth. They remembered it was my sister's birthday and she multiple people wished her happy birthday throughout the night. I really appreciated that and it made it that much more special The staff was amazing and had the best recommendations. We loved our food. I got to catch up with my sister, and we never felt rushed at all. It was such a lovely experience. The view is also spectacular. I would recommend this for a special occasion.

Is there chiefs tasting menu enough food?

    I dint know

Can you see the sunset from this restaurant?

    When are you officially open?

How much money should I budget for the restaurant?

That's a good question, Fairriana. The budget depends on what you're trying to have. For weekend brunch, perhaps around $70; but for dinner $100 should suffice. That is outside tax and tips. I also recommend bringing your camera. The view from up… Read more

Just out of curiosity, is there an age limit? I saw many different types of drinks on the menu, curious if you have to be 21+ to eat here.

No age limit to eat there. Dress nicely and bring plenty of $$$$$$.

How long does it usually take to finish their prix fixe dinner? thanks in advance

About 90 mins to two hours but they are SO accommodating so if you need to be in and out faster, just let them know!

    Is a reservation required?

No, a reservation is not required, but it's best to have one during popular times. Reservations can be made through the Manhatta webpage 30 days in advance. They also have two bars where they serve the same menu. Enjoy!

I'm traveling with my 5 year old daughter, would it be okay to take her with me here for lunch?

It will depend on your daughters taste buds and if she likes the food they have, they do not have a children's menu.

Do you need to reserve a spot at the bar, or can you just walk in? Especially asking for Saturday on valentine days weekend.

Yes, you can just walk in to snag a spot at the bar! It does tend to get busy during peak hours, but there are several tables as well as a separate lounge area with couch seating.

    Wouldn't find dress code anywhere?

There's no dress code, but it's a special occasion restaurant. I wore a sports coat without a tie. The women I was with dressed nicely. Don't be that person in a tracksuit.

Do i have to make a reservation to just eat here?

I believe they accept walk-ins but for a prime hour dinner, reservation is a must.

Where is the best window seat in the house?

There's no real "bad seat" as you can see the view from nearly everywhere and there are binoculars dispersed throughout the restaurant. You can ask for a table next to a window though.

The restaurant looks amazing. Considering booking a table for lunch, as a surprise for me and my boyfriend, but is there also a pre-fix lunch menu or is it just for dinner? Kind regres

For lunch I saw a menu For dinner - prefix Enjoy!

Can you go for drinks at the bar only or is a food reservation required?

Yes you can. I recently went and was told by the young woman working the coat check that you are free to go up simply for drinks but its best to get there around 2:00 pm in order to get a spot and order from the kitchen that opens up at 2:30 pm.

What is the proper attire for this restaurant?

Most people are dressed 'business casual' and up - but I saw people in jeans, so it varies

    Do They accepts walkings? Thanks

Yes, they do. Reservations are easily placed through the Resy app, though

Does the bar face the windows? I'm eating alone on a Monday 6 pm- think I could get a nice table then instead?

Hi Cathi, We do have some bar seats that are very close to the windows and all of them face the window.… Read more

The ambiance feels straight of the golden age, which is an aesthetic I'm certainly a sucker for. Even their robust cocktail menu fits the bill and is one of the prettiest menus I've ever had the joy of perusing. Staff was able to sit us a little bit ahead of our reservation which was also much appreciated. Wait staff was also very helpful and attentive, I don't think I've ever had my water glass so topped off! Starting off with cocktails, this place is a gin bar through and through and you'd be making a mistake if you didn't try one of their many options. I went with the 10,000 words, which you simply just give a spirit of your choice (I picked gin of course) and whether you antes) wanted your drink shaken or stirred and the bartender does the rest, so a bit of a surprise! I wound up with their version of The Last Word which was delightfully citrusy but I was hoping I'd wind up with something a little more adventurous app things considered. My girlfriend got the blackberry G&T, which was not only very pleasing to look at but delicious to boot. For food, we started with splitting some zucchini blossoms and beef cheek bao buns (both come in portions of 3). Both were tasty, but I love a good bao bun and these were so light and pillowy, I could have just went for an order of those for my main course. For the entree I went for the roasted half chicken, perhaps the most unassuming choice on the menu but this was maybe the best roast chicken I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, cooked to perfection, excellent portion size, and the kicker of it all was the stunning gravy that I was tempted to lick my plate for. Chicken is very easy to screw up, and they nailed it on all fronts here. My girlfriend went for the Valerie Signature burger with white cheddar and this thing did not mess around! A very rich patty, cooked to her temperature of choice served alongside some garlic truffle fries that made an American classic feel just a little more elevated. Our experience was delightful and I'd love to comeback here again, especially to check out more of the cocktail menu and soak in more of that golden age aura the place gives.

My sister loved that the poached eggs and smoked salmon of the Nova Benny came on top of a crispy potato latke. The pancakes were fluffy and the lemon ricotta and lemon zest elevated their flavor. Our server was friendly and attentive, and he asked us if we had any allergies when he took our order. He came by several times to check on us and refill water. I would return to Friedman's when I'm in the Herald Square area, or check out one of their other locations in the city.

The Benedict was so delicious. I've never had it on a crispy hash brown type before. It was good and a massive portion. Mac and cheese was alright, though I would probably opt out of it next time. I was so full I totally forgot to drink my latte but the latte was good too. Ambiance was nice clean and very busy.

Went to Zou Zou's for a little bday celebration with gfs and had a great time. Not to mention,…read morethere was such a sweet little bday care when we got to the table. So thoughtful, and such a great touch to start the evening for us. We decided to order the family style menu and we enjoyed the whole dinner. All of the dishes on the menu were really good and great price for $74pp. I wish we had a 4th in our party so we couldve had the duck, but we'll definitely be returning to do so. The dips were so good and so fresh! I think all of the dishes were perfectly seasoned. I get sad when dishes are overly seasoned or overly salty. Oh, and im not much of a sweet tooth, but their dessert was marvelous and the sweetness was balanced so nicely.

The cheese is on the lighter side and the textural combination is nice, sort of like a baklava cheesecake but crispier and lighter. I like heavier cheesecakes though. Drinks: golden negroni was spot on, but didn't like the sangria. They had a medjool cocktail that went off the menu to my disappointment. Appetizers: the octopus carpaccio was the best and I'd order again. The tuna tartare was a little too heavy on the sauce flavor, and the golden beets were unmemorable. The yellowtail was good I think, but didn't stand out either. Mains: the duck borek has more of a sausage like meat texture. I thought it was decent but the meat being duck didn't do much and I've had better boreks in Astoria. It comes with a vegetable side that is a nice offset. I tried a friend's lamb chops and this was really good with the cooked cherries.
