There was also a small bowl of udon noodles, some sashimi, a crispy tempura shrimp in a yummy creamy sauce, flavorful edamame, mashed potato with corn, and some pickled veggies - quite the diverse array, all of which was tasty. The restaurant itself has a rather simple yet elegant Japanese wooden design. The prices suggest it's a more high end place, but the vibe is actually rather casual. The staff are very attentive and the service speed is pretty quick. Overall, I would definitely give Moru 4.5 stars if I could. I think it's great for most types of occasions, and the only reasons it's not getting 5 stars is because I do think the prices are a tad higher than I would've hoped and I think they could've done a bit more in terms of designing the place to match the price point. That being said, I still highly recommend Moru, especially for a nice lunch.

I don't know what the hype is all about. They charge you for every little thing you order. Second their bathroom is strange. It's located in the kitchen... They separate it by a curtain and when I was going to the bathroom, I saw the chef sneeze while he was placing the dumpling onto the plate... And guess who's dumpling that ended up being. Also the sushi chef is extremely rude. I asked him for some spicy mayo on my philly roll and he gave me this blank stare and started mumbling under his breath in korean. I'm Hispanic but my wife is korean so I understand some words he said. I was baffled at his ignorance and rudeness. You can find better sushi spots in North Jersey with excellent service. read more

If you are the fan of molecular gastronomy than Marathon Sushi is the right place for you. $20 for 3 regular rolls, 5 to 6 small pieces of mini sushi each, is nothing but a total rip off. Considering its miniature size, bland taste, and "whole in the wall" restaurant size, I feel cheated because this lunch should have cost at least 30% less. read more
