Marabú restaurant was Amazing! We had a reservation at 7:30pm for a party of four and was immediately checked in and seated. Our waiter for the night was Marcia and she was outstanding! First time trying Marabu and it was beyond excellent! Everything we ordered was delicious!! We ordered the Tropical Ceviche and Ropa Vieja Empanada as our appetizers and it definitively set the tone for our main dishes, just perfection! Had dinner on a Thursday evening and we did not have a reservation but we were seated immediately. Service was prompt and our server, Veronica, was friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoyed her job. She was so attentive and always smiling. I'm so glad that we decided not to go to a very well known restaurant in Little Havana and chose Marabu instead. The reviews on Yelp and trip advisor are definitely true and on point about this restaurant, nothing but great things. Will definitely be coming back!!! read more

I have never felt so gypped in a restaurant. My husband and I ordered the Florida Lobster (most expensive item on menu) which the menu specified as flambeed table side with lobster and prawns. The dish came like a stew, and when I asked the waiter about flambe, he said a couple days back a customer was supposedly injured by the flambe so they discontinued it. Ok fine. But tell us so we know exactly what to expect. Then the lobster comes all cut up, not a whole lobster, not even a full lobster tail. And the prawns listed on menu? What a joke. More like regular shrimps. Too bad because restaurant has great ambience and there were other food we ordered that was good, but will never go back given our disappointing experience. To add insult to injury the bill came with automatic 18% gratuity for a waiter that didn't do his job well. Sad! read more

We went to this restaurant two days in a row. The first day our server was wonderful. We both ordered the Cuban sandwich and it was delicious. I had the mojito which was also wonderful. When we received the check an 18 percent gratuity was already added which was fine with us. We added an additional 2 percent tip because we usually tip 20 percent for good service/food. We went back again the next day for supper. The exact same Cuban sandwich was $24 vs the $16 from the day before. I ordered a mojito which was $16 and had so much lime in it I couldn't drink it. I told the waitress and they responded by bringing me more simple syrup instead of remaking it. The Cuban sandwich came out cold. When I complained they brought it back to the kitchen and reheated it instead of remaking it and serving it warm. The waitresses made no attempt at compensating us for any of this and the 18 percent gratuity was still automatically added to our check. While leaving I also lodged a complaint with the Manager (Michael) . I told him about the multiple issues and instead of rectifying the issue right then and there told us to come back the next day and "He would take care of us". We will not be back. read more

What a wonderful experience we had at this restaurant. We were visiting out of town from Philly and like to try new resteraunts all the time. But looking for middle cost range that won't break the bank, as opposed to fancy steakhouse costs or james beard costs. This place hit those points along with being delicious Cuban food, great ambiance and wonderful service. Shoutout to Joao! Croquettes were so good. And if you are undecided, the shortrib corn dish was the best thing at the table. If you are visiting, it's also in Brickell, so walking distance to tons of bars and dancing for a night out. The neighborhood is all age ranges, so you could go out in your 20's or 40s and not feel out of place at the bars afterwards. read more

Delicious food, nice ambiance, great service. Glad I made a reservation as it got busy quick! The grilled octopus appetizer was very tasty and perfectly cooked (not overly chewy, actually quite soft). Truffle yuca fries were also crispy and delicious!
