The garlic parm bagel is sooo yummy. I recently tried their breakfast sandwich to go to fuel up for a busy day and it was great. Their chicken Caesar wrap is great. The environment is nice and clean, it was so cold inside we got an extra coat. We were freezing! The steel cut oats were put in a cold ceramic bowl, so they quickly were cold. I made myself eat them. Just oats with sugar and fruit. The biscuit sandwich also that was ordered, the bread was flavorless my friend said it was like cardboard. A girl that was taking our order needs to know she's getting an infection where the bar is placed in her eyebrow. The rolls they have displayed look amazing. I didn't eat one though. So, I have lived on the Northside of Spokane for over 30 years, I had a ten dollar a day coffee habit. I gave the coffee up, but PASTRIES drove me to several South Hill bakeries/coffee shops, even one along the Pullman Highway. Thinking there is Nothing up north. Well, I was Wrong!!! Rumors started coming to my ears about the Maple Street Bistro. I finally made my way up Maple to their location. I had a specialty Vanilla latte, the drink was strong without a hint of bitterness. What a Delight : ) I also enjoyed one of THE GREATEST OF ALL TIME PECAN SWEET ROLLS!!! Served up by PAGE, WOW, WOW, WOW!!! Page personally selected a Pecan roll that had so many Pecans, that after eating half the roll a feeling of Euphoria overwhelmed my Being, that brought a smile to my face and lifted my Spirits about the morning. Wow! Amazing ! Maple street bistro met my expectations when it comes to starting off your morning at a restaurant with a banger breakfast ! For starters the owner is super sweet. I love her attitude and how she can instantly just brighten up your day with the way she present herself, she was very helpful with making me decide what smoothie I should get ( I got the banana, peanut butter, vanilla and chia seeds smoothie, it was delicious) . The menu is super simple and easy to read, there's many options to choose from. My husband and I had a breakfast club sandwich with everything and cheese bagel with no ham sub turkey and I tell ya my husband had to get another one because it was just that good. The service is great, employees are friendly, and the price is affordable. If you're from out of town or even live in Spokane I highly suggest to visit here !! I've been coming to this place for YEARS. I've always enjoyed their coffee and house-made baked goods and food items. I have a tradition of stopping by for a coffee and a muffin/scone every few weeks. But I just can't do it anymore. Over the past few years they've started to add an absolute TON of sugar to their baked goods. My muffin today was so sugar topped it was straight up white, and there was melted sugar down the sides of the muffin. Even after trying to brush some of it off the whole top of the muffin was just baked in sugar. The sugar topping on a muffin is supposed to enhance the flavor of the muffin, not completely overpower it! Maybe go back to the larger granules of sugar instead of the fine grind table sugar, and have your bakers hold off on completely drowning each muffin? Please? read more

every time I go here they never have the food items I'm hoping for. When I get a hot drink it's never ever really hot! I always have to get it fixed. The place has limited seating but the worst part is everything echoes in there. You can't have a normal conversation in there without yelling at each other. mommies bring their kiddos there and that just adds to the noise problem. Really miss the other owners. Amazing atmosphere, service and food! My husband and I both had the breakfast wrap and it did not disappoint. Definitely ask for a side of chipolte ranch, adds flavor and heat. A friend of mine told me about the pumpkin bars this place sells so I have gone through the drive thru several times for their coffee and various pastries. All have been fantastic and reasonably priced. The staff is warm and friendly and at some point I'll need to sit inside and order off their menu. read more

This place has been up and down. Under the original owners, it was great! Then with the next owners, it was lame - they didn't seem to really care about the business. Now we're onto yet another set of owners, and they definitely care again. I miss the herbs in the window boxes, but now they have a cute succulent motif. Their food is good, and their coffee too. I think their baristas are green though, because they don't know what a ristretto shot is. I'm not a barista, so I can't tell them how to make it, I just know I like my espresso that way. So, when we go here, I just get normal shots, because the one time I attempted to explain how I thought it was done, it just tasted like watery espresso. I like that they offer gluten free baked goods, and cold brew coffee. However, they never make enough of either and are always out well before closing time, so I took a star off for that. I also wish they were open until 4, not 3. So often we hit the midday slump, and they're closed, so we end up at Starbucks down the street instead. read more

I'm not sure how I haven't written a review for MsB yet...but here goes. I love this cozy little spot! My friend brought me here about 3-4 years ago and raves about the yummy steel cut oats. I gave it a chance but thought "how could oatmeal be that exciting...". Well, she was not wrong. Most menu items are also served with a yummy bit of homemade applesauce. It's chunky, cinnamon filled and not too sweet. There are a number of things to order either from the bakery/deli case as well as made to order. Prices are good, management is sweet (they recently changed management and I didn't meet management previously), and the coffee and food is delicious. Stopped by here because it showed up as one of the better places to go. It's was okay, nothing to write home about. The lady taking our order didn't listen real well to what we asked for. We got two mochas, one with whip and drizzle and one without, she got them both without. While I know each place uses a different recipe for their coffee, this mocha just tasted off, like the shots of espresso were burnt. The bagels were tasty as was the cinnamon roll, no complaints about the food. It was tasty. We went through the drive thru so I can't say anything about inside. The lady taking our order was slightly unpleasant like maybe she needed more sleep or that's just who she is. It just didn't set a decent tone for the interaction. I don't think we will be back. There are plenty of other coffee joints in the area. Give it a try and make your own judgement. Edited to add: we stopped somewhere else for coffee, we couldn't finish our drinks. Club Bagel Sandwich was very good! They were out of cinnamon rolls at 10 am which was sad because I was excited to try them! I've only ever had my food from here delivered through Doordash or Grubhub. They always accomodate every request I have. Upon hitting the road again on a road trip, my husband and I were looking for a little specialty coffee/tea house. I stumbled upon this place on Yelp and we decided to give it a try. It's a cute quaint little place with the right idea. We ordered a bunch of goodies. The wait for our items was a bit long. They maybe seem a little unorganized or not used to large orders and/or a rush of people. We ordered the Turkeyocini panini, the homemade Greek yogurt blueberry banana strawberry parfait, a banana coconut muffin, a brown butter Snickerdoodle, a ham panini, a pumpkin bar, and a brown sugar lavender latte. I ordered the Turkeyocini (panini sandwich). My sandwich was okay. I will say it wasn't warm like a panini. The bread was grilled like a panini, but the provolone cheese within the panini was not melted a bit. It was still pretty decent though. Great flavor combination. The yogurt parfait was actually pretty tasty. Their homemade greek yogurt was a win. I ordered it with honey, granola, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. The brown butter snickerdoodle was also very good, a very rich cookie. The banana coconut muffin was divine. It was amazingly delicious. What a great flavor combo. Wonderfully moist bread on the muffin with perfectly toasted coconut atop. I was extremely please with this item. My husband ordered a ham panini. Oh goodness, this was a fail. We opened the box to find 2 pieces of limp wheat toast with literally half of one grill mark. The rest was raw, ungrilled wheat bread. It was greasy and completely unappetizing. He actually took it back and brought it to their attention. The employees were very apologetic and offered a new panini, but my husband declined and opted for a homemade greek yogurt parfait. They also gave him a coconut water and a free drink coupon for a return visit. He also ordered a pumpkin bar, which was more like a pumpkin cake in size. It was also amazing. He loved it! (He never "loves" anything) Again, wonderfully moist with rich creamy cream cheese topping. All in all they have a good little thing going, maybe just slow down and streamline things a bit. We appreciate their concern and attempt at a reconciliation. I will say whomever makes their baked goods has a knack for pastry baking because their baked items were DELISH. read more

I came to Maple Street Bistro for lunch and thought it was adorable! They have an awesome coffee, tea, frappe, and smoothie collection. The menu was surprisingly good too. There are breakfast sandwiches, salads, paninis, lunch sandwiches, pastries, bread, etc. Their bread is home made too! It comes out as a giant rectangle of bread. I wanted to dive into it like a mattress and take a bite. I ordered the greek salad. It was awesome. The large portion was enough for a decent lunch. It came with pita bread and hummus as part of the salad. Winning. My coworkers had sandwiches and paninis and thought they were tasty as well. The owner seems nasty, doesn't know how to take a negative review, and has accused multiple reviewers of lying. Take the criticism in stride and even if it's negative, you don't get to have an opinion on someone's experience. I read one where you said their coffee was steamed to a 'perfect 160°,' did you make their coffee yourself? Doubt it. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. I've been here a few times if you're wondering. It was neither bad nor 'outstanding.' You have lovely employees though. It's also a very good looking establishment. Kinda spendy, but I understand inflation hits small businesses just the same as consumers. I also saw one reviewer say 'they ask for tips up front.' So what, so does Starbucks. That's an example of someone being salty, but you don't need to be salty back. You're like an entire salt shaker responding to bad reviews. I understand running a small business is stressful, but you're making it harder on yourself. Also, Reddit is eating your lunch. Well, not your lunch from Maple Street Bistro; obviously no one will be returning whomever they are. Quit being nasty. You'll notice almost every other business respond with an apology for the experience. Of course some people are just salty and like to complain even if things are perfect, but you need to learn how to take the high road. Once Reddit has a hold of you...ouch...you're toast. read more

Wow! Where do I even start? This place was amazing! We are away from home and needed a convenient quick place I could stop with my large family of 9! I was able to go in and make a to go order without feeling rushed or pressured even though the place was packed. The girl at the counter was so friendly and helpful. The food was beyond delicious! The focaccia bread was my favorite part. I got the club with the Pineapple and the flavor was bursting. The breakfast sandwiches were so convenient because they were cut in half which was perfect for all my kids to share. The applesauce tasted like apple pie filling. I wish I had a whole jar of it! Love supporting local businesses. We will definitely come back again if we're ever in the Spokane area! Customer service and food is 100%!!
