Found this jewel when we had to get off the freeway because of a traffic jam. I wondered what the menu looked like and was pleasantly surprised! There were so many delicious items listed on the menu. Hubby and I have never eaten poutine before but have always wanted to try it. We got an order of poutine, an order of poutine with chicken fried steak and an order of pierogies. We took all of it home and it was still warm and delicious after a 35 minute drive. Could only finish half of it- I guess we over-ordered a bit. Can't wait to try some other menu items next time we are in North Dallas! Thanks! read more

I love diner food so when I saw MLD on Yelp I had to check it out. A diner with a Canadian flair. Interesting. What attracted me was how they stack their waffles and burgers. (Photo worthy!) We went here on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. Pretty packed restaurant, but the wait was less than 5 minutes. Here's what we got: Lox Benedict & Latkes $13.99 - Toasted English muffin with smoked salmon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and dill served with potato latkes (aka hash browns), fresh fruit and sour cream or apple sauce. I am used to the salmon on cream cheese and a bagel (like how they have it at Einstein Bros). But the way they make it at MLD was pretty good! I would have to order this again next time. If you like eggs benedict and nova lox, then try this dish! Their potato latkes were a bit on the mushy side. Although their fruit and applesauce portions are tiny, the benedict and potato latkes take up the entire plate. Pizza Burger - Featured on the Food Network $9.99 - topped with sautéed pepperoni, bacon, bell and hot peppers, Bolognese sauce, fried mozzarella cheese crowned with breaded mushrooms served with dip. If you like pizza like me, why not try it in a burger style! Portion is pretty good. It's very cheesy and greasy (and probably not the healthiest meal), but hey..it's good! The breaded mushrooms were delish! Chicken, Bacon & Waffles $12.99- Fried chicken breast and crispy bacon served on stacked Belgium waffles, topped with fresh strawberries and cream puffs. Cream puffs were good. The waffles are pretty good too---crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Chicken breast was ok. Portion is huge. It's like having lunch AND dessert on one plate. Decor is "entertaining" with their coffee cups, pots, pans, and plates attached to the ceilings and walls. You can't help but think, "is it gonna fall on someone's head?!" Service was slow and non-existent (or it's just our server), but I will definitely be back because the food was good! Free cookie with a Yelp check-in! They also serve wine, mimosas, and beer. Besides the service, I would have to give this place 5 stars--my fav. diner so far. read more

So I found out about maple leaf diner a few weeks ago and decided to try their breakfast with my mom this morning. The restaurant looks very new which is a plus. It has that old diner feel but looks clean and bright inside. I love the mugs hanging on the ceiling by the entrance and the plates on the wall. We ordered the Irish corned beef skillet with scrambled eggs and the breakfast club. The breakfast club is a triple decker sandwich served with potatoes. I really enjoyed their potatoes and the sandwich was great as well. The corned beef hash was a little too salty for me but still good. I would come back for lunch or dinner to see what else they offer. read more

This looks like a normal restaurant in a shopping center. I say this from the bottom of my heart that Maple Leaf Diner is anything but normal. It has greatly exceeded my expectations in every way possible. I came here alone as I am traveling for business, and got no weird looks when saying Table for 1. My server Christina was attentive, kind, and overall very pleasant. The food though..... the BEST breakfast I've ever had in my life. I am here in Dallas on business from California, where we typically eat omelettes and avocado toast for breakfast. I knew I needed to try a decadent Texan breakfast while out here, and Maple Leaf succeeded with that beyond what I ever imagined. The chicken, bacon, and waffles was absolutely fantastic. It was the kind of great food that makes you not able to stop smiling while pausing to savor every bite. If I'm ever in Dallas again, this is the first place I'm going to think of to eat at. read more

Pretty tasty and friendly staff, so I'll return. Only downside is I went in as a single and still had to wait about an hour. And then about 10 more minutes once I got the text saying my table was ready. As long as you're not in a rush, you're good. read more

First time eating here came with my husband the food was really good! I had eggs, bacon and pancakes my hubby had the same but more meat n toast all was very good too much food though we couldn't finish it all. The service started off good but the guy waiting on us seemed to be preoccupied with the a different table. We wanted to try more items as far as dinner items so we ordered the pot roast and Salisbury steak it took him awhile to come take our to go order we waited a long time got it but it was very busy there so we understood. When we got home it turns out we got the pot roast but the Salisbury steak was no where to be found the server ordered us a different item my husband was disappointed but ate it. Overall the place was a nice diner but very busy and loud I think if we had a different server things would of been much better so there's always next time. Food was on point also the front staff were very nice n efficient. We will go eat here again to try more items read more

My friend and I met for brunch at 10:30AM on a Tuesday and we still had a short wait. We took the time to admire the nice decor and look at their giant menu. After seeing their advertisements about being on the Food Network and how many reviews they have on Yelp, we were really excited to get the Maple Leaf Experience! Our waitress was honestly swamped and was almost dodging our attempts to get her attention in order to bring out the food for all the tables around us, so it took us another fifteen minutes to order. Friends with a dairy allergy, this place might not be for you if you're interested in breakfast. My friend ordered the pumpkin pancakes and they were delicious, but they had cream and buttermilk similar to many of the other menu items. I ordered the Rose City Burger after I ruled out nearly every breakfast item that sounded good. I asked about the Canuck sauce that comes with it and it's a thousand island sauce that's more vinegary. I asked if I could substitute the sriracha mayo and our waitress said that almost all of their sauces had dairy in it somehow. I ended up requesting a barbecue sauce and asking to hold the cheese. I also couldn't have the zesty dill dip, but there wasn't any substitute for it. The burger doesn't come with fries, so if you have a craving you have to order it separately. My burger came out another fifteen minutes later with thousand island sauce. I flagged our waitress to show her and she asked me to pick up the meat patty so she could see if the sauce was spread out across the burger or just on a little bit... I did it anyways and she took it back to the kitchen. She brought out a new one a few minutes later, but it had no barbecue sauce so she had to go back again and grab some. My friend's pancakes came out fluffy and delicious, so she really enjoyed them! I did not like my burger, as the meat was tough and dry. The barbecue sauce tasted a little strange and the caramelized onions and mushrooms were closer to raw than caramelized. It was underwhelming and the service was also less than impressive. The fried pickles had a salty, thick breading that didn't do it for me either. Flagging our waitress didn't take as long as it did to order, but it still took some time since she was so busy. I would definitely suggest this place to people looking for a great breakfast place without a dairy allergy, but would warn against getting a burger for sure. read more

I love the portion sizes. They have extremely unique food options and definitely perfect for the diner feel. In the past there was often a long line to even get a table! Everything on the menu is good and I recommend if you want a different taste than your normal American breakfast this is the best choice! read more

The food is always great, but the condescending, smug children they had working as "hosts" at the check-in desk this past Sunday afternoon were an absolute embarrassment. We all know this diner treats customers as if they are doing them a favor by allowing them to dine here, but these pompous, conceited, yet wildly immature "hosts" took things to another level. They actually enjoyed telling people how long the wait was and mocking them. Never, ever again. Period. read more

I was in Dallas for a wedding over the weekend. Looking for breakfast spot on a Saturday morning, came across this one on Yelp and reading through all the rave about this place and as it was closer to out hotel, we drove there and wait line was about 30 minutes, so decided to wait to see what this Canadian place is all about. Not sure if the owner is Canadian, the place has all sorts of Canadian pictures from different regions of Canada and maps on the walls. Just another regular diner kind of spot where you can have all day breakfast and other food items. I ordered French Toast and it wasn't that good but I guess you can't expect much from a place like this. Quality of the food wasn't that good and service was little slow, had to wait for more than 5 minutes for the waiter to approach us after we were seated. Most of the people who visit this place are locals as it seems and they are probably used to the wait lines and quality of the food but if you're from different region or state then you might not like this place at all. The portion size were just normal and not like Texas style with huge pieces on the plate. Maybe it's one time visit spot if your curiosity drives you, otherwise there's better spots to go for breakfast. read more

Hubby and I were successful on our third try to get into the Maple Leaf Diner because we arrived before 8a. The food is good, but the ultimate gluttony meal. Hubby got the bacon chicken waffle, which came in a huge tower, and I got the latkes and eggs. The servings of food is huge and definitely too much for an average eater. Coffee was a little on the bitter side, but our server made sure we had bottomless cups. read more

Being from Canada, I love eating some good poutine....unfortunately, the places around in Dallas that offers poutine has disappointed me until I found this place! Their poutine here is definitely authentic....fries, brown gravy, cheese curds....yum! I also ordered the canadian bacon breakfast in which you get two large pieces of canadian bacon, two eggs, your choice of bread (i got english muffin). My girlfriend ordered the chicken and waffles, which i tried, and it was delicious as well! I would definitely come back to this place, even if it was just to order some poutine and wash it down with some Labatt Blue!!! read more

Blueberry pankcakes never let me down. They are full of blueberries! I've had a full order and a silver dollar order of pancakes. The food is simply delicious. I can't believe that I just discovered this place before now? I feel like it is one of the top three brunch restaurants in Dallas. Not only is the food delicious day bring you these huge portions of authentic dishes that just make you happy. The manager is super cool, and everyone takes great pride in taking care of the customers. It just feels like the type of place you can go for all occasions, and have wonderful food and conversation with someone . The only down side to this wonderful diner is that you may have to wait a little while to be seated on the weekends because it's very popular. read more

This place is a must for brunch! We had to wait about 30 minutes because this place was packed (I have heard that you can enter the waitlist online though). And after eating there it totally made sense. I had the chicken, bacon, and waffles with cream puffs on top, and I still occasionally dream about that meal. It was so good! The menu is decently priced and service was professional. Please go here, you won't regret it. read more

Can I just say the diner title is a bit misleading to someone who has eaten at many diners? They're not supposed to have awesome food and cute interior, just saying. But, my goodness are those poutine so good. Burgers also as big as my face? Yes please. The food was instagram worthy. If open late night, I would love it. But it's breakfast brunch hangover food. They also have a milk bar with so many ice cream flavors. I want to come back just for that. And poutine. Always. read more

Best brunch place ever!!! Love love this place! Quality of food is always on point and the quantity is awesome! We always come here when family and friends are over and everyone loves this place. I don't have a picture of the poutine, but order this when you're here! You can get a half size if there's only two of you but if there's more than 2 people in your group I'd recommend getting the full size! read more

My favorite brunch spot. Seriously, they never disappoint. Best chicken and waffles ever--perfect sweet and salty with the syrup and bacon, the fresh strawberries is genius, and the two petit choux on top are glorious. Aside from that we've tried the latkes, poutine, and the basic egg breakfast (whatever it's called). Even the simple options are well executed. Also the biscuits are stand out. It's a nice little spot with casual and fun vibes. Not fancy "hipster" brunch but also not roadside dinner casual. Warning: if you want to go on the weekend, make reservations. Wait times can be an hour or more. That being said, they do let you join a virtual waitlist, so you can wait elsewhere until they message you. read more

We're bringing our slice of Canada to Dallas! Owner Michael Delaurier (an experienced restauranteur from Windsor, Ontario Canada) couldn't find food in his wife's Dallas hometown that felt like home hence he opened Maple Leaf Diner and brings a little slice of Canada to Dallas. Mike serves up traditional homemade diner delights like pot roast, burgers, chicken fried chicken and made-from-scratch pies as well as his homemade Canadian favourites like Poutine (fresh cut french fries topped with cheese curds and smothered in homemade gravy), PeaMeal Bacon (the REAL Canadian Bacon), Cabbage Rolls, Poutine, and Butter Tarts.

Meet the Business Owner: Mike D.

Mike Delaurier, an experienced restauranteur native to Windsor, Ontario Canada, opened Maple Leaf Diner in 2015 because he couldn't find food in Dallas that felt like home. Mike is a third-generation restauranteur trained to cook in the kitchens of his prominent Southern Ontario food family.

French discipline, Texas spirit, six syllables, no further explanation offered or required, and if you do not immediately understand exactly what that means the moment you walk into The Joule on Main Street then I do not know what to tell you except that the rosemary tallow fries are going to clarify things very quickly. CBD Provisions opened in 2013 as the Joule Hotel's in-house restaurant, became famous for a crispy pig's head carnitas that required you to pull strips of meat off an actual half pig's head at the table and tuck them into tortillas, which is a dish so committed to its own bit that it belongs in a museum, and then closed in July 2025 for a months-long renovation that brought in new culinary director Sezer Deniz. Deniz trained under Chef Jean Paul Naquin at the Institut Paul Bocuse in Lyon, France. He has twenty-plus years in Michelin-starred kitchens including Alinea in Chicago. He is now making breakfast tacos inside a hotel in downtown Dallas and I want to be very clear that this is a promotion. The room has exposed brick and wood floors and steel beams and mosaic tile and antique mirrors and railcar booth seating and a center banquette and stone tabletops, all of which sounds like it should be competing with itself but instead produces the specific feeling of a place that has been here long enough to know what it is. I sat at the bar, which is the correct place to sit, and ordered the short rib corn cake stack, which is braised short rib and avocado and two poached eggs and a poblano hollandaise and which arrives looking like the cover of a cookbook that does not exist but absolutely should. The poblano hollandaise is the detail I keep returning to. Not regular hollandaise. Poblano hollandaise. Someone in that kitchen made a decision to take a classical French sauce with two centuries of culinary tradition behind it and introduce it to a pepper from Puebla, Mexico, and what resulted is something that makes you look at regular hollandaise and think, you had potential, you just never reached it. I ate the entire thing and then contemplated ordering another one and then did not because I am a person with limits, technically. The CBD Provisions burger is a double smash with American cheese and grilled onion and house pickles and something called fancy sauce, which is a name I respect enormously because it is not pretending to be anything other than exactly what it is. It comes with rosemary tallow fries, which are the reason I will order this burger every time I come here for the rest of my life. Rosemary. Tallow. Fries. Three words that in combination produce something that should be legally classified as a controlled substance. French in method, Texan in manner. Boots and a brasserie. The Joule has been on Main Street for years and CBD Provisions has been feeding people inside it for over a decade, new chef and new tile floors notwithstanding, and it has figured out the thing that most hotel restaurants never figure out, which is that the goal is not to remind you that you are eating in a hotel. We had breakfast in the hotel and our server was helpful, friendly and had a sense of humor. We visited the pool and were surprised that it was not heated. The hotel gym was decent, could use a better (newer) bench but it had the basics. Our room had everything we needed (the bed was quite soft) and a great view of the eye across the street. My first shower would only get warm and not hot so maintenance had to come up and show me a safely button to push which allows the water to get hot. This was after texting with hotel staff (a very helpful option) but surprising that they didn't just tell me about the button and chose to send maintenance. We were in room 852 on the North side of the hotel and overlooking the eye. We came back from dinner around 10 on Saturday night and were kept awake until about 1:30am. I guess Main St is where people choose to drive their cars with the music so loud it feels as though it's in your hotel room. The motorcycles and cars also like to rev their engines.... A LOT. The windows appear to be single pane and they don't keep any noise out at all. Due to the noise level, I would not recommend staying at this hotel. Being on the 8th floor and feeling like I was in the cars that were driving on main st and blaring music 2 nights in a row was incredibly disappointing. If this was a 2 star hotel, okay. That is not the case. Upgrade the windows to double or triple pane. Your location is great, service was friendly and efficient, but one generally wants to sleep at night and that is not possible at your hotel. We even asked the front desk on our second morning if we should change rooms and were told Sunday nights were quiet. I should have listened to my gut as our Sunday night was not quiet. Although the amount of cars & motorcycles wasn't as much as on Saturday, we still heard several cars with music blaring or motorcycles reviving their engines until around 1am. This was the beginning of a long overdue vacation and birthday celebration and it did not get started on the right foot unfortunately.

Forget about smelling smoke and getting all excited about good barbecue. It was nearly enough to make us turn around and get back in the car. Grateful for the inside seating because if the only available option was to sit outside, I would not have sat there and eaten my food with the smell of that garbage coming across the parking lot.

My wife and I got word of this 2 nights after they opened. We've since been back 6 times, and will continue to do so. I'll cut to the chase: If you work in restaurants and know the biz, these guys need your help. I don't think they expected this volume of business, and they're SEVERELY understaffed. It's been a lifetime since I worked a restaurant, front or back of house, and although I now have a solid career in IT, I am tempted to throw on an apron and hell, just bus tables if that's what they need. I love this place that much. If you go on a weekend, expect a wait. They're serving amazing food at low prices, and word has already gotten out - the last time we went for a Sunday breakfast, the place was packed to the gills, and the wait was about 40 minutes. In that time, I could tell that the front of house staff were "in the weeds," due to too many tables to take care of. Even with the manager hustling his butt to help. All of that said, once you're seated, expect some fantastic grub. The first night we went, they were still doing a BBQ Ribs platter with shrimp that blew my socks off. The ribs were succulent, in a blueberry maple BBQ sauce, and finding out they retired this dish disappointed me sorely. Fortunately, they have lots of other fantastic food. 6 visits, and we've been working our way through the menu. EVERYTHING is fantastic. All plates are a fulfilling amount of food, and delicious at that. The Poutine is a must-try, but any appetizers you order here, you should plan on splitting with at least one more person. The fried mushrooms are the best I've ever had. The Corn Dip is another one I would recommend highly, and the onion rings, my god, the onion rings are food of the gods. For entrees, anything fried is their strongest point. I have recommended that several of our first-time dining partners at this place order the Flagship Chicken Sandwich, or the Pizza Burger. For breakfast, the Chicken & Waffles plate is a feast, and the Eggs Benedict is some of the best I've had in my entire life - with real back bacon! Not "Canadian Bacon" (ham)! The Fish & Chips is a great entree, and I haven't had a burger here that I didn't love. I'd say leave room for dessert, but it's unlikely that you will - just get a slice of pie to go! All in all, at affordable prices, this restaurant serves up outstanding food, but needs a little more staffing. Hopefully, that'll get fixed, because I plan on returning to this restaurant often. read more

So, there I was making my way out of Dallas with a hunger bigger than Texas itself. My taste buds were itching for something homey, as I was on my way to Arkansas, and boy, did I find one at the Maple Leaf Diner. A Canadian spot in Dallas? As unexpected as finding a penguin in a cowboy hat, but hey, I'm all about those culinary plot twists. Walking up, the host greeted us with a smile so warm, I half expected to see a moose waving at me next. It was like being teleported straight to Canada, minus the long flight and the snow. We were seated quicker than you can say "Eh," in a spot that felt just right amidst the bustling ambiance of fellow food adventurers. So I popped into the Maple Leaf Diner down in Dallas, and I gotta say, it felt like I'd been teleported straight to the Great White North... just with a bit more Texas sunshine, eh? I'm pretty sure if my tasted these, she'd give a polite nod and say, "Not bad, eh?" Then came the pot roast poutine, and let me tell ya--this isn't just food, it's a life experience. You've got those crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds (as they should be, eh!), and gravy so rich it could probably pay rent in Toronto. And then--BAM--tender pot roast on top. I just happened across Maple Leaf Diner last month and it was fantastic! I found a reason to go back 2 more times in December as well! Lot of typical dishes mainly from Canada, a good sample of their eating habits. Very tasty and not to expensive. Good portions. e enjoyed every minute of our meal. The staff is super friendly, the owner stopped by to check on us and make sure we were happy, and everything was perfect. I decided to indulge instead with their Salmon Benedict, which is served with two latkes and a bowl of fruit. The salmon was delicious, tender and melted in my mouth like butter. Served on crispy toasted English muffins, with perfectly poached eggs, and a sinful amount of decadent hollandaise sauce. The latkes (basically hash brown pancakes, for the uninitiated) were perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, served with sour cream. Rounded out with their fresh, hot coffee, it was a great meal. Consistency of the pancake itself was wonderful texture-not gummy. The crazy chicken/waffle combo was a sight to behold. The pot roast was melt-in-your mouth excellent. Buffalo chicken with crisp onion rings: magical. And the poutine was both authentic and surprisingly not greasy at all. We will return! This was my first time visiting Maple Leaf Diner!! It was such a unique Canadian gem, with lots of unique items on the menu. Service/Ambiance: The service at this establishment truly stands out, thanks to the attentive and friendly waitstaff. The ambiance is nothing short of inviting. With plenty of seating available, you never feel cramped or rushed, allowing you to enjoy your meal at your own pace. The lighting is just right - not too dim, not too bright - creating a cozy atmosphere that's perfect for a meal. The Chicken, Bacon & Waffles dish at this establishment is a fusion of flavors. The chicken is fried perfectly and the savory bacon adds so much depth. At the bottom lies two perfectly cooked Belgian waffles, creating a delightful contrast between crunchy and fluffy. I probably wouldn't have ever looked in the direction of this place... it's Canada themed first of all - like who has ever heard of Canada being known for their amazing food? It's kind of ducked off, in a strip mall. If you blink you'd miss it. I was impressed by the interior, they made it look really nice inside. The staff was friendly and welcoming. NOW, THE FOOD. My oh my. Highly impressed. We got their famous chicken bacon and waffles, chicken Parmigiana, and flag ship chicken sandwich. Started with the beef and cabbage soup, and poutine. All dishes were delicious. Huge portions too! The soup was so hearty and delicious. I could eat that every dang day. Our server was Genesis and she was a rockstar! She answered all of our annoying questions with a smile on her face. She went above and beyond. Her recommendations were on point, she anticipated our needs, and brought us dips and things we would've never thought to ask for. She also hooked us up by telling us that if you check in on Yelp, you get a free cookie. Score!! Bookmarked, and will definitely be back when I'm in Dallas. read more

This place was AMAZING. They have seating outside for waiting guest. The customer service was helpful, informative , fast and friendly. The wait was about 20 to 30 minutes around 8:30 a.m but when we left the wait was one hour and 15 minutes. It was worth the wait. I had the steak , Canadian bacon and waffle which was delicious. I never had Canadian bacon which was the best thing on the plate next to the steak. The steak is fried which was different and my husband had chocolate chip pancakes with bacon . He said it was well worth and it is a chocolate fix. Before the breakfast we ordered a bowl of fruit which was freshly cut every morning. Sorry no picture of the fruit but it was fresh and good. We also had almond joy and chocolate pie to go. I preferred the chocolate one but the almond joy had toasted coconut on it. Overall I will be back.... on a side note we left out two pieces of pie there and went back 6 hours later and they happily replaced it with no questions asked but they knew we left it. The only thing I did not like was the cream puffs on top . It a sweet bomb. read more

We had such a great experience at Maple Leaf Diner! You can tell right away that everyone here actually enjoys what they do. The staff worked together like a real team, helping each other, smiling, and making sure every table was taken care of. Everything ran smoothly, and the service felt genuine and effortless. The owner (Mike) even came by our table to introduce himself and check that we were happy with our meal, you don't see that much anymore, and it really made the experience feel personal. The place was super clean, from the dining area to the bathrooms, which honestly says a lot about how they run things. The food was amazing, everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. You can taste that it's made with care. Their coffee was fantastic too, we loved it. It's the kind of place where you finish eating and already want to plan your next visit. After having this diner recommended to me by a dear friend, I opted to take my wife out for a little breakfast. And I must say we were wowed from the start! Not only did the hostess have exceptional recommendations, but the service could not be better! Even at a peak rush time, our server Christina was all smiles and joy! Her further recommendation of the flagship chicken sandwich was so good, I simply had to give it a try. And the mention of imported beer certainly didn't hurt! I have to say it was easily the best (and BIGGEST) chicken sandwich I've found in Dallas! My wife had the diner special breakfast, and the amount of food was great for the price. She particularly loved the pumpkin waffles and cream puff - a wonderful addition to a diner classic! Our experience here for the first time has certainly turned us into long-term customers! We can't wait to return, and look forward to getting Christina again - her service was far and above my expectations, and her attention to detail is second to none! read more

This place was amazing from being able to get on the waitlist ahead of time, friendly host/hostess, big front area with seats right outside to wait if you're on the waiting list, and now let's begin. The menu is large and in charge. Plenty of great selections and choices for all. Great Canadian whiskey sour, and my friend said the Bloody Mary was great (that big piece of bacon appeared to top it off). We split the pot roast poutine -big plate of goodness ! Canadian eggs Benedict - great flavors, and there's some real Canadian bacon for you. I wish I could've sopped the rest off the plate but do try to mind my table manners. I got a side of their cream of mushroom soup - creamy seasoned goodness. I had no room for a pie, but there was no way I was leaving without it, so got some to go. Almond joy, but they all looked good. This place was amazing, and definitely worth returning to. I do suggest trying out the waiting list on Yelp, it works seamlessly and saves you some time. The MOST AWESOME DELIGHTFUL EATERY IVE BEEN TOO IN A LONG TIME!! The FOOD WAS FRESH AND HOT AND FULL-FILLING , but THE SERVICE WAS THE MOST AMAZING SPIRITUALLY KIND PLACE, I've ever been too!!! From the African Male who came outside to ensure everyone was Registered for their tables because the hour wait (which was well worth it all) , Neva the Waitress was BEAUTIFUL INSIDE AND OUT!!! She was attentive, sweet and appreciative of her job and the owner of this unpretentious restaurant! She expressed to our party of 3 that the reason why she was so delightful from our perspective because of loving you serve people and how the owner serves his staff! She said "during Co-vid the restaurant was closed for some months and the owner still took care of staff by buying grocers, paying bills, and offering whatever needs of the employee"!! This Diner is a GEM!!! Having family from Canada from my side I fell in love with the friendly Canadian atmosphere! Reminded me of when I visited Toronto many a times!!! The service was exceptional and the food quality was amazing! My husband had the Canadian bacon eggs Benedict and he told me that real Canadian bacon was used, not the round slices you see at the store. He also loved the Belgian waffles... My son who is 2 LOVED the turkey sausage and his pancakes!!! Even my daughter who is 1 years old grabbed the pancake from her brothers plate and chowed down, LOL. I had the build your own omelette and it was so delicious!!! We loved the home fries and they weren't mushy potatoes. Oh and those biscuits!!!!! I could eat a basket of those!!! Five stars times one hundred. Popped in this evening for a great meal. Ordered the Canadian Rueben with fries and was very impressed. Great flavor, lots of fresh meat. Tremendous value. What was even more impressive was the manner in which my server, Christina, responded to my rapid blood sugar drop. What could have turned into a serious event was thwarted by Christina's rapid thinking and suggestion to bring over a small glass of orange juice. When I agreed, a transporter could not have had the juice appear any more rapidly. Just what I needed. The Rueben was great. The attentive and quick thinking of Christina is above awesome. We stopped by at this restaurant for brunchfor, and overall, I was impressed. Friendly staff to boot and my irish corned beef breakfast dish was cooked to perfection and arrived promptly. The portion size was generous, and the flavors were well-balanced. However, I did try their Irish Coffee, which was a bit of a letdown. At $10, I expected a more premium experience, but the drink was just average. The whiskey flavor was somewhat overpowered by the coffee, and the whipped cream topping felt like an afterthought. Despite the Irish Coffee misstep, I would still recommend this place for breakfast/lunch. Their food is tasty, and their service is top-notch. Just maybe skip the Irish Coffee and opt for a more reasonably priced beverage instead. read more
