For the record, I haven't eaten bagels in probably six years (literally), so take my review with a grain of salt. Even if Manhattan Bagel is a chain, they do have a pretty solid selection of bagels. Dozen bagels ($9.99): Great deal with plenty of different flavors to choose from. I don't remember everything but I know the following are available: Plain, whole wheat, everything, pumpernickel, cinnamon raisin, blueberry, sesame, poppy, onion, egg, egg everything, chocolate chip, whole wheat multi-grain, whole wheat everything, salt, jalapeno cheddar, garlic, cheddar, rye, asiago, and super cinnamon. I won't comment on each bagel, but all of them had a good chewiness to them. Nova Lox on an Everything bagel ($8.49): This bagel has lox, onions, tomatoes, cream cheese, and capers. My bagel was toasted perfectly, so each bite had a great crunch to it. The lady making my sandwich was also super generous with the lox, so kudos to her! Their cream cheese here is good; light and not too tangy like many major brands. Everyone here is friendly, and I definitely appreciated the help I received while ordering. Their app is horrible. Hashbrowns is not a option only under breakfast sandwiches you can place a order for one. If you order a bagel with butter there is no option for a hash brown. Cute little spot. Literally it's really small. Went on a Saturday it was pretty packed. We ordered a french toast bagel with cream cheese, a cheddar and lox and a plain with cream cheese and bacon. Bagels were soft all around, I personally prefer the outside to be a bit crisp from being toasted. We also got some choc chip cookies that they were selling. Those were pretty good.The prices were not a match for the food. I would probably give them one more shot to see if anything changes. read more

SOLID 4 STARS ! This location has been around for over 10 years , I used to eat here as a child. To say I'm from Jersey and that I don't like bagels may actually be a crime but its true. One day after a very long and intense workout I wanted a bagel. I'm so glad I stopped in here. I got the spinach bacon asiago bagel with a zesty sauce and swiss cheese. The bagel was so crispy on the outside but very soft on the inside. You could actually taste the asiago cheese I was instantly amazed. I wasn't expecting that from a chain bagel spot. But apparently the bagels are baked fresh daily on premises. They have a wide range of bagels to select from , which I love. You can choose from sweet or savory. They also have many cream cheese flavors to choose from as well. My only complaint is the customer service could have been a little bit better. read more

Let me start by saying I've come this establishment quite a few times. I've read some prior reviews talking about the lines and confusion. From my understanding this place is to resemble the idea of a New York bagel shop. If you're not from New York you won't get it. Grow up stand in line and make your voice heard. Granted we live in a day an age where people need order in order to understand. The reason I took one star away was due to their inability to locate an online order we made when we full well had the order number available. We wait an extra 10 to 15+ which wasn't necessarily a big deal. My partner and I were just annoyed that after waiting extra time they still managed to get our order wrong. The second reason I took away a star was due to the fact that there was no order what so ever in keeping social distancing. Customers where just everyone even tho Manhattan Bagel has enough space to enforce and guide the customers. Personally it was rather uncomfortable and give them my best. I will certainly try to eat here again possible post pandemic as during the confusion of being inside was the only way they got our orders right. read more

This location hasn't always been the best for customer service in general. I remember one time I got one of the lox, cream cheese and caper bagel sandwiches (I forget what it's called). And they forgot my red onions so I went back into the store a few minutes later and the girl literally picked apart my sandwich because she swore she had put the onions on. And I just had to look at her like "Are you serious? Who would really lie about not having onions on the sandwich? Like I'm really coming in here to steal some onion slices?" Anyway, I'm not reviewing about past experiences as a customer... Though it is a good reminder to management that anytime someone delivers Uber Eats, they are potentially a customer or have been customers in the past. They generally should treat everyone with respect anyway. But I was doing an Uber Eats run and I literally was standing there for about 5 minutes without anybody even so much of asking which order I was picking up. My face was on the screen of their table, I do know that as of late, Uber shows the driver's face on the screen when they're there for pick up so most restaurants when they see me they already know what I'm there for. But anyway I was ignored for about five minutes, I asked one girl when the line slowed up if she could hand me the order because I was the Uber and could see it had been there the whole time. She put her finger up and proceeded to take a customer's order which I overheard she actually had skipped another customer who was complaining to her about being overlooked for that one. Way to not pay attention. Then I asked another girl who was on the side putting some food boxes down (who I thought of doing that before the first time she came around but didn't bother as I was hoping she'd look up after but didn't) so this time around I politely said excuse me ma'am can you hand me that order for "customer name"... I got ignored again. My app was open, I was ready to verify, but I was tired of my time being wasted. Finally, a lady comes over to give me the Uber and I let her know that I was ignored by two employees and she said they're not allowed to hand me anything, and I said "well they could've said that. They were being rude and I'm going to review them because they were unprofessional", hence my long yelp review. There's been issues in the past with businesses that have ignored people doing Uber eats or not making it a point to have food ready in a timely manner. I've literally been on the side with other drivers waiting over 10 minutes at the McDonald's on 22 for food that was just sitting there just as an example. The food at Manhattan Bagel was sitting there the whole time mind you, so not only are they wasting my time, but the quality of the customers food is not as good because it's been sitting for longer. Think about it, I still had to drive and deliver it so that's a long time for food to be sitting. Businesses as of late have been more punctual about having deliveries ready on time and been more respectful of the Uber drivers' time because at the end of the day it's for your customers who already paid in advance mind you, and I'm helping keep your business afloat by saving you time and money and I think Uber must've heard a lot of courier complaints with regards to businesses so many have gotten better about the experience drivers experience with them. I think this one just didn't get the memo. Oh by the way, the person that finally did give me the Uber order seem to have an attitude because I took issue with the fact that I was ignored and rudely treated by the other two workers. When you put your finger up at me or ignore me completely I consider that to be rude just like anybody with common common sense would and just like any customer is allowed to complain about the service so should anybody actually helping your business out. I've made it a point to bypass certain locations of chain restaurants if I find they were disrespectful during my Uber eats runs or even just when I'm there as a customer. This location I will likely stop picking up orders from unless it's just a really slow delivery day. I only do this part time so it's no big deal. There is a feature in the app where couriers can complain about things that went wrong during a pick up or drop off and Unprofessional staff is a selection. I'm not sure if Uber really penalizes businesses that get those ratings especially the ones that get those readings a lot but I would hope management would take notice on yelp & really re-train the staff on basic etiquette. The staff are all very friendly and willing to go the extra mile. Great parking. The bagels are delicious. All of the sandwiches are delicious. The place is really well laid out. It does get super busy from 11 am to 12 noon Saturdays and Sundays, but it's worth it. The only drawback is the heating and cooling in this place. In Summer, too hot! In Winter, too cold! read more

I've been coming here on weekends on my temporary weekend shift. I took stars away because of the high price, For a bagel and veggie cream cheese is $3.09. Also, one of the employees maybe the manager is very persistent and I think is very rude. The way he communicates, angers me. If I don't want a bag please don't grab my food and stuff it in a bag after I tell you I don't want to waste the bag. I'm sure he has a system where he only knows that food is paid for when people have their items in a manhattan bagel bag. Another thing got to me when he asked me if I wanted help and I replied that I already order and waiting for my bagel but didn't pay for it. He lectures me that his line is the order only line and insists that next time I go to the pay line and wait there. And when I'm trying to ignore him because he already got his point across when I'm paying for my bagel points to the 'order here' sign and continues with his lecture. I wanted to reach over counter and punch him because there shouldn't be to lecture about which line to go to.
