Looked at an old menu photo, ordered their Mexican combo plate for a lunch. According to the photo it was $18 bucks seemed normal for prices today. Got to the restaurant and they ring me up for 27 and change with tax. At this point I was hangry and didn't care. It was a tiny street taco a chile rellano and an enchilada. Food and service is great I try to come in at least once a month but sometimes I do come in couple of times a month I love the Micheladas.

This place is going downhill now, went yesterday got the breaded shrimp it was over cooked and so chewy it was not edible. Will not be coming back. Don't recommend this place. read more

Mediocre, mediocre and mediocre! Unfortunately, I and my lovely lady did not find anything special about this place! It is a very telling sign, when there were three tables occupied at 6:00 pm. The fish in the fish taco was way over cooked and no sauce! Fajita had very few pieces of vegetables in it. I guess Green Bell Pepper, Onion, or mushrooms were too expensive to put in the dish. Refried been tasted out of a can. The salsa was totally tasteless it was probably a jar salsa. Rice had absolutely no seasoning. This place will go away soon like many others, unless they change the taste of the food. Please learn from other failed restaurants! read more

I've been coming here for the last 20 years since I was a kid. I probably come eat here like 20 times a year. In all those years maybe 3 times the service or food were a little off. But they were always quick to fix it. Best Mexican seafood in town. The mojarras al mojo de ajo are the shit!!! I've tried alot of other place around town, but if I want good seafood at a good price I always come back here. The owner is always very and nice and makes sure everything is okay. I've seen him helping out when it's busy, shows that he really cares about his restaurant. Its a nice little hidden gem that's worth checking out. read more

Mar Y Tierra is a mom and pop Mexican restaurant that is worth the stop. My husband gets their carne asada and it is the best. I have ordered every type of shrimp and enjoyed every plate. The prices are reasonable and the service is good. Their salsa and chips are really good and the service is consistently good. read more

This place had amazing customer service. I had ordered a ceviche tostada & camarones a la diabla. The ceviche tostada was so good , but the camarones a la diabla weren't that good. They tasted like alot of chipotle and I was not to fond of that. They were not even spicy and once again no refils on the drinks . read more

This is a hole in the wall gem. Not in the greatest part of town but the food is so good you should risk your life to get it. They put bacon in their fajitas(steak, chicken and shrimp) and they have the best chips and salsa in town. read more

We have been coming to Mar y Tierra for like 15-16 years if not longer this was the only bad experience I've had. I ordered the usual enchiladas verdes de pollo and a carne asada burrito with a taco . After we received the food we noticed an unfamiliar taste in the tacos and burrito. We continued to consume the food because we don't like to complain or waste food. The waiter finally came around and I informed her about the odd taste in the carne asada because my kid stopped eating it. She pointed out that "it couldn't have been so bad if he had eaten half of it." And that she would have replaced it with another if it wasn't half eaten (I didn't even ask for a replacement)I told her we weren't looking to get anything replaced, just that we come here a lot and it WAS one of our favorite restaurants and never had the carne asada taste like that! She even asked to taste the meat which she did and left to the kitchen. She comes back and informed us that the strong taste was that of garlic because apparently the new cooks add a garlic/garlic oil to the asada. The owner came by and mentioned the same and that some guest enjoyed it while some did not. In my opinion Maybe that should be requested and not added. Another thing I didn't mention was that one of my enchiladas tasted raw in the center and I couldn't finish my meal. I don't think I could come back or recommend this for the time being....not for a while at least. I hope it will be back to it original quality. I'll give it a year before I return for a second chance just because of how long I've been patronizing this place. I was Extremely disappointed in the quality of food and the waitress implies. We paid full price for our food and left... didn't ask for anything just that they go back to how they used to make the asada. read more

Probably the most authentic Mexican taqueria on the east side of Las Vegas. At first glance this restaurant seems like your ordinary hole-in-the-wall taqueria, that is until you try their food. I ordered the tacos de lengua. Initial thoughts upon opening my to-go container were that these tacos look like any other ordinary tacos, then I bit into one of these delicious meat vessels. Went in here for some shrimp cocktails and maybe something else. Read some reviews about this place here and they made this place sound amazing. We order the shrimp cocktails with octopus and some micheladas but they were both just ok. The michelada itself didn't have much flavor and neither did the cocktail. I've had way better sea food.
