The food was really good and the portions are worth the money; however me and my friends had the worst experience with the customer service. I know it's a Korean restaurant but when me and my friends asked a question about the portion our server Soon Ja gave us alot of attitude. Then while paying for the bill we saw that tip was already included, but our server expected us to tip more with cash. While signing the receipt she watched closely behind to see if we included tip, which we did not because of foul service. She lately asked a passive aggressive question, "No tip?".

Dinner at YD tofu house today is delicious! This place is forever busy! The restaurant is full of tables and always packed! We had the beef bulgogi and beef tofu soup.. so many banchan covered our table after we placed our order. The beef bulgogi was delicious! So much flavor! The tofu soup was great! It was what I was craving for. The rice was omg sticky and great! And their new rice bowls were so fun! Came like a whole pot of rice! So cute

We usually go to another location, but we like this one much more. The staff are incredibly friendly and provide excellent service, and the food is absolutely delicious. We'll definitely be coming back!

Been going here for decades. I was so happy when they opened one closer to me, off Freeport. However, many will argue that the one on Folsom is better and has more options. None-the-less, this is probably the best Korean restaurant in the area. I recently tried the Sundae, which is blood sausage. I got it at the Folsom location and loved it. My other favorite dish are their grilled fish and bossam.

One of our fave legit korean food resto. We just very hungry after work and we decided to go here again. We tried this last year and again it did not disappoint. Most of their side dishes are unlimited and free refills. They have free cold water which is nice. You can only have 1 free rice and the rest you have to pay. We ordered our fave korean chicken. Its juicy and crispy as always. The sauce too is soo good. Our favorite galbijim is one of a kind. Little too slow for our orders to come but overall still good.

Excellent authentic Korean food and more than expected "Asian hospitality". Place was close to being in a Seoul restaurant. Friendly staff specially Kim and Thong. Well lighted and comfortable chairs with photos of their special menus.

The menu has a wide variety of dishes. But decided to try the bibimbap. It came out sizzling. It was a pretty generous portion size and flavorful. There was also a big variety of side dishes. Some of my favorites were the japchae and fishcakes. You can also ask for refills on the side dishes.

I've dined at YD Tofu House with a large party several times and they served up delicious food while taking good care of us. I've also had a couple of experiences where we didn't care at all for the dishes we ordered (ox tail soup, for example). Overall, though, their food is spot on: fresh, seasoned nicely, and flavorful. I love their banchan dishes, too. Service is generally fine but minimal. Ambiance is casual with a good-sized dining room area. Their menu has an extensive number of selections. If you happen to arrive during a busy time, finding parking can be challenging.

This location is always a solid choice for Korean food. The menu features classic dishes with reliable, comforting flavors, and they offer a great assortment of banchan that complements the meal nicely. My husband and I ordered the Chadol Sul Lung Tang (Beef bone soup with brisket), Donkatsu, and Haemool Pajeon (Seafood pancake). Each dish met expectations and was satisfying across the board. We visited on a busy Friday night, and the service was great. We were initially seated next to a loud group, but when we asked to move, the staff accommodated us immediately. Our rice also arrived a bit late, and they noticed and corrected it right away without us needing to say anything. Overall, a dependable spot for classic Korean comfort food. Parking: Plenty of spaces in the strip mall where the restaurant is located.

There is a lot of sides and food is tasty. We've been to this location several times and prefer to drive here than go to the other sac location. The service isn't the best but they're not rude.. just not very attentive. We got the galbi jjim last time we went and shared between 3 people and it was perfect with a bit of leftovers. The meat was flavorful and soft. I haven't had a bad experience with the food here yet.

Overall it was an average experience. Inside was very nice and spacious. Plenty of seating. Was directed to a table quite quickly. Was given a menu and had my order taken quite quickly as well. They had a nice variety of banchan, which tasted fresh and quite nice. I ordered the beef and seafood tofu soup spicy but it wasn't that spicy to me. They crack the egg into your soup for you at the table which is nice. Overall the food was average. The included a nice variety of protein in the soup but it just wasn't special. Would come again if my main places aren't open. Large variety for menu which is nice.

Came back and tried the brown rice dolsot bimbibap. 9/10. The hot stone is definitely worth it because it crunches up the rice to provide a different texture. I always add the gochujang into my stone pot to give it an extra spice! The staff are always so nice. I went on a Friday night and it was busy, but the staff made sure that we had ice water when we asked.

I would say it's time for an update on YD Tofu House! This small business has 2 locations, the staff are very welcoming and sweet and recognize us when we come in! All of their food is authentic, my hubby is from Korea and it's his favorite restaurant! Not to mention they have great portions, we always have leftovers! ~Meal Review~ What we ordered our last visit, Goon Mandu, Pizza Kimchi Shrimp Dolsot, Pizza Kimchi Beef Dolsot, Dduk Gook and Samgye Tang. They have the best variety of never ending banchan and our 8 year old LOVES their fried dumplings appetizer! My husband loves the traditional rice cake soup and our toddler's personal favorite is the Cornish hen soup that reminds her of grandma's! As you can see both of these drool-worthy bibimbap flavors are very cheesy and delicious and come with gochujang! 5/5 Stars! I would definitely recommend this amazing, local restaurant and our family of 4 will continue to come back for our favorites! SYOY! :D *Song Credit: B.there.4.u by Jeff Kaale

Do they have All you can eat Barbecue?

No. It is a la carte but they provide a large assortment of banchon

Are you guys open for indoor seating yet?

They are not, only a few customers allowed at a time and you must wait outside until they text you that your drinks are ready.

When you place a to go order do you still get banchan?

Yes! I went a couple days ago and they packed kimchi in one small round container and the rest of the banchans in a small square to go container.

    How is the Bossam here?

Bossam was absolutely delicious. The pork belly was super tender. It came with kimchi, lettuce wraps and garlic.

They have a variety of different fusion flavors that all tie to Korean cuisine. A must get is for sure their Booty Booldak; other than the fun name lol, it's served with crispy taters and cheese melted on top. I also tried their Kimchi Karbonara for the first time! It was good, but I wished there were more noodles, because we were left with a lot of bacon bits in the end. Our server, Sierra, was so sweet! She was welcoming and friendly, and we even had great conversations with her. She was also quick at serving us and getting what we needed.

Apparently that night was their 3 (?) year anniversary, so not sure if this is always the case but they did have a whole live DJ on the main floor. When we arrived there were a couple other tables dining. There isn't much seating inside, and most of the tables ended up being blocked off for bottle service lol Me and my girl were there to eat so we ordered as many dishes as our tiny table could handle! Kimchi Carbonara - TBH this tasted like spaghetti... with some kimchi and bacon. It wasn't bad, but it tasted exactly the way I described it. They should just take the carbonara out of the dish's name completely. I wouldn't order it again, just cause the bacon flavor was really smokey and strong. Spicy wings - These were actually really good! Served with pickled jalapenos, pickled radish, and a cabbage salad! Just make sure you get some rice on the side. The wing sauce was spicy! Not overly, but just enough. It was sweet but not too sweet. I would recommend! Mandu- Decent. Not spectacular, but a good side to round out your meal. The dipping sauce was yummy, a nice sweet soy. Pink Venom - The flavor was so good. Tasted like a pink starburst. If you like sweet drinks, this one is it! Didn't taste the alcohol at all though. Parking sucks so bad, we had to park a couple blocks away and cross some train tracks but we made it! The waiters were so nice and checked up on us even with the whole party going on. The bouncers though didn't pass the vibe check and I didn't really like that we got IDed so many times. We're in our mid 30s lol.. be frr. The whole vibe is fun, they have a full bar and apparently in the back room, it's another bar/lounge scene. It wasn't that type of night for me, but I would come back to eat and hang out if I was in the area. Keep in mind though, the crowd is early 20s!

For appetizers I usually get the seafood pancake, so I ordered one of those to share in addition to my cheese soondubu and my companion's kalbi. There were also about 12 different banchan, so something for everyone's tastes. The kalbi came out sizzling and was well seasoned. i enjoyed my tofu soup (medium spicy!) a lot, and the waitress was kind enough to crack the egg in for me. If I had to nitpick, the beef in my soup was a bit tough, but the flavor was excellent overall. Service was great! They even chill the little glasses for makgeolli for you. First of all, the food served is exactly like the photos. I got the short rib bun burger and bulgogi gyoza. The burger (omg) had a balance of sweet and salty but also a little spicy. Halfway through I noticed something yellow, it was a pineapple! Usually I have mixed feelings about pineapple with foods like pizza. But this complimented so well. Now, the gyoza. Crispy and you can't go wrong with bulgogi. What I was surprised with was inside I think it was japchae! If you like Korean food like me, I was so excited to see this twist. And yes it was yummy. I seem to get lucky most times and get to meet the owners. That day I met them and they're so nice! I can tell they put a lot of thought into the menu, ingredients, decor, etc. The owners are Japanese and Korean. Hence KoJa! Even this detail was really impressive. I ended up going back because the owner told me that his wife (also owner) created Yang Nyum and it was really good and popular. So I got Yang Nyum, kamikaze fries, and taro boba. The portions were great. But most of all, he was right about Yang Nyum, delicious! I didn't realize the kamikaze fries had beef, so yummy but I definitely overate that day, lol. One other thing I really liked was you could order at the register or kiosk. This is a great way to avoid lines. Once you order they have a screen that shows your ETA (why do other restaurants not have this?). I did go during the day though. So, I can only imagine how amazing it looks at night. Especially after dancing or bar hopping, the food here would pair well. Koja also sells alcohol too though and apparently downstairs is where the dancing is at. Will I go here again, absolutely.

There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

I will preface this by saying I should come back and judge based off their main menu offerings,…read morehowever they offer a separate brunch menu and that is what I had for my visit at fuji sac. We orderd the loco moco and breakfast fried rice with scrambled eggs. The eggs were deliciously scrambled. The fried rice was ok. The big concern was my burger patty was really burnt. The consistency and flavor of the gravy was interesting. We were the first visitors of the day so I'd say while it eventually filled up, not sure the reason behind burned food. Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.

Yum! Was unsure about lunch one day so the husband brought home Kindred Seoul. He swore by them…read more(he's a state worker nearby the restaurant and has had them many times before). I ordered the beef cupbop and it hit the spot! All the flavors I could've asked for: sweet, salty, umami goodness. The rice was perfectly fluffy, the japchae nicely cooked, and the beef was so tasty. Great portion and was a nice, warm lunch on a cold day. If you're a state worker and haven't tried them yet, you need to! Delicious Korean food that's fresh and filling!

Located in the Allenby Building State building in Downtown Sacramento. They have a vast eating area…read morethat you can bring your own lunch if you choose, you don't have to order from Kindred Seoul to eat in the building. I've only eaten here once, but it appeared that was plenty of seating for many more people. When we walk by it's never been packed. Parking is mostly street parking with some parking in local garages. They have 2 very clean unisex bathrooms to the right of the counter. You order at the counter and then they call your number. We arrived a few minutes after Noon. There was only 1 person in-front of us and 1 person behind us so we thought it would be a quick lunch. As it turns out several people went through the line before us and the wait was around 15 minutes. Kind of an excessive wait for a counter lunch. There was one girl holding her baby taking the orders and one girl filling the orders. She was going as fast as she could, but it still took awhile. It got really backed up. I ordered the BBQ Beef Cupbop. I didn't know what to expect. As it turns out the bottom layer is white rice, next is a layer of glass noodles, then comes the can corned, a mixture of cabbage, and topped with the BBQ Beef. It was very tasty. A little on the spicy side, which made it just more flavorful. It wasn't mouth watering or eye tearing hot. It just had a little kick. The consistency of the meat reminded me of ground beef. It was very finely chopped strips. Overall it was really good. Very filling for the amount you get. It's more than we usually have for lunch. My husband had the chicken soy ginger. I had some and it was really good, but fried, so probably not as healthy as the BBQ Beef. It doesn't appear that they cook to order any food here, but they do scoop to order. From what I could see they sell a variety of Cupbop flavors, including a vegetarian option. They also sell sandwiches, salads, and a burrito. They have an ice water dispenser at the end of the counter with water cups. The vibe was interesting. You are surrounded by state worker from all different agencies all minding their own business. Many groups of 2-6 were eating together. There were less singles than groups.
