The street tacos are amazing I personally love the pastor or chicken, The salsa/hot sauce can pack a punch so if your a gringo as I am have some leche(milk) ready. Popped in for lunch. Authentic taqueria. Small menu and to the point. They take credit and have a small salsa bar. One tv that was on with day time talk shows. Very clean and fast service. Food: meats were all perfect- cooked well and seasoned. Good portion size. Loved their chicken, lengua, al pastor. Big chucks so tender. The soft tacos were so yummy. Rice was better than their beans. I was not a fan of their pork tamales or chicken enchilada . I liked the chile relleno burrito a lot. Survey says soft tacos plate from here on out. read more

My first time experience with this restaurant left a bad taste in my mouth - literally and figuratively. I called ahead to order breakfast takeout for my family and was helped by a woman who was far from friendly. My interaction with her made me feel that I was inconveniencing her by patronizing her establishment. After picking up the meals, my family and I were disappointed in the re-heated rice and beans. I know that during these times, restaurants are operating at less than 100% of capacity but beans and rice are easy enough to make on a daily basis. The food was not very flavorful and to make matters worse, my family all shared the same aftermath. We felt sick and very unsatisfied with our breakfast. Will not be going back there again. Where this place lost me were the little things: the tiny paper wrap barely covered the burrito once over and it was basically falling out as I grabbed it out of the bag--not a nice feeling, the skimping gone too far. No sauce in sauce cups but just a faint taste of it in the burrito--maybe environmentally friendly, but not good for folks who want liberal amount of sauce that they add to their liking. Love this place. Do you yourself a favor and get their two hardshell taco daily special. I get the chicken and it is juicy and so good. The taco shells are crispy and perfectly fried. The green sauce I ask for with them is tangy and my mouth is watering just writing about it. They put this fresh white cheese on top of the crispy lettuce too. Yum. I also really love the beans and rice at this place. The beans taste very authentic and traditional, yet not overly greasy. The rice is fluffy and flavorful. Cheese enchiladas are also to die for. This is a great hole in the wall spot for some great food. The lunch specials that they have available range from two tacos any meat any style with rice and beans, to enchiladas with rice and beans. They also have one of my favorite options which is the all meat burrito, which is as it sounds, all meat. The meat is a great mix of pork, beef, steak and a few other treats that they have available. The food is home tasting legit, and is fresh and delicious. To wash down your great tasting adventure, they have the old school orange fanta, Mexican coke, to your ice tea, or water. Cheap and good Mexican restaurants are few and far between in the Thousand Oaks area (unlike Simi Valley where they're everywhere). Manny's is a decent TO option located off Arboles near where the Rollerdome used to be. For around $8 a plate, we tried 3 crispy tacos and 3 soft tacos (street tacos). Both plates came with beans and rice along with free salsa. Unfortunately chips were not included and a side of them were and extra $2... Overall the food was decent. Flavors of the beef tacos were "A-Ok" but did not blow our socks off. The chicken tacos were considerably better in taste and quality. The one al pastor soft taco we had was decent but really lacked the punch of flavor I was hoping for. The beans and rice were good and really added to the value of the meals. In the end Manny's satisfied my hunger and it did so on the cheap. No real complaints but the food isn't something I'll be craving. read more

Unfortunately, my experience​ with​ Manny's was less than favorable. We decided to try it since one of my daughter's was craving it and we just moved into this area, it was closer than our usual menudo stop. WELL, BIG DISAPPOINTMENT​! Wish we had gone to our usual spot. I'm from Mexican​ heritage, raised on the stuff, and this was by far the worst menudo we have ever had. It was very sloppy, you can tell the cook just threw the ingredients into the pot without bothering to clean the meat. There is nothing more disgusting​ than eating fatty-stinky menudo that hasn't been cleaned. Plain ass sloppy​!! The service was horrible also. The register girl was selectively rude, was really nice and friendly to her regulars but a B---- to us! Also, she got one of​ my daughter's order​ wrong. Since she was so B----y I didn't even complain about the fact she had gotten my daughter's order wrong. I just made my daughter eat it. Never again! read more

Just Ok photos on Yelp look far better then the food tastes. Carne was tough and flavorless. A local drinking spot for the locals. The locals hangout and drink without eating so there is a lot of cross talking as if you are in a bar. Which business is business and I'm fine with that.
