We stopped here for dinner before going on a beaver tour of Meadowbrook Pond hosted by Beavers Northwest. The four of us chose the Aegean pizza. It was loaded with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, pesto and chicken. The crust was crunchy-chewy, just the way I like it. Next time we would add a salad to the mix. What we didn't skip was desert. We ordered baklava. It was homemade and some of the best I've had (and the scoup of vanilla ice cream was the perfect accompaniment for a warm summer night). The service was pleasant and efficient. I love pasta but not the overly tomato sauces so I order the Greek spaghetti with browned butter and mizithra cheese whenever it's on the menu. I was delighted to know that Santorini has it on the menu AND it's close to my house. Santorini had perfected this dish and additionally offers worth different proteins. Tonight I ordered for pick up and I was delighted when they threw in a bottle of prosecco. It's always nice when establishments remember you but it's beautiful when they express through gestures. Walking into this restaurant for the first time, we noticed it was full and cozy- lots of families and bustle, but also not loud. We were warmly greeted by Ella, who owns the restaurant with her husband, and made to feel at home in a way that felt like being transported out of Seattle (which tends to be quite impersonal). The owners and wait staff know their customers, who are clearly regulars. We got the Odyssey pizza and hylopetes Greek pasta, both which were excellent! I loved the abundance of broccoli in the pasta and that the pesto wasn't heavy or overpowering. The wine was fabulous, and I was kindly offered if I wanted to try some first when I asked questions - that NEVER happens to me in restaurants anymore, which is hard because I am picky about wine! Great good from a family run place. I had an appointment nearby and stopped in for some takeout on my way home. They were kind enough to give me a glass a complimentary house red wine while I waited. Which wasn't long at all. The food was soo good! Great mix of Italian and Greek. We got the Agean pizza, Greek salad, and Santorini Lasagna. The Santorini Lasagna was so yummy, and large portion. It had a mix of red meat sauce and Alfredo, which I loved!! Also has some veggies which blended in perfectly so I could feel a little healthier. ;) I'll be back in the future! read more

I have concern for this little establishment; the past two times we ordered pizza, they were pretty horrible. And this had been our neighborhood pizza place, and their pizzas had been amazing. We were simply confused the previous time we got pizza and it was 'off'. But now two times in a row? What's going on? The crust used to be buttery and rich, now it is flavorless and dull. The sauce used to be top-notch and zesty, now it is bland. And the veggies on our pizza used to taste fresh and identifiable, now they 'taste' as if they've been languishing in the back of a freezer for years; there is little flavor at all. I don't know what changes they have made, or why, but as far as the pizza goes, you may as well go buy a frozen pizza at Fred Meyer. And this is sad, because we love this little place, have always liked the food and the ambience, and had always loved their pizza. I can only hope they undo whatever they did and can return their pizzas to their previous glory. read more

First time I was here with three other friends. I like that they don't have a zillion things on the menu. That said, salad dressings were made from scratch but the ranch was nondescript and I would have fared much better with the blue cheese. While eating my salad, I thought I had a piece of glass underneath a piece of lettuce, but it turned out to be a few ice chips. Go figure? Don't know if they keep their salads in the fridge and it's that cold but I'm glad it melted which is better for me. I ordered the lasagna santorini. Good flavor but needed salt surprisingly. Also, just some small pieces of zucchini and eggplant. I think I had two pieces of sausage in all of my lasagna. My friend who had the linguini alfredo said it was good but not the best she ever had. Service was top notch, that I can say but I wouldn't go back. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures. I'm usually on the ball with that but not that night. read more

How did I ever miss Santorini's? I used to work over by Nathan Hale High School in the early 2000s and would drive past Santorini's nearly every day, but I never stopped in until last week. And what a treat! Easy parking, happy and welcoming staff, and of course, great pizza. The Pesto was my favorite of the two I ordered, but my dining partner preferred the Veggie, the one with the fresh tomatoes. I forgot what it's called. I checked picture of pizza and none looked like mine likewtf cheese on top? Why ? To hide the bad sauce or the bad topping? Asked them if all their pizza were like mine. They replied yes. When you look at the picture people posted none looked like a dog shit like mine I believe their pizza are frozen pizza and they would add cheap cheese all over the pizza to cover it. We have been coming here for years!!!! We live approx 5 minutes away in Wedgwood. The first few times we dined in. But as others have mentioned it's a small establishment, so now we always call in an order to go. While they have remodeled since we first came, the ambiance holds me back from giving it 5 stars. We love to get their tortellini with pesto cream sauce & chicken and the pasta with broccoli, sun dried tomatoes & clams. Hylopetes I think is the name. Their pizzas are also to die for!!! I have put off writing a review of this place for years because I don't want anyone else to know about it. It's our favorite restaurant on the north side of Seattle. The decor is okay enough, nothing too special, the lighting is a bit bright (like I wish they had candles on the tables) but my goodness, the food. It's sooo good. Also, I love that it's a family-owned place. It's Greek and the family is Greek. An ethnic restaurant run by ethnic people (unless it's Mexican) isn't very common in upscale, vanilla Seattle. If you're lucky, you'll run into the grandma on Saturday nights serving tables. She's the sweetest. The whole family is. There have been times I've asked for a particular pasta with particular veggies and they make whatever I want. We have three kids and they can accommodate a large family like ours and thank God, it's one of the few reasonably priced places in Seattle. It's not cheap but it's not overpriced. Because it's not overpriced, we go there probably every two weeks. A lovely little restaurant run by a lovely family. read more

The pasta was cold. We also had to track down our server over and over again for refills and there were only 3 other tables seated in the place. Please don't pass this place up! The interior does not speak to the food. I promise. I'd happily come here just for the tiramisu! But everything I've had so far is amazing. The owner loves to stop and chat, and is very knowledgeable about what's going on in the kitchen (that's not actually that common)! You can tell there is great pride in what they prepare and serve, and all is house made, including their insane-o house vinaigrette. Now about that tiramisu: also house made, and they do something I think is kind of amazing, but maybe it's just me; they freeze it, but because of the liquor it only soft freezes, so when they serve it to you, it's this cold, creamy, boozy, delicious slice of heaven. They aren't freezing it for storage folks, they're freezing it so that this amazing thing happens to it and you become addicted and keep coming back for more. I guess I should discuss the pastas too? Delish. Perfectly sauced, al dente, not bogged down in garlic, which is a nice change of pace. There's not a whole lot worse than having to take a handful of Tums after eating Italian because it's like you ate a whole bulb of garlic. Please, please try this place. I love to order their pizza for take out. It's not the regular sort of pizza around town. Not the kind of pizza you would want all the time. Their pizza is a good hefty meal. There have been a few times when I crave one of their creations. Their pizzas are a little bit more doughy but not overly so. They put the ingredients over the sauce but above the cheese. And they don't slack in the amount of ingredients they put on. It totally reminds me of a few Greek pizza places on the East coast. read more

It was somewhat crowded here tonight, and mostly with families and elderly individuals. The atmosphere and staff made it kind of seem like we had come over to somebody's house for dinner. The tables and chairs, however, made me think more of a cafeteria than a place to go for a delicious dining experience. They set us up with glasses and a pitcher of water right away, which is a good thing. The bread we got before the meal was warm and crispy, but sadly the salad was kind of a let-down. I don't really like the lettuce that was used, there was only one slice of tomato, and the rest (cheese, olives, Italian dressing) just weren't that exciting. I usually don't like house salads, but generally accept them anyways (if they come with the meal) because there are some really good ones out there and I'm always hoping it's one of those. The main dishes we had (gnocci, cheese manicotti, fettuccine, greek pasta), however, were all VERY delicious. I also very much enjoyed the Greek red wine (dry), but was a little bit bummed to have it served in a regular glass instead of a wine glass. (When the older gentleman bearing the drinks came around and found out the Greek one was mine, he said "Are you Greek?"... "No"... "Even better!".... cheerful older men are great!) We were SUPER tempted to order the homemade Tiramisu because it is simply amazing, but.... ended up deciding against it this time. Price: 4 people, 4 pasta dishes, 3 glasses of wine, 1 beer = about $70 + tip Definitely not a price tag I'd expect just looking at the place, but those pastas (and wine) sure were good.... read more

I went to Santorini's for the 1st time on Valentine's day, thinking it's a small place it won't be as crowded as some of the chain restaurants in the area. Well, I was wrong, there was a line up at the door. On the upside, the owner was giving away complimentary glasses of wine or bottles of beer while waiting for a table! WOW!! I was very impressed with that!! I mean really, when does that ever happen?!! I had the Chicken Tortellini (talk about cheesy goodness!), my husband had Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo. You also get salad and all garlic bread you can eat! Everything was delicious! My family that lives down in Tenino (south of Olympia) came up one night, and for dinner my husband and I took them there. They were all impressed. My grandma keeps mentioning coming back to Seattle to eat at Santorini's. She is a pasta connoisseur!! Food is delicious!! YUM! read more

This restaurant is fantastic! The restaurant is small and they have installed clear shields between tables. The ambiance is lovely with music setting a nice Italian tone. The wait staff are attentive and pleasant. The food is delicious! We started with steamed clams, which were wonderful. Then we had the lobster ravioli and chicken piccata for entrees, which were so so yummy. And we finished up with cannoli and key lime desserts. It was a little pricey, but a perfect splurge. The only tiny demerit (and it's tiny) is the sounds from kitchen intruded a bit into my dining bubble. Nevertheless, I would definitely go again. read more

I have only picked up pizza here, and I can because I am close. Otherwise, it's a bit inconvenient. I've never sat down for dinner. I hear the pasta is good, the wine selection seems alright, and the owner/staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive. However, I would like to say a word about the pizza: Perfection. If you are not picky about your style of pizza crust, I'd say these might qualify as among the best gourmet pizza deals out there. And the toppings get pretty playful... not to mention delicious! Everything tastes and looks fresh - there is a sense that they really care about what they're serving. Suggestions: the Islander - if you're thinking "shrimp on pizza??", don't worry... so was I. Cuccina - one of the best feta pizzas I've had. Make-your-own, but make sure you're clued into toppings prices. Cautions: Gyro meat - not bad, just strange. Sizes - I feel like 10" will comfortably feed two reasonably hungry diners. Any more pizza-zealousness, and you might want to bump it up to the 12". I've never ordered a 14", but suspect I might if I were expecting a couple more mouths. Adding pizzas could come to be a pricey endeavor, but I'd say it's worth it! read more

Ok - I've been having a moral dilemma about whether to review Santorini's ..I've decided to go ahead - because they deserve to be discovered and I can't keep them all to myself anymore ... 10 years at least - with boys on Nathan Hale football team and Santorini's has been our go to. Excellent service and pretty darn good food. The price is very reasonable for you get. I really enjoyed their lasagna, chicken alfredo, and the spinach ravioli. The Santorini Pizza was pretty good too;filling, I was done after 2 slices. They went the extra mile to help celebrate my girlfriend's birthday with their homemade tiramisu cake (ice cream tiramisu).
