Not really sure what the hype is on this place. You order and sit, which I am fine with. But everyone's meal came at separate times, they messed up our drink order, and the food we just ok. This place changed hands awhile back and when it did I gave it a try and it was terrible. Much of the beloved items and friendly staff had been changed. I waited six months and tried it again today. I'm sad to say it's still not what it once was. This was my favorite place to go in the mornings during college and now it's full of impolite staff and Uber greasy food. First time here with my husband: Excellent almond latte. Cinnamon roll was exquisite, which is quite a difficult task. Not overly sweet with fluffy soft dough, icing had a light cream cheese flavor. The little bagel cheese explosions are a brilliant idea. You can't go wrong with that combination of ingredients. With friendly service and cute atmosphere, there isn't anything more I could ask for. read more

Beyond expectations! We had high expectations after reading other Yelp reviews but our food was even better than anticipated. Having been abruptly forced into a gluten-free diet has been hard on me. I love comfort-foods, breads and baked goods. And although there are more varieties of grocery-store options available these days, I miss the real McCoy. Enter: The Maple Street Bistro. I was serendipitously forced to re-route my usual commute to work and happened to see their glorious reader-board offering a gluten-free scone and a daily drink special and immediately made a hard-right into their drive-through where I was met with beyond courteous service and, not only one gluten-free offering, but about 6 pastry options that day, scones and muffins both! Swoon! I decided on the Maple Cranberry Pecan muffin and a Lavender Brown Sugar latte. I'm hooked. I was blown away. The coffee was smooth and homemade syrup for the latte was dreamy. The muffins are big and beautiful and by no means did I miss a thing. Such a gourmet treat, I'd choose them if I didn't have to for my dietary needs. I have since tried several of the other pastry offerings and have been nearly as impressed as that very first visit. (Looking forward to sampling some of their other lunch-type items!) I'm still new to the world of living gluten-free, but I have to thank Maple Street Bistro. They are doing it right, and they've made the transition a little more comfortable for this grateful girl. This is our first time visiting the bistro. It is quaint and beautiful with it snowing outside. We ordered the eggs and cheese sandwich on gluten free bread. Great food, not great service. I love the look and feel of this diner but we have not been here in awhile because of service. The girls always seem rushed and disinterested in smiling and being friendly. We have had a few times where our waitress was great but it is hit or miss and I'd prefer not going when it's not going to be enjoyable. Good food though. read more

it's sad to see this place go down in quality! i used to love coming here for fresh pastries and good service but the last few months every time i have come in the morning the girl in drive through has been really short and every time i have asked, she told he they didn't have any fresh pastries that day. This place is awful now! They used to be amazing but since they got new management EVERY single time I come in they mess up! I get the same thing every time and I have given them another chance over and over again and the last three times have been terrible and I won't go here anymore and will not recommend anyone else here anymore. The first time all the meat was on one side of the panini and the other side only had tomatoes and it made the bread soggy. The second time my sandwich had two pepperoncinis on the whole paninis and tomatoes which I asked to be taken off. This time I still had tomatoes on it which for the third time I have asked to not have and it has some weird sauce on it. I get the same thing every time. I'm don't coming here. read more

This is a hard review for me to write because I love this place and I think it has amazing potential. However, he last five times I've been in there they have completely got everything wrong. I don't know if it's the system they use and the fact that the person taking your order is not the same as the person making your order, but they just can't seem to get it right. I guess what infuriates me more is that they don't seem to care that your order is wrong either. I have spent over 20-40 dollars at this establishment multiple times just to have my order wrong when it comes to my table. I work in the industry and actually make coffee for a living so I know the importance of listening to your customer and insuring that they get the best experience possible. All I can say is I think today was the last time I'll be returning to MSB for awhile because I became so disheartened by the situation. I hope you guys find a way to avoid this situation in the future, because I believe this place is better than the experiences I have had. read more

NANAIMO BARS. They have Nanaimo bars! Thick bottom layer and just the right amount of custard and chocolate layers to be sweet but not sickly sweet. I also had a tasty cran-turkey wrap that was generous with the turkey but could have used more cream cheese and cran. Maybe next time I'll ask for extra cran on the side. There will certainly be a next time! Service was cheerful and fast. Soap in women's bathroom did not smell nice...reminiscent of moth balls. 5 stars despite the soap and meager cream cheese. read more

I wanted to eat at short bus bistro which is next to maple street. Short bus wasn't open yet so I went to Maple street and it was delicious. I got a piece of quiche Lorraine and it was one one the best quiches I've ever had. My boyfriend had the breakfast club on a plain bagel and really enjoyed it. The place was busy and clean.
