I used to love going to Marabú and the service was always great, which is why I give it 3 stars instead of 1. However, on my latest visit on Dec 30, We had terrible service from Joao. He had an attitude, rushed us to leave, brought us the check without us asking, didn't want to bring us more drinks and ended up overcharging us for some "yuca fried" that we never ordered or got. When we noticed he was long gone so we couldn't even argue it. We ended up having to go to the bar to order coffees. It had been a while since we had such bad service somewhere. Unfortunately the tip was already included and we didn't want to cause a scene but he deserved 0%. read more

Excellent service, Marcia was our server, and the restaurant has a very cool vibe. Drinks were good and food was delicious. We ordered the ROPA VIEJA, wow, it was good. The CROQUETAS were delish- we got chicken and I bet the ham would be even better. The ENSALADITA DE PEPINO was also very good and refreshing. A surprisingly fun evening!! :) As we were walking looking at a spot with the gf, to have a drink and a quick appetizer, we were lulled by the hostess that the place has "The best mojito in miami", it sounded fun and the appetizer looked delish so we decided to check it out! We sat at the bar, and had a mojito.. it was great but what really stood out for us was the service and atmosphere, Despite the place being busy everyone was courteous to us, the bartenders were nice despite rushing and making drinks for a multitude of orders... The food was delish, and the prices were fair... at the end we wanted to split the bill between three parties on two credit cards... and they got the split wrong (we wanted two thirds of the amount on one card and the rest on other card). When we told them about it, they corrected it right away and gave us free shots which was totally cool and made our night!!!! Top floor restaurant in Brickell city center. Loved the layout of the place and tastefully designed. We sat at the bar to eat since the wait was 45 minutes on a Friday night, not bad, but we were hungry lol. We ordered mojitos- so fresh and comes with a sugar cane in it. Cucumber salad had a great tangy taste to it, it was delicious! The rest of our food had an hour and a half delay. The bartenders gave us free shots and I imagine that may be why LOL. We still enjoyed ourselves and the crunch slow cooked beef was well worth the wait. read more

Honestly, best food I've had in a very long time! A girls chat led us for a happy hour in Brickell City Centre then we decided to have dinner here. Soo glad we did!!! Our waiter suggested I get the pork (which I hadn't had in almost two years) and I was left speechless when I ate it! It was so tender, juicy, the flavor was point! OMG. My mouth is watering as I write this. Because it came on a "mock caja china" my only feedback was to bring it out on that for theatrics but then remove it once it's on the table. Because I served myself I left the rest on the mini grill and it over cooked. The waiter was very nice and brought another bit of pork, but besides that everything was amazing! It's at the top of a outdoor mall area. With the open air seating it got pretty toasty on a hot day. The server was knowledgeable and had some suggestions on items on the menu. The mojitos were great. If you a light weight please consider not ordering it. The shredded steak dish was tasty but way to much salt. The 1/2 chicken was cooked to perfection. Rice and beans and plantains came with both meals which were flavorful. The woman's bathroom is in the back of the restaurant. It was very clean but consist of two stalls. Stunning interior design and vibrant music to bring a very exotic and contemporary Cuban vibes! My husband and I went there for a date night when we both craved for Cuban cuisine, and we really enjoyed the whole ambiance of the restaurant! Grilled octopus and Cuban fried rice are highly recommended. Of course, ask for extra fried plantains which balance well with a heavier dish if you do not like too salty. Interesting place in Brickell City Centre directly next to Tacology. They have a sort-of outdoor dining tables. As outdoors as you can be while still being within the mall! The indoor bar is BEAUTIFUL. Honestly the entire space is so aesthetically pleasing. It was a weekend night so they were busy but even so the service was amazing. Everyone was very attentive and helpful when we needed something. Seriously, 10/10 service! You can always appreciate that in Miami. As for the food, the appetizers really did it for us: Tuna tostones were flavorful and had the perfect crisp I could not get over the stuffed plantain. Wow. It had cheese, bacon (?) bits, idk, it was delicious in the way that things that aren't good for you are haha We also shared some croquettas of course! The main entrees were okay. The pernil we shared was a bit bland in flavor and the Cuban fried rice also could use some either salt or umami-- there was SOMETHING missing and I couldn't place my finger on what it was. Compared to the appetizers the entrees just didn't compare. I would consider coming back for appetizers and more cocktails! They're doing a good job here :) worth trying out read more
