The Maneesh breads here are the stars of the show here. There are other things on the menu, and I'd like to try more of them, but if you're not ordering Maneesh with something on it, you're missing the point. Breads are served like mini-pizzas but with a thin, light, and delicious crust and interesting toppings. They aren't huge, but they're filling for a single-person. I'd recommend getting a couple (few?) and sharing around slices with your dinner-mates to get a good variety. Restaurant is clean and comfortable for dining, with parking easily accessible via the driveway just on the north-side of the building. Cash-only is a bit of a hindrance, but they do have an ATM machine inside the restaurant, so not too difficult. Will definitely be back to try more. read more

I've been coming here for lunch for the past couple of years and have watched this place grow (menu and facility). Bottom line is that they are all about quality and value. You will not be disappointed with anything you order. The Mediterranean salad is a steal at $5 and you can add meat for just a couple more dollars and they PILE it on. The gyro is gigantic for $6. Everything is super fresh and crisp and delicious. They source their products from their store down below so it is all of the best imported food one can get. Flatbreads are very good too, but I like a bit more tang to my dough; I wish they'd let the bread ferment a bit longer. But that is splitting hairs for the price. Let me just say that I love everything about this place. It is always tasty. It is clean with a welcoming and comfortable ambiance. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Best falafel wrap in Seattle. As a vegan, falafel sandwiches are one of my go-to foods when I'm looking for lunch or a quick dinner by myself, so I've tried a lot of different places that serve falafel sandwiches or wraps in this area. At least a dozen. This place has earned the distinction of the best, both in terms of quality and value. The price was reasonable ($5.95) and it was almost more than I could finish in a single meal. My companion had a lamb sandwich and was similarly impressed by the quality and the size. And a bonus is the middle eastern grocery store in the same building downstairs. The grocery store is very well organized and clean and has items that you can't find anywhere else. I've eaten here twice and have been impressed by the consistency. A real gem. read more

Everything here is super fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. based on all of the Middle Eastern cuisine I have enjoyed in New York Chicago Los Angeles and Boston, this place compares very very favorably. The service is fast, especially takeout, and the folks here seem very friendly. It's great to be able to watch your flat bread in the oven being baked. I will gladly travel across town to come here. I would have never come across this place if it weren't for my friend's quick yelping skills as we were trying to find a quick bite to eat after a run (walk, in my case) at Greenlake. This place is tucked inside a small grocery store that would've easily gone unnoticed on any given day. The employee that was making our man'oushe told us that this place gets packed during the weekends- about 40 people crammed, lining up in a space that only seats 6 people. I was so glad we stumbled in on a Tuesday, when it was completely empty. He also told us that this is the only place in Seattle (maybe even Washington?) that does this. I think he was referring to the kind of oven they used. We went ahead and entrusted him to give us 4 recommendations for the flatbreads, and this is what we got: Chicken: My least favorite of the 4. The meat was minced very well, to the point where I couldn't tell if there was even any meat element. It had a very mild flavor, so it might suit someone in the mood for a very light snack. Soujouk Wa Bayd (spicy sausage with eggs): I expected the eggs to be runny, but it was just a layer of thoroughly baked eggs on top of a layer of sausage. This would be a good choice for breakfast since it's almost another variation of a sausage and egg sandwich. Kufta arayes (beef w/ parsley & onions on pita) : This tasted very similar to the previous one, the only difference is that it is more of a calzone than a flatbread, and it was served with a pickle. Maybe since it isn't open faced, the meat was more juicy in this one. Sbanikh wa Feta (spinach and feta): This one definitely threw me and my friends off. The ingredients led us to expect a taste that resembles a greek pie (spanakopita), but what we weren't aware of was that the spinach was either pickled or cooked with vinegar or some other tart seasoning of some kind. I'm pretty sure it was pickled. It was definitely a nice surprise for me. This was my favorite one out of the bunch. * This is what bumped this place up 1 star: As we were chomping away, the cook was working on making a 5th flatbread for us - on the house. I mean....come on. I was sold. I love this place and I love that man. I regret that I didn't get his name, but big shout outs to this guy. The free one he threw in was the Zaatar, which has thyme and other herbs on it. Very flavorful and also one of my favorites out of all 5. Overall, I really recommend coming here for a light snack ( or meal, if you have a small stomach) if you're around the area and you're craving some mediterranean flavors. read more

Super good and inexpensive food. Cannot recommend this place enough to folks who haven't tried it yet. Unpretentious, almost to a fault, and they do everything well. The grocery store on the lower level is a nice bonus for Turkish treats. If you're used to big chunks of meat in your food, these folks do use smaller sized pieces of lamb and chicken, but the quantity is more than enough. Their flatbreads are amazing, thin dough piled with a variety of toppings- lamb, spinach, egg, zatar, flafleh and cheese- cooked in a hot oven with flames at the back. Feel bad for the guys that work there on hot summer days, but they never stop smiling. It's cash only, but they have an ATM and they're not expensive at all. This is a great new place inside of Goodies Mediterranean Market that makes mana'eesh to order. Very authentic and unique in the Seattle area. Mana'eesh (plural of man'oushe) are iconic Lebanese breakfast flatbreads that are sold everywhere on the street and bakeries. In their most basic form, spread with Zaatar (spice/herb blend) and Olive Oil, sometimes with cheese. Here they offer several toppings and also do traditional Lahme bi Agine (flatbreads spread with a spiced meat and peppers topping), and many others. They get busy at certain times of the week and for good reason, but still new enough that They have not been reviewed in any of the Seattle mags yet- I predict they will be much busier soon. Very reasonable prices too. I sampled the Zaatar, Lah'm b'ajeen, Jibne and the Soujouk (see pics of menu) and all of them were very authentic and well executed and really good. This place is so good! Food is always delicious, flavorful and warm! I would recommend the euro sandwich, it's a good bang for your buck and it is so flavorful - they got the texture right too. Their euro meat is soft and slightly crisp on the edges and has all the right seasoning. The garlic fries have garlic sauce, feta, spices and they are absolutely addictive!! The ambiance is relaxing and warm and you can see the oven where they cook the pita! You have to pay in cash but there is an ATM in the restaurant. The service is friendly enough. It is quite affordable considering the quality of the product! The area that the restaurant is located is a bit shifty but it doesn't affect the experience much. The Lamb Shawarma is fire. They make their sandwiches on traditional flat bread and not pita. Almost on the same level of Truly Med in San Francisco. The labneh was so soft and creamy that it actually beats petra which is very famous for mediterranean cuisine in seattle. Like many have said already, the flat breads here are where it's at (especially the Za'atar, my favorite) but can I get an amen for the falafel?! And while you're at it, one for the low prices as well?! My husband has been hunting for good falafel in Seattle for years and, after having convinced me to put down the lamb kebabs, lamb shawarma, and lamb kofte for a second, I recently joined him in said hunt. We thought we found the winner at Bodrum Bistro in Wallingford (which, if you haven't been already, I would HIGHLY recommend for Turkish food) but I think we've found our new number one. What makes it so good you ask? The texture is perfect- it's pretty clear that their garbanzos aren't coming out of a can, not too pasty on the inside, and perfectly crunchy on the outside. The service here is super friendly and thoughtful as well- we didn't realize that they only take cash but instead of making us use the ATM (which is literally five feet from the register) the guy taking our order let us know that we could avoid the $4 fee that the ATM charges and pay at the grocery store downstairs if we wanted to. My brother, his friend Sally and I were in Seattle to fix his Mini Cooper and to catch my flight back to Ohio, we stopped at Man'oushe Express for an early dinner....My brother explained that there was this Armenian restaurant in a Seattle neighborhood we had to try...we parked in the back, and first entered the Mediterranean grocery store which is on the lower level, right away you could tell this was an authentic Mediterranean store, Lamb at the butcher counter, grape leaves, a small cafe inside the store that served Mediterranean fare. Walked around for about 30 minutes admiring all the different products that you normally don't find in your local grocery than walked up the drive to Man'oushe Express....we were on the hunt for some Lahmajoon, an Armenian Pizza that our mother made when we children and quite frankly have never been able to find anything that quite measured up to mom's (Istanbul in Columbus, not even close)!! The place has seating for maybe 20, unassuming but saw some of the food some patrons had....we ordered garlic fries, homemade pita and hummus and didn't find Lahmajoon on the menu but a Lamb Flatbread that looked very close to my mothers creation....food was up in 5 minutes, cooked in front of you....garlic fries were delicious, covered in garlic feta and parsley, recommend as an appetizer....the homemade pita was ridiculous, the pita was huge, and the three of us shared it, hummus was awesome....you won't go wrong ordering the pita and hummus!!! the lamb flatbread came out and it looked similar to my mom's lahmajoon, taste was good, slightly different and served with a lemon wedge to squeeze on the flatbread....mom's creation has more a tomato onion base in the meat that was different than the Lamb Flatbread...still it was pretty good, the flatbreads consistency was good and again everything homemade.....not from the Seattle area but if you are looking for quality Mediterranean food get over to Man'oushe Express, great food, good service, pricing moderate and place is unassuming...What's not to like about that!!!
