First I want to say of you come here clear your day because you may be here for awhile! When I came here I should have looked to see how many people were waiting by the pick up area, as the order area was completely empty (due to how people were waiting on their food). There is not much on the menu as it is a burger spot but they do have chicken wings. The burger was good and the fries were even better! It is on Venice beach which I think is great if you want to have burgers and fries on the beach. Now the pick up was like getting on a crowded subway in New York. The employees yell your order without a microphone so if your not near the window, then good luck on hearing your order. Also they skipped some numbers so some orders were just chilling. It was also a Saturday so it was packed! There is not a lot seats in the patio area so it's best if you take your food and go. I went on 8/24/25 and honestly I won't return. Now the service was moving fast we waited for about 15 mins to get our food . I ordered the smash burger the only thing I did not like that it was small like a cheeseburger from Mc Donald's , the taste was just ok not nasty like getting a burger from any hamburger stand the fries were good. My boyfriend ordered chicken wings honey Barbque other half lemon pepper however they combined the two spices together that's how they do it and we didn't no and we didn't like that taste together n the wings came out tuff we ordered another set still tuff with the spices mixed together we only could eat a few before we packed it up and gave them away . The burger was very good, the fries were as well although they were soggy. The blue lemonade was good. The service was good up front but when it came to getting the food it took about 40 minutes my fries should of been Kristy not soggy for that wait time. I paid $27 for 1 combo. i visited marathon burger venice on march 13 around 1:30 pm and had a frustrating experience from the start. when i walked in, there was no greeting at all and no clear direction on where to order. i stood there for a moment trying to figure it out on my own. after finally placing my order and paying, i was then told there would be about a 25-minute wait. that's something that should be communicated upfront before customers pay, not after the fact. while waiting, multiple people (including myself) checked in on their orders. each time, the response from staff came off dismissive and a bit rude, basically repeating that "no numbers have been called yet." there was no effort to reassure customers or give any kind of update, just short responses that didn't feel welcoming. another downside is there's no real outdoor seating or waiting area, which makes the long wait even more uncomfortable, especially in a busy area like venice. i understand places get busy, but basic communication and customer service go a long way. a simple greeting, clear instructions, and letting people know about wait times ahead of time would make a huge difference. the situation didn't need to feel as frustrating as it did. read more
